  1. or be a man and ditch the hitachi special *awaiting a 2Rismo flame*
  2. my fav movie- Henry Hill played by a young version of Ray Liotta in Goodfellows "Hey maybe you havnt been keeping up on current events, but we just got our asses kicked, pal!!"
  3. 9.36@141-that is awesome. Does that MPH equate to a 9.3 or did you shut off a bit early so the terminal is down slightly
  4. yep I went in 2003 when Kristensen and co. won in the Bentley speed 8. I was living in Italy at the time so arranged everything from there-I dont remeber it being that expensive-its an awesome race meeting unlike no other
  5. newsflash....Alonso is a self obsessed wanker
  6. TOYOTA knocked this on the head
  7. stock coils fine a 250rwkw-will be fine for alot more power to as long as they are in good nick- I changed mine at 300rwkw
  8. double Yaaaah I lurv this track
  9. CAR: 1990 R32 GTR POWER: 350awkw Cooling System: PWR213 radiator - cant remember thickness with twin thermo fans Water temp street:80 Water temp track :95 highest ever after 15 laps of national QR track (ambient 32-track 48) Oil temp : 100 and stable during 15 laps national track QR edit -forget to mention Greddy oil cooler
  10. Excellent post!!!!! I have built a number of track GTR's and am building a 34GTR very soon safety first- then brakes and weight reduction 2nd ( and yes reliability always needs to be upgraded along the way) Oil temp and water temps must be dealt with on top of the list or your fun will always be cut short. Once you have a neat light, reliable good handling good stopping car then and only then spend money on power-its even better to learn without the power for awhile and gradually bring the power up later good Brakes is where you shave heaps of time edit- forget to mention tyres- Falken Azensis semi slicks are a great budget alternative
  11. I still remeber being at the race when Jimmy richo gave the crowd a mouthful-as we walked out a Datto Stanza in the carpark was set on fire and some poor bastrd in a silver R31 got his car pelted with stubbies
  12. I agreed that the 32GTR was the greatest Group A car ever...all I was doing was trying to give some balance and compare other cars (the evo only cost 30K-so i dont know where youi get 300K from ) to give an insight into the topic-all the bagging of the V8SC is fair enough on a Skyline site - and i agree whole heartily with most of the comments- hell I own 4 GTR's atm (plus 2 GTR tattoos LOL)so you are preaching to the converted-but in saying that I still get impressed by other car I drive that dont have a GTR badge on them
  13. Tim Jenkins the race director makes this call and saves the race finishing under yellow-all drivers were told JR was there by crew chiefs on the radio and a local yellow was in place-with only a couple laps tp go it was decided that this would be ok - if it was more laps it would have been a full yellow with more SC laps
  14. I guess TV is like evrything else in life now- if you want the service you gotta pay. Its like going to the movies of making a phone call. sport on TV has been free from the day it was invented and it looks like that is going to change-what else is free????? nothing really. If I dont have to listen the sht head ch10 taem anymore to watch motorsport Ill pay very happily EDIT - not seeing the top 50% final Qually on Friday cause of the delay and chanel 10 decided that a kids show was more important at 4pm well thats the last straw for me-FK em-Fk FTA...ill pay for a dedicated sport only service anyday
  15. Im with ya there- if people love and want to watch their sport they will pay as do I now-fk FTA anyway
  16. Imagine what that stocko STi would do to a stocko 32GTR at Phillip Isl That was actually my point-these newer weapons (Evo, STi,997 or whatever are the new kids on the block and a much smarter better base for a nice modded car than a 16 year old GTR-it sounds like many have been down that road Edit having just said that Iv bought a 2001 V spec in Japan this morning for my next toy *smacks head against wall* GTR was best Group A ever- no argument there
  17. Ok if you want to look at the best latest up to date car that can be directly related/compared to the good ol' GTR then have a close look and a drive(if ur lucky) of the new 997 Turbo- twin turbo awd Wunder Wagon we are going to do a comparo at QR soon with a stock (almost anyway 34GTR and the 996 Turbo last years model) it will be interesting for sure. Last monday we got a bog stock 997 Carrera S into the the 1:06:5 at Wakefield with the electronic drivers aids off( made 2 sec quicker with all that stuff turned off). It was the 2nd fastest on the day-the fastest was a 996 Turbo. Embarising when so called fast cars like 360 Ferrari and Merc SL55 etc were no where near the porkers times. There was a neat stockish R33 GTR( there too and it was 2nd slowest (1.10:2)-ooops EDIT- forgot to mention in another comparo we did a at QR a Tommi Evo 6.5 was 2.2 secs secs quicker than a 34GTR (both with mild mods-exhaust etc)on the national circuit both on factory type road tyres
  18. Yes it does cause when the original GTR came out it was up against fairly average competion-Porsche 928 and the like - but in 2007 that will be a differnet story- in this day of 1001 HP Bugatti's its a differnt world to back in 1989
  19. Yep me to- but Ill reserve my judgement till I see one in the flesh
  20. Ur a good man Baron - takin one for the team and all
  21. Good ill send my mate down - his name is Craig and he has bushy like eyebrows and drive a Ford(with Betta something Electrical or something on the side) from up here in Qld and he goes alright
