  4. speaking of personalised plates, mine rocked up today: On the down side, my rear tyres look like this: Tas, need tyres. When can you get them in for me, and when do you need cash? Also do you have a balancer or will I have to get em done somewhere else?
  5. quote of the night - "I'm a pom and a ranga - how much more disabled can you get?"
  6. ditto (not on the dint though )
  7. Neither am I. I only tried the semi slicks on the rear once since I had a pair available, to try and get more traction. It was aweful, I won't do it again Old mate earlier in this thread (I forget who it was now ) said he was getting semi slicks put on the rear for more traction. I wanted to advise against it, knowing how bad it will be. Can we agree to disagree on the definition of a semi slick? I think we agree on everything else
  8. I guess my main point is tyres designed for motorsport compared to tyres designed for the street. But whatever, its not worth arguing over. If you run street tyres on the front and something like R888, Re55, A048 on the rear, it will be very unballanced and understeer like a dog when the rears warm up. I know, I tried it with RE55s on the rear one track day. However, if by 'semi slicks' he means something like the federals or khumos, he can probably get away with it.
  9. Khumo KU36, Federal 595 RS-R, are basically just very sticky street tyres with a few less grooves on them, but are marketed as 'semi slicks' Compare that to the likes of Toyo R888, Bridgestone RE55, etc which are proper motorsport tyres. The grip levels and behaviour of the tyres are going to be quite different.
  10. If they are REAL semi slicks (not the fake semi slicks a few tyre companies are promoting these days) don't get them on the rear only, it will be shit! @tas , go the evos all round bro, the fronts do the steering don't skimp on them
  11. If you want to use coilovers you pretty much have to go S13 gear. Thats why i didnt go coilovers
