  1. i'd also research the dealer and what they're rep is like before goin ahead too...
  2. if its to be a daily driven car, and your first turbo car, i'd def go the gtt. you will be able to get an excellent condition gtt for the price you're looking at, but only an average GTR. also, you will undoubtedly spend money on both throughout your ownership, but i'd say the GTR is more likely to sting you pretty hard. another thing to think of is insurance, get quotes and add that in your budget. good luck
  3. read the thread topic then read his first post.
  4. anyone got a link to that backyard job honda civic turbo from years ago...? could be helpful :s

  16. Update please, any eta for those who have payed?
  17. the reason you havent found anything relating to "rear/mid mounted" turbos on skylines is that its really not necessary, they were designed with a turbo in the perfect position. it may have been done before on other cars without the space in the engine bay, but that doesnt make it a good (or even viable) solution. from what i can make out, the only reason you are thinking of this is from a p plater legality point of view, but you do realise there will be big ugly pipes going to and from this secret box of yours and any half mechanically minded person who looks at your engine bay will know something's not normal. add to this the ancillaries you'll need to support this and it makes it even more obvious, you can only hide so much. its good to think and research stuff like this when you're new to turbos, but more often than not if its a great idea then it would have been done plenty of times b4. scrap the idea and save up til your off p's i reckon
  18. i get around 10-12L/100km, depending on driving style and type (city/commuting/fun) mild mods (PFC/[email protected], 200ish rwkw) gen works out about 500-550km/s per tank (mostly commuting)
  19. IS THIS EVEN STILL GOING AHEAD....?
  20. or look here - mat group buy great quality and cheap compared to most out there
  21. absolute classic.... go to the 'options' button at the top of the first post, change the layout from 'outline' to 'standard'
  22. Wheels still for sale? very interested, and in melbourne.
  23. anyone know the sizes and offsets of these factory 18" rims and how much you'd be able to pick them up for? starting to think they'd look nice powdercoated black on my black 34 if the offsets arent too bad... if anyone has some they'd like to sell, pm me edit- just searched and answered a couple of my questions lol... OEM 18's are 18x8 +30 offset all round.
  24. what are the offset on the 9" you're taking off the front? get under the car and check their current internal clearance then use the wheel offset calc to work out how much further in the 18x10 wheel's inside face should sit. this is obviously ignoring what is going on with the outer face and guard, and will really only give you a basic idea of whether it will work or not. or even better.... seeing as tho you already have the 18x10 on the rear, why wouldnt you just trial fit and see how it goes...?
