Viper Alarm Help Wont Unlock Or Lock
thommo replied to Leigh's topic in General Automotive Discussion
hows the battery in your remote? could be your problem, i've got a viper and it goes thru batteries like you wouldn't believe. passenger side door locks automatically after driving at 20-30km/h, is this what you mean by "doesn't unlock anymore"? or are you unable to unlock the passenger side when you have stopped? -

without a doubt, do not go turbo. complete exhaust, then get fmic, then boost.

HELP - Questions about BOOST ETC
thommo replied to champion007's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
try a search for boost controllers/bleed valves, there is heaps of information out there. read up as much as you can about all methods of altering your boost levels, but my advice would be that if you don't know what you are doing, don't touch it. here is a couple of links to get you started - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...3+boost+control http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...3+boost+control http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...3+boost+control hope this helps a little -
lol, and i reckon me and toby (S15) ended up with the rest of the dirt road, poor bastard did a big wash on the silvia b4 we left in the morning. good to see a certain red rexy take full advantage of the gravel tho... awesome day, shame we had to head off early.

i don't think that offset will be right, i'd stay away unless you can test fit em and see for yourself. pretty sure offset should be around 35, the pcd is right tho (5x114.3)

Where's the best place to source new wheels?
thommo replied to JaFF's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey mate, i've recently ordered up some new 18in work rims thru japtuner, who is a sponsor on this site. should be receiving them pretty soon so will let you know how it all goes. also would recommend talking to j-plus who imports rims from japan, top bloke - http://www.j-plus.com.au/ -
can you clear up how many and how much each? also, what type of pirelli's? will pick up if they are what i'm after.

it's a lot of effort to sell then buy a new car. i would suggest get straight thru exhaust at least and see how you feel. if you don't feel any gain, and are still unhappy then get something else. personally, there is no way i would go from my R33 to the s14a. for a day to day car the skyline is soo much more comfortable, and ultimately is easy to get big power from :aroused: . it will be a totally different car once you have added fmic and boost control, trust me .

if you did happen to see this on channel ten and would like to see more, then follow this link thru to RPM's web forum and let channel 10 know - http://www.rpmlive.tv/pitboard/forums/9/ShowForum.aspx heaps of people are beginning to get on there from the silvia forum, and the more people we get the more likely it is that 10 will notice. cheers -

Hey all, Anyone else got a broken centre console latch? You know, the little button you press to open that compartment behind the hand brake that you rest your left elbow on?? I have found on both my R33's that these were broken and didn't realise how annoying it had been till I fixed them. Here's how I did it - WHAT YOU WILL NEED - All you will need is a medium sized safety pin, Phillips head screwdriver and a pair of pliers. TIME – 10 minutes. DIFFICULTY – Piss easy! I reckon I could teach a monkey to do this. STEP 1. Remove console lid by undoing the 3 screws that go down into the console. This may require a little gentle jiggling to clear the hinge springs after the screws are removed. You should have the lid as in pic console01. STEP 2. Remove hinge from lid (3 screws) and all the screws (8) holding the plastic underside of the lid in place. This will allow you to take out the latch, removing the broken bits of plastic that have been rattling round in there. Refer pic console02. STEP 3. Find a medium sized safety pin, make sure that the size of the hole part on the pin is a snug fit over the latch pivot (pic console05). Cut the head and point of the pin off, and bend with the pliers as per pics console03 & console04. STEP 4. Place pin within the latch as shown in the rest of the pics, then trim the pins top arm to be close to flush with the face of the plastic (pic console06). STEP 5. Put everything back together. You should now have a nice firm feeling, spring loaded latch. Hope this helps!
