umm the word around is no more V8's at F1 Melbourne and negotions ongoing for Indy One thing is for sure if V8's pull the plug on Indy there goes the crowd-not many fans go to see the open wheelers., and V8's lose their one of their biggest at track crowds.

Will be interesting to see if V8's are at Melbourne F1 next year cause Ch 10 still have the rights to F1.

Yeah I agree Ch 10 team did a great job and have been around since 1997 when the V8 supercar deal started- But i think when Ch 7 dropeed $70 mil on the table Ch 10 couldnt match that. $$$$$$$ talks bull shit walks

Im no GTR boy crying-sold all my GTR's. Just with 20 years of drag racing experience I cant believe there are 9 sec cars racing 14 sec cars in any class in competion. Hopefully when more GTR's come on line there can be a GTR class like at the HKS meetings in Japan-beat by far to watch, rather than one or two 7 sec RWD cars you get 15-20 8/9 secs GTR in one class- maybe one day here in Oz

This "20 second rule" was always going to show its ugly head when brackets have 9 sec cars vs 14 sec cars. The slow guy just hops right in to stage and the faster guy has a bigger burn out and heaps of checks to do on staging. Its not usually a prob (only in Pro Stock where they have a staging duel) with the V8 guys cause there are rarely races with cars that vary by 5 seconds. Its bulls#@t having a 1000 hp 155+ mph car vs a 250 hp street car. Other Andra classes have et cutoffs so you dont get a 14 sec street car vs a 9 sec Super Sedan in competion. Id hate to be Theo waiting on the tree for 5 secs on the handicap-thats rubbish. Top qualifyer shouldnt get that bum deal in any class of drag racing

cool - well ive been a Ferrari fan since the Lauda days( Iwas 10 when Nikki got in that fire and I remember it well)I lived in Italy for a couple of years and visited the factory heaps-Ive been at Monza when ferrari won the race 1-2 and the whole country went into party mode for a week-so yeah the try hard Ferrari fans piss me off to. yeah Willaims have lost form no doubt-but they represent something the big factory teams dont-real racers who follow a great leader (Frank) bit like Ferrari b4 they were bought by Fiat in 1969.
