back when the HSV GTS300 came out they were all like "this is the BMW M5 and M-B E55 killer", they compared all 3 in Motor mag. I am a big fan of the M5 and E55, and i'm happy that the new E55 has 350+kw (0-100 in 4.7s) and kills the GTS300. and the new E60 M5 will be coming out which i'm sure will be comparable to the E55 in performance.

don't rush into it. but pay soemone to look over it for accident damage, and a basic check that the car works fine. also, remember if you are buying from a dealer, you have a statuatory 3mo wty which is pretty compehensive.

you know how there are 3 modes? in/"stop"/out? does it wreck the motor if you leave it on in/out? i.e. is the motor always trying to move, like keeping your finger on the window down after it's already down..

i've had my skyline for almost a year. sometimes i wanna sell it and just buy a "normal" car. mainly cos i always wanna keep a low profile and not have people stare.

wrx's up to 2000 (old chasis) got faster and faster. the 00 "bug eye" used a similar/same engine as the last of the old series but had more weight to carry so they slowed down. but since the bug eye, they have once again been getting faster and faster, more kw, more torque. and now the current wrx is the fastest of all the one subaru have made so far

i saw an RS4 last week, it looks menacing. all 4 wheel guards are flared more than the regular wagon A4 by like 3" on each wheel! B-A-D-A-S-S

i called up the NSW police and asked about penalties. they said it was like a $1000 fine or something. I didn't ask too many questions but it was inferred that only fines would make up the penalty. and continuing with what GeneralSpeed said, no matter how good your detector is, it won't stop it being blatantly obvious you know about a radar. i've heard that cops will just turn their radar on/off and try and listen for the screeching of tyres however, you could just say you just saw them and you slowed down cos you thought there was a hazard.. mmmkay!

my friend sold his s15 and he wanted something a bit cheaper and definitely more practical, he looked at the rexy wagon for a while. a tonne of bang and a lot of bootspace! i'm cursed with never being satisfied.. next i want an M3, then an E55 and finally a 911t! then i will be able to sleep well at night hehe

that has happened to me. fair go, if you don't look dodgy you don't deserve to be harassed. rbts and cops just cruising around are also passively check plates to check they're not stolen or dodgy.

this might sound vague, but this is what i've heard.. skylines run rich in parts in high rev ranges to "protect" the engine and when you get off the gas, you'll often hear a couple of soft backfires

silvert gts-t, your friend has a GSM based one. radio = sends it's own signal directly to the fob to warn of problems (crap reception) gsm = uses a sim card and the public cellular phone network to relay info

i have a brant nemesis (6pt immob + keypad) and my mate has quiktrak. quiktrak is a reasonable hike over the nemesis, but you get what you pay for. i would definitely get QT if you don't have comprehensive insurance. my car has been in the visitor car parks in apartment blocks when cars have been broken into, and i generally have the most high profile car there and they haven't touched it so i'm pretty happy with it.

i was under the impression that the R34 GT-R wheels cost something like $8000 used?

i have a type M and it comes with side skirts as far as i know. isn't the type S the same as an M but for an N/A GTS?

my friends who hang out on the silvia forums noticed that too (both here and on the silvia forum). i'd put it down to laziness but then you get people who use the wrong spelling of a word, i think they are the kids who haven't started school yet e.g. their/there

i get about 400kms in the city with the tank with only a few litres left. i think i got about 600 on country driving, i've never really go out to the sticks

a factory sunroof won't leak, i have one in my r33 and it's really good. don't get an aftermarket sunroof because you run the risk of causing damage to the roof panels if they do a shit job
