Christmas Is Coming.... And So Is The Sau Nsw Christmas Cruise
DJ Brave replied to Kel's topic in Events Archive
Oh my god!!! We won! :PBJ: :PBJ: Dont know how many times I said that to Kasey on the way home. What a day, had a great time and we didnt even file for divorce at the end of it (bonus). A big thanks goes to everyone who created that run and the questions *nutbaggers*, never done an event like this before. First of many we hope! Awsome lunch, could have had hot snags if we didnt take twice as long to get there as everyone else!!! Thanks for the cool prizes, I now have a fully hectic oil cap on my ride that I will show the rest of the coasties this Thursday night at our usual meet while telling them they missed a cool day out. Good to meet some new people and put faces to names and stuff, of coarse we will be back next year but will more than likely see you all at another event soon!! -

Count me and Tinks in!!!! Tinks just had a small op on her right wrist today so unfortunately SHE will have to navigate and EYE will have to drive. It will be good to only have one cars fuel bill for the day for a change!! Plus, I'm sure the neighbours think we're weird always going out in two cars. Sounds fun and I see that the usual suspects are all going. Bring it on!!! We sent in our memberships early this week so how do we pass as members for next week?? -

Fs: Stock R33 Rims With 80% Tread
DJ Brave replied to sindows's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Will ya take $120??? 80% tread is great, but 80% of what?? What sort of tyres are they??? I dont want to waste your time, I want these rims for drag and track days. Can you please post pics of the tyres or rims so i know that they are worth the money. I dont want to pay for 80% tread of sh*tbox snow tyres that come in on these sort of rims from Japan. A guy is selling a set of 4 standard rims with no tyres from Canberra for $200 ono, i could get those but yours would be first pick for me because they are closer for me to pick up. Standard rims are not worth $75 each if the tyres are crap. If they have reasonable tyres i"ll pay $150 if thats what you want. Either way let me know, thanks mate. -
Hats off to ya Lizzeh, hats off!! What a burn. Smmmmmmokinnnn!!!!!!!

Not a long drive, a long cruz!!! There's a difference.
-
Single garage, aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!! Nice job on the rack though, i especially like the technical and complicated "testing" job. Very thorough.

Central Coast - there'll be at least 6 or so of us again this week. We went down last Friday night and it was shut down due to rain after only 2hrs. Saw some great runs in those 2hrs but the rain started just before the big guns came out so will look forward to seeing them this week!

Where are you coming from mate?

Autostyle (and Other Skyline Places In Syd)
DJ Brave replied to shredder667's topic in New South Wales
I bought my car from "Japlink Motors" Parramatta Rd Haberfield. They have good quality cars and were helpful with info on the car i was looking for. I went into one car yard on Parramatta Rd and stood there for 5 to 10 mins before i had to ring them from there own car yard to get some service and I told the guy there that i wanted a Black series 2 Type M, he said "I've got a white series 2 gts-t over there". I walked out. Japlink is worth a look mate! -
Cant Wash Your Car With A Hose...
DJ Brave replied to Modena's topic in General Automotive Discussion
A couple of months ago I got one of those waterless car wash kits. Not Polyglaz or Kitten or any of that crap, its one from the USA called "Dry Wash N Guard". I have a black Series 2 skyline that i have owned for nearly 2 yrs now and living on the Central Coast we have level 4 water restictions. I "washed" my car with this stuff and holy hellfire buggery bastard batman!!! The car has never looked this black!! I had some water marks in the paint, now gone! I had swirls from polishing too hard and they are dramatically reduced and nearly gone! The distibuter I got it off said the more that I use this stuff the more slight imperfections will disappear. I was sooooo sceptical before using this stuff for obvious reasons with a black car. But the water beads like nothing else now and bugs and stuff are so much easier to get off my car. Before everyone PM's me for where I got it, keep in mind it aint cheap!!!! about $90 bucks for the 500ml kit. But i only used about 60 or 70ml to do my whole car and now if my car isnt that dirty i just wet sponge and chammy it off in 10 mins and it looks smickoe again. Our local carwash place has the water recycling so much that the water actually stinks and leaves brown sh*t on my car so I thought i'd try something different. Anyway sorry for the long post but I think some people would like a different solution to the sh*tty carwashs that do more harm than good for your paint!!! Phanks for reading!! -
It would be an interesting contest but i reakon that the skyline would have better final drive ratio than the commondore, giving it more acceleration. With the same, power in a lighter car, with better gear ratios i think the skyline would do it. But, obviously the commondore i would expect to have a fare bit more torque so as i said , it would be an interesting race. It would be torque Vs ratios!
