  1. car is still for sale. Make an offer.
  2. Would love to sell this car this weekend. make and offer. If its a resonable offer the car is yours.
  3. Make: Nissan Model: Skyline R33 GTS-t Milage: 130,000kms Transmission: 5sp manual Colour: white Location: Canberra RWC supplied? No Currently registered? Yes Price: $14,500 ono Contact: Adam 0408273294 Comments / Modifications: Apixi power fc GCG highflow turbo XTR front mount intercooler OS giken adjustable exhaust cam gear Nismo fuel pump Nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator Blitz pod filter Z32 air flow meter 3" turbo back exhaust Carbon fibre bonnet Ganador carbon fibre mirrors 18" ROH drift R wheels Tein coilovers C's short shift kit Razo pedals Nismo floor mats Nismo gear knob Blitz boost gauge central locking and 3 point immobiliser tinted windows I am the first Australian owner of this vehicle. It is a great car. The only things wrong with it are: Needs new front tyres. Plastic gear that controls the front demister vent is striped and makes a ticking sound when the car first starts up. window regulators are a bit noisy at times but still work fine. I have 2 sets of standard wheels. 1 of these sets has legal rubber on it. I have a rego exhaust system including a catalytic converter if you need it. I also have the standard bonnet and mirrors if you require those. I am selling my car because i bought a new one and cant afford to run both. If you want to know anything about the car just give me a call Images:
  4. sorry if this has been posted befor. it would be wrong not to flood the RTAs email with our feelings on the new TV ad. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/index.cg...n=feedback.form
  5. by rear brake solenoid do you mean wheel speed sensor the only component in the ABS system that has solenoids in it, is the ABS unit itself if its a wheel speed sensor then its easy and anyone can fix it if its the ABS unit you will need to replace the whole thing and take it to nissan were if they have the right equipment, they will need to perform the bleeding procedure using the diagnostic computor its all pretty easy i dont know why they are making it sound so hard
  6. the rich/retard safety feature on the standard ecu is much richer than 11:1 and im not saying it will melt the cat down straight away, it could take week or months its just one of those things depends how old and what quality your cat is excess heat and fuel will kill a cat in the end
  7. it is not uncommon for your cat to melt if your tuner likes to tune your car to be a bit on the safe side this is like 11:1 under power or richer with a not so agressive ignition curve this is good because it stops you popping your engine but it also causes a bit more heat and unburnt fuel which is what kills your cat the only time iv ever heard of people getting fines for not having a cat is when they replace it with a straight pipe if it looks like its there than what are they going to do....take it off on the side of the road to prove you havnt punched it id like to see that the only way they could catch you is if they do an emissions test and even if you fail that and they discover you have a puched cat, your not a mechanic and you didnt know that you didnt have a working cat you will be right dont let these guys scare you
  8. im all up for people doing what they want and having a go at something new but take it from someone who know you are crazy to leave what your doing now to become a mechanic in the workshop i work for now(big dealership) they just fired an aprentice who has systic fibrosis(sorry if i spelt it wrong) all this guy wanted to do was become a mechanic with the short time he has left the reason he got fired was because he had to go to hospital for a couple of weeks, which i understand is normal for someone with his illness no warning or anything and their not worried about him going to unfair dismisal because they can sit the case out for longer than he has left to live and the ironic thing about all this is the week after that this same companie had a walk for kids with cancer they care so much welcome to the automotive industry
  9. does the front bar come with indicators and if not how much are they
  10. thats right.with the increase in fuel pressure your injectors will just spray more fuel during the time that they are open for, making it run richer at the same injector duty cycle you have the right idea. if you had after market management and you increase the fuel pressure you can lower your duty cycle thats what i have done with mine
  11. i have never seen a vehicle tuned on an inertia dyno but i dont see that it will cause you any problems as long as the person tuning your car know what they are doing have you considered road tuning because it can be done anywere and the tuning is done in a real driving enviroment so in the end you can get a better running vehicle as long as the tuner knows what their doing
  12. its a great idea if you know a bit about cars i wish i had done it that way when i imported my car dont trust importers i have to spend a fortune getting rust and other things fixed on my car when i payed for one in imaculate condition
  13. get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator if you have a power fc you dont need to get a retune all you have to do is measure your standard fuel pressure fit your new reg and set your fuel pressure a certain percentage above standard then go into your injector settings and take the same percentage off each injector if you take your time and do your maths right you wont have a problem
  14. what about the time it takes to to remove and fit the standard one again what about the hundreds of dollars you spend getting your car tuned just right and then you got to go changing things which do make a diference i bought it as a seperate item and payed good money for it they are not suposed to crack
  15. mine is also warped badly at the ends of the manifold you should try and get your money back as well i think
  16. thanks for posting up those photos i have the exact same manifold and it is cracked in exacly the the same place my is under a year old so i think i might get some money back for it the standard manifold is definatly the way to go unless you want to spend big money
  17. i dont suppose you had a look at the instructions that came with your blitz products. i know its all in japonese but take a look at some of the diagrams included and look were they say it should be i have the instructions to my boost meter right in front of me. it is also a blitz product and it has a nice little diagram of were you place the T peice suplied with the product and it is exacly were the information is telling you not to put it there is a picture of a fuel rail with four injectors in front of it and on the end of that fuel rail there is a fuel pressure reg with a vacuum line coming off it. the vacuum line has a circle around it and there is an arrow going to a nother diagram of the T piece being put into that vacuum line im just wondering why people would think that a company like blitz would tell them the incorrect way to set up their pruduct it is not a fluke because this is also what i have been taught if im wrong im keen to hear other peoples oppions has anyone else been taught a different way
  18. ok i was a bit unclear if you have a vacuum leak anywere after the throttle butterfly you will get a manifold pressure change no matter were you take your reading from so if you have a vacuum leak in your map sensor line, this will also affect you fuel pressure regulator because manifold pressure has changed
  19. it doesnt matter what engine you have either, it is the same for all petrol engines
  20. the best place to tap your boost meter into is the line between the inlet manifold and the fuel pressure regulator. it works in the opposite to what you have been told because at idle you are producing more vacuum than at flat chat because the throttle butterfly is closed works like this IDLE, low pressure(more vacuum)=low fuel pressure(less fuel) wide open throttle, high pressure(less vacuum)=high pressure(more fuel) once your into the positive pressure or boost it holds the pressure regulator closed by putting positive pressure behind the diaphram if a hose were to blow off when under boost you will have a problem weather it is your pressure reg hose or your pcv valve hose thats as simple as i can explain it, i hope it helps you out if you are still confused PM me and ill explain it a bit clearer
  21. you cant buy them brand new from nissan anymore, your gonna have to find a second hand set
  22. yeah i would say that is a pretty good place to start you can see bare wires in the top picture. i would not be suprised at all if thats causing your problem
  23. you have to check if you have an igniter first its a black box that sits on the back of rocker cover with wires going to and from it, if you have the black box then its a series 1 now if all you have up the back is a small wiring plug atached to the back of the rocker cover then its a series 2 its easy you cant miss it i have a 95 model and it takes the series 2 coils the diference is the series 2 coil have a seperate igniter inside each coil hope this helped you
  24. i must admit, i kinda know were the police are coming from with this new law but i think it has been taken a little bit far because it has seems to have be targeted at us in particular i was picking up someone from the scene of a car crash a few days ago and when the police turned up they did their job for about 35 second, they checked everyone involved was alright and the they start looking at my car and start acusing me of being the person they were chasing earlier in the day but nothing came of it once they finally realised how dificult it would have be for me to be out running the cops on on side of town and at work on the other there isnt a single person who can say that these laws havnt been made to target us, but in saying that i would be rather pissed off is some idiot killed me or someone i know because he got his car sideways and discovered he didnt know how to drive half way through the corner the law is suposed to be there to make us think twice about were we go driving for fun if you want to drive like that find some were you can do it without geting reported that way the only person who gets hurt if you make a mistake is yourself and for those of you who say you dont do it or why do it at all are just are lying if they say they have never broken the law in their car skylines were not designed to be driven around like its a kia carnaval(which is more likly to cause a crash anyway) thats just my oppinion correct me if im wrong
  25. you guys are going about this the whole wrong way, trying to fight it in court may get you off but whos to say it wont happen to you again and again if you want this to stop all you have to do is abuse the system all you have to do is choke them up with so many false reports that that its just not worth there time to investigate them all, just dob in evey middle aged wanker who thinks he owns a race car, just wait till you see one of them give it a bit of stick and call the cops saying their wheel broke traction and now your scared to drive your own car for fear of death from a performance vehicle slaming into you while atempting to drift around a corner. when we all know you are more likly to get taken out buy a soccer mum in here four wheel drive who didnt see the red light just my two cent but trust me if enough of those sort of ridiculous claims are made it will all go away pretty soon
