  1. nice geoff, is that the realistic collection or the "if i win tattslotto" collection i ended up lookin up the stats of those things on the net. got the hp figure, but couldn't find any mention of the amount of torque that CAT 6 was putting out, would think that would be the most interesting thing about em. 14,000 kg would need a decent nudge to help it along i woulda thought . half the trucks were drivers under instruction, so must have been a bit of a training drill.
  2. hehe, no massive wang on the back of the GT40 unfortunately...
  3. hmmm, somethings goin down at my work place today. if it's not wannabe GT40 drivers, then it's a group of army reservists pulling up in front of my office on their day off... no sh*t, 6 massive army troop carriers just outside my front window, crazy. obviously too scared to park next to the skyline tho...
  4. lol, thanks guys, but i've gotta admit the gt40 easily pulls more than my 33. the v8 did sound pretty nice, bit cackly at low rpms but awesome when let out a bit. joked around about taking both cars out for a spin to see how i'd go...
  5. yep was farkin sweet in person. should have seen the people flock to it, within 5 mins of him pulling up there was at least 10 people walking up to take a look - mostly school kids as you can see in the pics.
  6. Don't you just hate it? A couple of pics i took out the front of work this morning. It's actually a clients car, an amazing replica GT40. So much attention to detail. Thought I'd just share this with everyone, kinda made my car look a bit like a bus in comparison
  7. not even close to pharlap IMO. but she is a mare, probably the greatest mare australia will see. she's definately up there with pharlap as far as fame / public adoration goes. had a couple of bucks on her yesterday myself , bookies woulda had a terrible day...
  8. or dark blue...
  9. lol, check out his sig....
  10. congrats mate, not a bad idea to pull it back that little bit. posted it up in this thread ( http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=55845 ) yet?
  11. look mate, you've knowingly farked this guy over and yes he may have been naive in thinkin that all people around here are honest and helpful, but get over yourself. you sold him a useless turbo, fair enough, thats between the two of you to sort out. but getting on here and rubbing it in and giving crap to GCG is not gonna impress anyone.
  12. have you found the exact point the fluid is coming out? i had some trouble with my r33 dropping coolant but only after giving it heaps, never lost any thru normal driving. it was dripping down off the bottom of the block. traced the leak back to a tiny pin sized hole in a coolant line close to the block, guess that the leak was forced due to higher temps/extra pressure in the lines. have since covered and clamped the hole (no more leaks even after hard driving), and am replacing the lines this weekend. not sure if this is relative, but may be worth checking.
  13. awake before 6am... very rarely! but still, it's not before 6am i see cars with the foggys on. people do it to be noticed, not for any real purpose. its much like having neons...
  14. headlights are for seeing in the dark, fog lights are for seeing in the fog (which australia has very little). please tell me how fog lights impress chicks?? chicks are ladies, not moths... they don't flock to the nearest bright light.
  15. i can't believe they axed SPEED, best magazine ever. haven't ever read an addition of "2dmax" but sounds pretty shite just from the title...
  16. i can't stand seeing cars with their wank lights on in the middle of a bright sunny day, or even in the middle of the night . you have headlights, unless it is amazingly foggy they are totally unnecessary. to anyone who does drive with them on - they do not make you look cool. the reason that people do it is because even though it is illegal, most police cars drive with em on too. it really shits me that a cop can pull you over in an import for no reason at all, while they are blatantly breaking the road rules themselves at the same time <_< grrr...
  17. wrong place to put this bud. there is a "group buy" area, this is gonna be moved or shut down
  18. go on, sell the mazda and buy a skyline. listen to the missus, you may not get a chance like this again
  19. yep like everyone here, i give my car the occasional squirt, i'm happy to admit that. but living in a reasonbly small town and working in jobs where i am constantly dealing with people who know me and my car, i really feel that i have to be responsible for the way i act when driving. add to that the extra hassle police will feel obliged to give if i'm seen being a larikin on the streets, and also the fact i have nothing to prove (unlike every VN commy owner with burnout rims), means i do end up driving pretty conservatively. as cef11e's story demonstrated, it can only take a split second for your life to turn to shite too.
  20. more likely he's watching the dvd he got sent to him from malaysia "playing with ryan's privates"
  21. thanks funky. maybe i should just try and find a nice maxima with hydraulics instead wasn't sure if this one was an f-package or not, so thanks for clearing that up (another couple of bucks off the price) yeah pretty sure he is involved in importing somehow, so you're probably right. lol, yeah pretty crazy that thing. had a quick chat at the show and shine
  22. "a slight increase of boost and a few more tweaks Mr. Kondou is shooting for 1,400 PS and 136 kgm" i like that
  23. we spent a weekend up in cahuna on the murray earlier this year. took up a mates ski boat and camped in a caravan park there, did a bit of fishing and skiing, in between the occasional beverage. not quite real camping, but the river and weather was awesome.
  24. yeah was basically going in to it looking at a figure more around the 12k mark if it was in great condition. it's not that far from stock other than the mild kit and susp controller. every single celsior i've seen for sale since the end of the 15 year rule (and probably during) has been massively overpriced seeing as though the majority were brought in for well under 10k. but as i said, should probably make a judgement after seeing it's condition in the flesh and what will need to be fixed.
  25. we could theorise for days but i spose we're just gonna have to make do with the pics until nissan lets out more info.
