  1. damn it must be pretty smashed Whats it insured for? Might still be financially viable to repair at that price
  2. Damn sorry to hear that man. Might be a bit out of your way but I'll recommend: G A Wolfe & Co 173 Toombul Rd Northgate (07) 3266 3312 He did a FANTASTIC job on my car when i was rear ended by a falcon. He's a just cars authorised repairer too if you are with them.
  3. P.S. was there a fender bender last night? What happened?
  4. I'd be wanting 160+ actually. Nissan specs say with +/- 14, but yeah 5 or 10 at most would be better. Was planning to crack it open anyway, as something is definitely farked. Don't you know R31 drivers never have cash? jks
  5. Looks like I'm out, won't be able to make it in time
  6. Sorry Taz, forgot to give you a yell compression test: 110, 122, 117, 110, 110, 110
  7. yeah i think for a coupe you don't have to display it but you definitely still need to have one
  8. Haven't had any time to do anything yet. Will probably do something tonight, I will at least do a compression test if I don't feel like actually pulling it apart yet
  9. might be able to free up thursday . Ice cream girls better not dissapoint head comes apart tomorrow night...
  10. It'd want to be in decent nick for that price or a thrashed import buy it. 31s rule
  11. If I make it, I will be late. Hopefully you guys won't have left for sunnybank by the time I get there. Isn't there a closer carwash you could use?
  12. RB20s love limiter. And yeah silvertops are indestructable. Redtops, not so much . POS motor. But you guys probably don't even know what a redtop RB20 is
  13. Thanks Mate, I get where you are coming from now. Sorry I didn't quite follow at first, I thought maybe I could look at the number and determine if it was a NEO or not without having to post it up, if there was some sort of rule to apply or something. Also I wasn't sure if this number was on the exhaust side under the cam cover, or just above the exhaust ports or something. I'm guessing its not under the cam cover and will be obvious when I go and look for it. I will get the number and post it up tonight. Thanks again
  14. Can you please provide a little bit more detail? Where will this number be? Under the cam cover? What about it will distinguish between a NEO and non-NEO head? Thanks in advance for your help
  15. Is there anyway easy way to identify if an RB25DET head is a NEO or not, without having to pulling a lifter out? Lets assume for the sake of argument that it is a bare head with no manifolds, and may have the wrong cams installed so we can't use the CAS drive on the exhaust cam to indentify it
  16. Thursday, we'll have to see. Might be able to come a bit later. Thursday nights are generally not good for me. Its not totally f**ked, but I might stop driving it just to be safe. I've got another car if it comes to that. You guys will love it Dunno what happened, its just sounds really loose. Nasty tapping noise. Possibly smashed a lifter shim. We also suspect it has 33 cams in it, which would not be a good thing. If not, its an entire 33 head which would mean i got ripped . Won't be able to tell till I pull it apart and check it out.
