what about a maxima for like 20-23k? it's got a decent motor, locally delivered which will improve resale, you can get like a 98-2001 model, it's just as luxurious on the inside and you get log books! or a magna * edit: and you'll actually be able to insure it for a reasonable price (half the price with a *big* company which has pretty much anything goes policies)

the 2 door coupe looks a lot more stylish. i personally wouldn't consider the 4dr skyline, if i wanted practicality i'd just get a locally delivered car to run about in. the coupe has a lot of room for a coupe, but just remember, the seats don't fold down (at least in an r33) because the battery is in between the rear seats and boot.

yeah a lot of guys don't care about cars, but it's horses for courses, as long as you have an interest in something it's fine

i find i got dirty looks more because people were jealous. like "nice car ... but why are you driving it?" having said that, when people look at my car, i often don't notice and that might appear to be rude. but if i ever see a car i really respect on the street (m3, 911 turbo/gt2/gt3, e55) i always maybe a point to give a big thumbs up and tell them they have a great car and in every instance they are really appreciative and often humble.

i sold my skyline because i had a little more to spend and i wanted a low profile car. not worth any hassles, even if it's not dangerous things like keying, i wouldn't wanna risk it.

if you want to give me the the benefit of the doubt.. you could say chicks want a partner who is successful and can be a provider. but you do get the really superficial ones who just wanna be seen in the passenger seat of an xyz you would wanna date a guy/chick who is good at what they do and is doing something interesting and important...

i think a lot of chicks know that a "skyline" is a desirable car for teens and 20-somethings. so if you say you drive a skyline, they think you're cool (or a rev head). but there is definitely more of a stereotype associated with a "skyline" driver, than say a "celica" or a "prelude" driver. if you're talking about chicks, you'd definitely want your personality to be your forte and not let anything else speak for you. maybe we should all catch cabs when we go out on dates my 2c
