  1. lol, just edited my post to say check the clutch master cylinder, then saw your post mark. more often than not you will know a clutch is on the way out tho, generally there is a little slip before it dies completely
  2. how were you driving at the time? would be odd for it just to go completely during normal cruising. have you checked your master cylinder reservoir? could have blown a line. did it go bang on a big rpm 1st gear launch? if the other gears are working fine, you may have farked something in the gearbox...
  3. where abouts you located?
  4. i think you're right...?
  5. hey, where was the rebuild done? carried out while you owned the car?

    New Car

look around at a heap of private cars before buying from a dealer and then work out if what they are selling is a good price. a lot of the time they are well overpriced, and the warranties are not really worth much from what i've heard. very hard to get anything out of a dealer once they have your money. do a search of the forum, should be plenty of helpful info here mate
  7. lol, so many haters and so many sucks... back to the topic... what power are you looking to achieve?
  8. hehe, so the owl has finally given way to the lolrus?? nice car mate
  9. awesome to hear that it is up and running, have been following this for a while. are you planning on shielding/venting the pods? would have to be drawing some pretty warm air as they are now.
  10. interesting, might be in. probably would be better to post this in the Vic Section though, don't know how many people would be willing to travel interstate...
  11. hmmm, may stand out, but a whole lotta trouble if your mate gets defected there. also could have a prob if they find the big turbo under the hood let alone a stock turbo (being on his p's and all...) hope he realises the possible headaches, i'd be too worried to drive it on the streets if it's unengineered...
  12. "-Ceramic Turbine -Water & Oil Cooled -Ball-bearing core for quicker spool -Minimal shaft play Can handle upto 1.2 Bar (18PSi) of boost (quoted from Zoom magazine)" ceramic turbine handling 18psi? how sure of this are you?
  13. plenty of cars have different shift patterns. some cars i have driven have reverse up where first would be (although you have to push the stick down and shift up for reverse to engage), and also remember some cars have only 4spd or 6spd gearboxes. i got the shift pattern stickers with my nismo knob, stuck the appropriate one on near the ashtray, still have a spare 6 speed sticker left over.
  14. very interesting idea. still gay tho...
  15. definately take it to an expert and get it checked out asap, no problem on turbo cars is ok to ignore. generally by finding the problem early you will save money and tears in the long run. not a good idea to go off the word of a novice on the net either, take it to someone who really knows their stuff
  16. was your clutch slipping before it was replaced? it is possibly only whistling now because the new clutch is holding and transferring the power properly rather than losing it thru slipping. this would place more load on the turbo i would think. passenger side is turbo/induction, i'm no expert but it could be a slight leak from a turbo gasket causing the whistling?
  17. damn sharky, too cheap! maybe 12k without the enkei's. let me know if you wanna seperate em. awesome rims especially against the burgandy. all the best
  18. love the old alfa's, had a 2L alfetta as one of my first cars. would have to sound pretty decent with the short exit pipe hanging out the side there
  19. didn't actually ask him, but pretty sure that the chassis wouldn't have been donated from another car. next time i see the guy i'll ask who the car was built by and try and get some more info.
  20. but gt30's don't look like the standard turbo...
  21. hey mate, there was a fair bit of discussion as to using the vg30det rear recently. they are bloody hard to find though... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...topic=78983&hl= some decent results here
  22. send it off to GCG for the hi flow, will cost around 2k and will retain the stock appearance from outside. plenty of people on here will stand by the quality of work and the performance gains that can be achieved from the gcg hi flows on r33's.
  23. i reckon it looks good, adds nicely with the brightness of the red. if you're happy thats all that matters. 2 thumbs up
  24. even if you did have the noise, how would you go about explaining why you have it on an NA car? i vote this thread for "thread title of the year", lmao
