yeah shoes/socks/carpet in your car are the culprets. my friend also pointed out that in winter the air is drier which conducts electricity better it happens to me 90% of the time i get out of my car and started happening as soon as winter set in

guilty: u ever had comp car insurance under your name? (not named driver - has to be under your name). if not, you have no "no claim bonus" and could be looking at 4000-5000. i paid 3100 on a 30% no claim, 21yo, no incidents.

yeah i too am interested in just the wheels - no rubber, i've seen them on an r33 gts-t and they look great. but too many people see to be interested in them

isn't that 2100 worst case scenario? i.e. if it's NOT stolen, it's $1400. and if you didn't have an aft mkt stereo, it'd be $1000. etc. sounds reasonable? also, did anyone get a policy with famous classic in 2002 and renew it in 2003? if so, would you mind stating any rise/fall in your premium? i would like to know what i'm up for in my 2nd year of insurance for my car. my 1st year stats were 21yo male / 1996 gts25t insured for 25k / no convictions/speed fines/any infringements / 30% no claim = $3100

i think my next car will be a little slower but more luxurious. i like the IS200. then an M3 a few years later.

my first check for an r33 gt-r are the rear flared guards. i dunno why anyone would bother having their gts / gts-t rear guards flared.

Hey guys, I entered this $2 charity raffle, and the prize is $80k in 1 or 2 cars (it said caravans and boats too, but screw them). The 80k has to be inclusive of on roads and stamp duty. What would you guys get? If I kept the cars, I'd probably think of getting: * 350Z track * WRX STi (but insurance would prob be too insane) * Lexus IS200 maybe * still thinking. or.. plan b * buy any car which holds value really well and sell it the next day and take the cash (maybe 70-75k) I have 1/600,000 chance of winning - wish me luck! .. what cars would you guys get?

anyone can afford an R34 GT-R NUR spec... then you wake up, and then you cry. heheh! nizmo: yeah i know what you mean, "what does it feel like to drive your dream car?". but the skyline is just a toy to keep myself entertained. what i really want is: 1. porsche 911 turbo 2. bmw m3 3. merc benz e55 (all current models of course!) except i want the m3 first, even though it's my 2nd fav car (it's the cheapest and will prolly give me the most fun). what do you guys want to drive when you grow up? :burnout: *edit: those 3 cars are my favourite but are respective of each other. e.g. i wouldn't get an m5 even though i love them, cos i like the e55 a little more and i don't want 2 very similar cars

why not an r34, there are even fewer of those around the only cars that are so common that i wouldn't get one are commodores and falcons, and believe me, i don't want either of them!

i notice heaps of skylines on the road - but owning one, i tend to notice them more. so i don't know if it was always like that or just me head playing crazy mad tricks on me

speaking of rubber, what is the stock rubber for an r33 gts-t? 205x50x16?

haha if i was a cop... in nsw they have these "what police are targetting" signs, and they put up stuff like speeding, seatbelts and drink driving. i'd have one on my police car, except it'd be like: 1. no blinkers 2. stopping illegally in the middle of the road to drop someone off *when* there is like a place to pull over (which still might be no standing, but still, you're not blocking 5 cars) 3. fools with subwoofers that pump it so loud the whole block can hear - offence intended if you are one of them, it's ridiculous that people in the car would notice the diff between "defeningly loud but only a few people around the car can hear" and "real f*cking loud so the whole block can hear it" 4. tailgaters okay that's my rant.

hey, when i take off, i think i am feeling the clutch slipping.. if i take off between 1,000-1,500 rpm i feel it, but if i take off at 2,000+ it's fine (and 2,500+ it makes this screeching sound and i smell rubber ) does this sound like a clutch that is on its way out?
