Any of you guys who installed SAFCs .. what kind of fuel consumption improvements did you get? (for those who bought them to make their cons more lean).
skyline33 and dAVE are selling them.
skyline33 has a series 2 silver.
dAVE has a series 1 black.
A few others selling too, but I forgot whom sorry.
Cheers,
Tim
I think V saw a particular car on the Carizma stock list which fit the bill.
He lives in Sydney.. so he was tossing up going down there to check it out.
Hey Doc,
When is this buy going ahead? I won't be getting my Skyline till at least Dec 3rd, and may need some kit - but I don't know until then cos I haven't 100% picked my car
Cheers,
Tim
Hey Scotty,
1.5's almost always seem to have Series 2 wings, Series 1 front bars and SINGLE driver's side airbags (vs. drivers and passengers).
In the attached image, you can clearly see the Series 2 passengers airbag (as well as the driver's in the steering wheel).
Scotty,
Basically, Series 1 were made up till 1996 (well technically 1995, but I've seen pics of CLAIMED 1996 cars which clearly have Series 1 parts). And Series 2 were from 1996 onwards.
Beware of claimed Series 2's made in 1995 because they are often "Series 1.5" which has a bit of both. However, I have seen a couple of 1995s which are full Series 2s.
Confused yet?
I'd like to know too..
BTW Chillgoon, prolly a good idea to specify what car you want to retrim.
I would like to know how much it'll cost to retrim an R33.
I checked out the premium of a GTS (n/a). Truth be told, I didn't shop around as much as I did for the premiums for a GTS-T, but I found that the price diff between a GTS and GTS-T was worth the extra.
But yeah, you're already paying through the teeth for a Skyline in the first place. The small insurance differences and the larger performance differences were the reason why I decided to just go the whole hog and get a turbo.
Cheers,
Tim
How dodgy Akeenan!!
My mum parked at North Sydney train station a while ago and these guys had manually wound down her passenger window (it's a power window). But someone chased them away too I think, cos nothing was stolen.
I agree with the park-far-away logic, less traffic = less possible problems.
But if your car is out of sight, wouldn't it make it more appealing for theives and people to vandalise your car?
Cheers,
Tim
The 911 Turbo has constant 4wd, but a computer controls how much power goes to each WHEEL.
Normally the distribution is like 75% on the rear, 25% to the front. When things get slippery, it goes to like 60/40%.
These are just things I heard from that Tif guy from Top Gear (I have an mpeg of the 911t review).
Cheers,
Tim
Hey guys, anyone got a photo of the R34 GT-R wheels on an R33 (series 2 would be good )?
Also, where can I get this chin spoiler:
I found this on the UAS site, but as you can see, it's slightly different:
