  1. Okay, i was playing around with my GTR today attempting to fit the boost controller as i have now got my exhaust fixed yesterday, I plumbed it in in place of what i presume is the standard boost controller, and just wound it down and the intention of backing off as soon as it went above stock boost so i knew that i had it in the right place, but to no avail...is this the correct position for it, do i need to remove that little restrictor in the line or have i got it in the wrong place all together, cheers.
  2. read all the posts and seen that there are a few GTR owners out there with these, just still not 100% sure how to fit it to mine, i was wondering if anyone can tell me where to fit it or send me some pics of it fitted to the RB26DETT engine, ta.
  3. hey, trying to find a front pipe for my 32 GTR, stock is fine as need to get compliance so need to fix it asap as mine has been damaged and has a nice hole in it so the car sounds like a tractor at the moment...pm me if you have anythin available, prefer sydney. cheers. hmm, i posted it then realised i wasnt in wanted to buy section, can mods plz move, ta.
  4. See attached link for details... save me retyping and attaching photos... FS: Proton Satria GLi with GTi Upgrades
  5. hmm, well there was padding all round it so it diddnt hit the sides with the waves on the way over, but once that was out ...slide in past the door, open it, reach in turn on ignition, wind down window, jump thru window yeah, there was 0 room alright...
  6. hehe, it did, i haven't been thorougly over it yet, checked it out in japan before it left in all the common places, but will pull it down as soon as it gets quarantined on monday...
  7. yeah, runs nicely, after i stuck some fuel in her, no engine bay pics of it over here, but this is the engine bay when i first saw it over in japan... Engine Bay
  8. Hey guys, Just thought i'd post some pics of the new arrival i unpacked this mornin The Box Opened the box Then she is out Another angle yeah so its finally here, pretty stock, only had air filters and a strut brace, but in nice condition none the less YAY!
  9. while the car is running flick it off and back on again before it stalls and it should go into 2wd mode or some crap like that, im just gonna put a switch on the dash when i get mine...
  10. Apexi EL series II, black face mechanical boost...looks awesome @ night
  11. if it is just the clutch being sticky, then you can try gettin another throwout bearing, should be pretty cheap from coventreys etc, or clean the existing one up with some degreaser etc. clean up the shaft and grease it up, then stick it all back together and see how it goes...if it is sticking it is probably the bearings in the throwout bearing or the shaft is sticky not letting the bearing to move smoothly... could be the fork or the slave cylinder...but not likely by the look of it....
  12. okay, umm, my opinion...just for another perspective on the whole thing... in the comparison, the two cars are similar weights, they are similarl powered... but what about the gear ratios and diff ratios, they are going to be totally different, thus making them a comparison of apples and oranges... if you were to stick a high ratio diff in the back of an R33 (and it could actually get traction) then it is going to be quicker off the mark, and vice versa, it depends on teh gear ratios of the box too, if first is really tall then second is a long way away then you are going to fall off the cam and the engine will take time to get back "on power"...and then there is the whole torque curve of the engine argument...:S persay, I had a Datsun 180b (once upon a time) with a 4.8:1 diff in it and it kept up with V6's only coz it could accelerate hard...
  13. Yeah man, i reakon it is worth it, my new toy lands tomorrow, have had no hassles whatsoever with customs or anything like that...cheaper than getting the equivalent over here! but i did get in under the 15 year rule so compliance for me is cheaper...still, should be worthwile for you too! mine left on the 28th may, gets here tomorrow, nice and fast, only thing i found expensive was the cost of containers at the moment as I diddn't want to stick it on RORO, but yeah, other than that very happy with the results so far... I went over to japan and found the car myself then got my exporter client over there to stick it in a container for me, sent a customs broker the paperwork over here and voila! it gets here tomorrow, no hassles oh, and as far as i have been told by the broker, as long as you can stick it in a buisness name, it is easy to get a broker here and you get a discount on the fees or something over doing it in your name... only other costly part i can think of is the compliance when it gets here and if you wanted an agent in japan to find the car you want, but by the look of it, that topic has been covered by wrxhoon above...

  17. it would probably only last 10 mins or so i think, and less if ur gonan rev it hard, pack it in tightly and get the sound check then just give it a bit of a rev and it should blow her all out after a while? they used to use that trick on the old Group G rally cars to get the sound down for scrutineering...
