He's looking to spend around $10k possibly a little more depending on condition. We're after something pretty stock, possibly a kit and visual mods. Not looking at more than an exhaust/suspension in the way of performance mods as this will be his first real car. I don't see any problen with people meeting up first as long as they don't delay the main cruise, makes the drive a bit more fun.

This is just an idea, i want to see if anyone is interested in this. My idea is to have a "just in case thread". The idea is that you an post up items(skyline parts) that you have sitting in your shed, laundry, kitchen etc. so that if something happens to go wrong with one of our cars at an awkward time, or maybe someone has to go over regency, we can look at borrowing a part for a short time just to get things moble again. I'm thinking things like AFMs, coils, ECUs, stock intercoolers, piping, fuel pumps.... the list goes on. Items could also be bought i guess but that's up to the individuals to determin. I'm thinking of this thread as a reference to who has what. There are a few rules that i have thought of to make it go smoothly -the thead is only to be used as a reference to who has what, wheelings and dealings are left to PMs and the individual. -only one post in the thread per person(use the edit function to update) -no chit chat -discussion kept to pm -listing in the thread does not mean you have to lend items to everyone, the individual can choose not to lend the items for any reason they wish -terms of the lending of the items is up to the individual. for example, costly items or people that you don't know may require deposit, photocopy of a licence or something??? Well, that's all i've got for now, if anyone has any ideas, comments etc feel free to post them up. If people like the idea we can ask cubes very very very nicely if he can sticky a new thread up, if no-one likes the idea we can scrap it! Thanks for reading Aaron

Just thought i'd bump this thread seeing that it's after christmas and everyone might have a better idea of what's going on in the next couple of months. Personally i'm still keen for a trip somewhere. I also had an idea..... If were going down Yorks we should organise a fishing charter for 1/2 or a full day for those that would be interested.

He he, I'm into a bit of fishing too, won't post pics cos i don't want to hijack the thread. I'm up for anywhere as i said before, my car is reliable (touches wood) I have a annual trip down yorks, good fun, great people, nice drive, good fishing and too much beer But that's real camping, not this caravan park stuff I'm up for 1 or 2 nights, but if it's for 2 nights i'll need a bit more notice due to work. I'm guessing it would be the same for others tho. If people are worried about reliability there'd be nothing stopping people from driving non Skylines. While the drive is part of the adventure, I think it's more the social side of things that comes first on this one Just my thoughts, feel free to disagree. If we do go a bit of a ways i might be a good idea to organise someone with a trailer to ferry some gear across, big esky, bbq etc. we could chip in a couple of bucks each to cover the extra fuel.

Sounds like a plan! I think Jan would be a good, everyone's busy this time of year. Manum/up the river could be another possible destination.
