  1. my vote would be to go for a s2 r33. spend up to 18k on a decent mainly unmodded car, and remember you will need to budget for insurance/change in ownership etc. if this is your first turbo car don't jump in the deep end and get a 32 gtr, possibly the worst thing you could do. even if the gtr is in top nick it will still require a great deal of maintenance to keep it that way. having said that, any jap import you buy will not just be a get in, drive and forget about proposition. if you want that buy a new corolla get the gtst, read a lot on here, and you will be happy with the decision.
  2. i got a dark blue one atm, had a white one previously. would have thought there were more burgandy around, they seem to be everywhere.
  3. that is proper f**cked. i don't think it's rolled but the way that the steering column has been crumpled inwards doesnt bode well for the drivers health...
  4. lol, i shoulda been here earlier - as an architectural draftsman i draw exclusively in 2d using Acad, also starting to use a bit of 3d Revit. so if ya need some floor plans drawn up for your floor sanding (overkill?), i'm the guy it just so happens that my dad actually works for boeing as a catia operator, so it's possible he knows your mate INASNT. he reckons that there has been a bit of an increase in the number of skylines in the boeing carpark of late...
  5. Congratulations mate! No apologies necessary, hope all is well. Unfortunately i'm not in the market for a Stag any more, all the best.
  6. hey mate, sounds a lot like my car cept I've got 18's. should be easy to find in melbourne, hardly any dark blue r33's goin round, especially S2. how'd you go with the police? someone attempted to steal the wheels off my last car and it was a bit upsetting how little they cared when they came round. hope it turns up unharmed
  7. has a place been decided upon for this event yet?
  8. righto, and i'm assuming that it would be the wind resistance caused by the same set of norgs which may be allowing the american pos alongside to keep up
  9. mmm, lambo... but is that some sort of wing on the front of it? an american thing maybe?
  10. lmao @ vl turbo when i was about 10-11 my dad took me to a car show and i was lucky enough to go for a little spin in an old ferrari, not exactly sure of the model. to this day i am yet to hear anything come close to the sweet sound of this thing revving out, was amazing and definately got me addicted to cars.
  11. mate, have a good read of the advice given in this thread. exhaust, i/c and new turbo does not a 200kw skyline make... and offering $2500 will not necessarily get it all up and running smoothly, i'm pretty sure they will be unimpressed by that.
  12. Instead of spending big money straight up, work out what the squeal is and it may be a simple fix. If the car is stock, there is an absolute shitload of supporting mods you will need with that turbo upgrade. Before any work is done, get them to write you out a list of their proposed work and what will be required. Also check out the RB25 turbo upgrade thread to see what others are running to support a turbo similar to what you are after.
  13. please do, i been drooling over vip celsiors for the last couple of days. seriously considering getting one for a cruiser
  14. FARK! that makes me happy in my pants... i reckon the 32 is the only skyline that the matt black paint works on, this is absolutely the toughest 32 gts i've seen.
  15. yep, that definately upsets me. i'd take a r33 gtst before that.
  16. i like this thread better - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=86889
  17. yes, you have to put it on. if you're unsure, you could probably find a definate answer by contacting the local traffic authority
  18. or- IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA DID NOT CONTRIBUTE REPLIES TO REPOSTED RUBBISH FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE REPOSTERS WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES OF ANNOYING UNRESEARCHED THREADS. THEREFORE TODAY I AM FORMALLY PROPOSING "STICK IT UP THE BEHIND OF ANYONE WHO POSTS THE SAME SHIT YOU HAVE SEEN A MILLION TIMES" DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT REPLY TO A SINGLE "DON'T GET PETROL" THREAD. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT. WAITING ON THE SAU ADMIN TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE POSTERS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE THREAD THAT POSTED THE SAME EMAIL IN THE WASTELAND TWO WEEKS AGO? THE FLAMING IS STILL GOING. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE TODAY THE DAY THAT THE NORMALLY UNDERSTANDING MEMBERS OF SAU SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" just say no people all in good fun of course...
  19. hey mate, couple of q's - where abouts are you located? did you import the car? grade & auction sheet? when was it complianced?? cheers.
  20. sweet, sounds awesome. every member should be in, no exceptions!
  21. sounds like you really only want this for bragging rights over a mate. you're gonna need more than just a big turbo if you want 300kw, check out the dyno results thread
  22. yep, as above. you can't get it out without moving the intake crossover piping. this should help - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=42819
  23. anyone know if you just pull the coilpacks straight out once the two screws are removed? seems like the pack is still attached to something underneath and i'm not game enough to put too much force into pulling it out without knowing.
  24. OK, if we're talking about actually attainable cars - Love Alfas too, so either 147 or GTI Golf daily driver with my skyline for weekends or, unattainable - big dirty pimped out AMG SL55/ V10 M5 Beamer with new Lambo for weekends
  25. you must have missed the thread at the top of this section - RB25 turbo ugrade, ALL DYNO RESULTS - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=55845
