R32 Skyline Carbon Fiber Bonnet
FurryBarry replied to R32_Scotty's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Does this also use the stock bonnet latch? Is it full carbon or carbon skin on fibreglass? -
Os Gieken Triple Plate Clutch
FurryBarry replied to mr_rbman's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
if this is still for sale could you post a pic of the edge of the plates to see how much they have left in them? -
Spotted "YAWN" R32 GTR in Carlton. Parked right next to it without realising. Strange to see two R32s in the wild. His Volks are bigger than mine though. Also bonnet envy.

Carbon Kevlar Bride Seat Fixed Back (l)
FurryBarry replied to bnr324's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi, I'd like to come and have a look and see if I can fit in it properly if possible. I'm in Armidale. Am I following the thread correctly to assume the rail will fit into an R32 GTR? -

Fresh from Japan pics
FurryBarry replied to Beer Baron's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
WEHEY! IT'S THE CARBON BEAST!! I wondered if this thing was going to end up in Australia. So close to buying it but for the hassle of getting it complied with carbon doors. Hope you can find the "right" engineer. Those doors must be worth a mint. Do the latches, hinges and windows operate ok? You must be doing side flips being unable to go for a fang in it, but it's the weekend now so get under there and get crappy brake fluid everywhere. If there's a weighbridge anywhere nearby I'd love to know how much bulk it saves. -

89 model R32 got here via Kiwi and Toll car carriers yesterday and came through with only the boost guage nicked, which I'm happy with as they didn't touch the boost controller, turbo timer or the hand controller. They didn't nick the TE37's either and there are no new scratches or dings that I can see. I'll post pics soon as this is what the thread is about I suppose. Does anyone know how to get rid of the smilies menu from the post reply screen? They're giving me the shiites. -
Self Compliancing
FurryBarry replied to Informer's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Lemme know how you get on sourcing the bits and pieces Informer. I'm doing the same thing with an 89 gtr. What did the shipping fairies appropriate from your car? -
MAP sensor will always be difficult to tune at part throttle on a GTR due to the throttles being downstream of the sensor and so not really reading Manifold pressure. Can the Djetronic correct for throttle position against manifold pressure and react accordingly?

To Buy A 32gtr Or 33gtr?
FurryBarry replied to slaughter's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've just gome through the same decision and ultimately came out buying a 32. The 33 is more practical with rear seating room for people other than legless midgets and a decent sized boot. They're more reliable with less chance of oil pump failure, and have better turbos. Their attesa clutch packs are also partially loaded all of the time so they definitely don't side step towards gumtrees like a 32. As far as looks go, I reckon all gtrs are actually kind of ugly, with the 32s looking less like a wog chariot (apologies to purple R33 owners). In the end though I'll take the 10k I saved buying an R32 instead of a 33 and spend it on 150 extra kw or a round the world holiday. Oh and ISHH, I test the attesa system by getting the owner to put some lock on the front wheels and then fang it from a standstill, then watch the inside front wheel to see how fast it kicks into drive. -
Engine~ V8 5.0L boat anchor, 400hp@4500rpm@the air con compressor. Gearbox~ 6 speed manual or optional automatic. Drive~ Rear wheel drive through blingtastic 20"s Body~ 5000lbs with every gizmo, gimmick, cup holder, tv screen and cruise control. Price~ $USD. Whatever the Seppos are prepared to pay for it. Blame it on the fast and furious. but seriously, 350kw 3.7L V6 twin turbo, seven speed sequential(like a five bladed razor), acres of aluminium and about $100000 oz dollars worth of carbon.

WTB !! Wanted to buy, R32 sedan. For drivetrain conversion, so engine/gearbox condition is unimportant. I'd prefer something registered or registerable, but will consider track only chassis as well. PM me if you've got something.

R32 Gtr 89, $17500k In Melb, Lightly Modded
FurryBarry replied to Rowdyr32's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
I can confirm that the panels are nice and straight. Comes with a nice set of cool retro volks, low and stiff suspension, full exhaust and a big chunky intercooler. Anyone interstate or elsewhere who wants an independent opinion feel free to PM me. I'm no longer in the running as I've just blown my wad of yen on this thing. Thanks for your time on the weekend Gareth and good luck to all concerned. -

Yeah, I wish too. If I'd gotten my arse into gear back in December I'd have saved a few hundred. Just blew my wad of yen at 85 to the $ on this old thing from Hokkaido. Supposed to have R33 N1 motor and R34 N1 snails. The wait begins. -
Does anyone know what RB26 engine numbers were when r33 production started. Are there any other external identifying marks between the r32 and r33 engine? Thanks,
