  1. I'm with just cars, I've made a couple of claims over the years and they've been great to deal with. Those prices sound good given your non existent driving history.

  4. Stick with the abs loom if you can find one. Does Attessa need the abs loom? If you have a GTS4 you may need the ABS loom for everything to work
  5. Rhemac at Gawler - Best place in SA for engine work and machining. John from their servicing department knows his RBs inside and out, as he was at JMS back in the days and has built a few..... Plus an employee built a "no expence spared" RB26 over 400 AWKW and reved to over 10K, from what I've been told.

  7. With the GTR running gear I can move the front wheels ahead of the engine by lengthening the front drive shaft allowing the motor to sit lower and with better weight distribution. The subaru and evo stuff is built into the box as far as I know.
  8. I've been told to get to the back one you can remove the starter motor and come up from under the car. The front you should be able to do with everything attached

  11. I'm hoping to keep the gtr box. I'm a CNC machinist by trade so making stuff fit shouldn't be a problem. The rotor may not be the lightest engine out there but will give me a low center of gravity as I'll tuck it down as low down as possible. I haven't looked at the shape of their sumps yet but I'll probably be making something custom anyway. I'll try and find some CAD models for the 13b somwhere.
  12. Well I think a 13b wins, either turbo or ported, there are a lot of good suggestions but a 13b is easy to come by and relatively cheap. Besides, I can always change my mind later as I'm only at the designing stage. Thanks for all the suggestions Aaron
  13. Not a fan of the east west in a GTi-R plus with the GTR running gear I can swap to rear wheel drive if I feel like it. A 13b rotor is looking like a likely contender at the moment. If I run e85 emissions shouldn't be to hard

I'm looking to design up a small roadster type thing, similar to the small kit cars you see getting around but I'm going in a bit different direction than most in that I want to use R32 GTR running gear with shortened axles and drive shafts etc. My problem is that the RB26 is just too tall for what I want to do, and to be honest it's too heavy as well. The main problem I have is size, I want something that is short in height and length so the car doesn't end up huge. Ideally a small ally NA V6 would be great, but I have no idea what's out there. I was even thinking a rotor because they are so small but I think I would prefer something with a little more torque. I'm not too fussed if it's NA or turbo but NA would be easier. I'm thinking around the 230kw mark, which should make for a quick car. What can you people think of that fits the bill? Cheers Aaron

  16. Silly question, but are all your belts still there? Not spinning on the pulleys? Could be a speed sensor issue, both the HICAS and power steer need the speed sensor to detect how fast your going. I'd be doing a search on that, maybe something's come unplugged or broken. Speedo working? If not I'd be pretty sure that that's the problem.
  17. Martin, can you tune an Emanage there at Willall? I'm thinking of going down the e85 road on my stagea. I've only got the blue one, not the Ultimate. So I'll need to keep a 98 tune on my laptop unless I upgrade. I might pop in to talk about it sometime this week. I've also got to check if my fuel lines etc are up to it Cheers Aaron
  18. Yeah, Dextron 3 (red) or Castrol transmax Z (green). It probably has dextron in there so just top it up with that

  23. Isn't an AFR of 13 more rich than an AFR of 12. I thought it was the lower you go the leaner it gets and there for the graph looks about right, starting at 13 and getting richer. Correct me if I'm wrong.
