  1. Yeah I still check in on that thread every now and then... it was my bible for a while there!
  2. Just a fun track car really without rules to adhere to.. guess maybe some time attack stuff next year but not sure. That display model motor at Racepace will finally get bolted in with GT-SS's, the Racepace tein RA's will go in, rest of suspension is already all adjustable. Start off with 98, then E85 to see what it can do for area under the curve, possibly a Link G4 and flex fuel sensor. Longer term I would love to do a larger capacity motor with vvt and turbos for around the 400rwkw mark but I think this setup will keep me happy for quite some time. The 34 once moving under its own power will come to live with me, and I will bring this to the factory and start putting it back together. Can't wait to get stuck into it! Been a long time coming.
  3. Wheels painted. Shell coming back to me end of this month then will get stuck into putting it all back together.
  4. Nice work looks like fun. Should hopefully see you at High Country!
  5. Mick is a champion. Cast your eye on my now white 32 shell while your down there Adam if you haven't been already - I get goosebumps thinking about it. Other panel shops might assure you this and that will be done properly but don't always come through with the goods. You know you can trust Mick will deliver on his promise and he's a good bloke to boot. Couldn't count the hours he has spent taking me through all the work he has done on my thing.
  6. Mine should be finished by then yeehaa
  7. Haha yeah I got it today - had a good chuckle!
  8. Dammit. E-Kat = now in training
  9. Team orange 1/2.... denied. (Go team Rollover)
  10. Hey brakes are long gone sorry. Velo seat is the only item still available.
  11. Another reason for me to make it up to superlap
  12. Yeah man in on an order. I went back and watched the vid. Looks like he has one in and one out? Would having the naca facing the opposite direction create a vacuum? I guess it would...
  13. Yeah if you were really serious about weight reduction but needed to be able to wind windows up / down, and stripped looms / switches etc there would be a difference. But I would say if they ever did come with manual winders it would be in base model 4 door type things so the regulators might be a bit different to the coupes - opening up a world of hurt! End of the day electric window regulators are pretty similar to manual ones, may just be a matter of finding the right winding gear from another car. Nissan may have stuck with the same basic regulator design around the era so might be possible with a visit to a nissan wrecker. But again - if serious about weight reduction and your chosen motorsport allows it then the fixed polycarbonate windows with naca / sliders would be the way to go I would think.
  14. Interested in these windows for replacement rear quarter glass with naca ducts. Would be a very tight squeeze to get naca ducts happening there but need a good way of getting fresh air circulating through the car without opening windows. Would be pretty straight forward to get going I would think if you are any good at fabrication / welding. You could use the gear off the motor to the regulator, weld the shaft / spline off another car through to the handle and hopefully where the winder motor is situated the door is flat otherwise cut and weld on something flat you can mount the hub to. What is the reason you are thinking about it? I wouldn't think the weight saving would be that great / worth it. You would probably end up needing to use parts of the motor as a mount for your gear at the regulator end. Then you also need to do it in a way that you can take it all apart if need be down the track.
  15. My rebuild is coming along. Cage, paint and most of the wiring is done, engine & gbox should be out this / next weekend and off to be screwed together in the coming weeks. FIA padding makes for a comfy elbow rest while rebuilding!
  16. Note the expert ever present angle on the open beer. Who is that guy. Drunk Paul always leaves me the hard job of dealing with clients on Monday (and sometimes Tuesday)
  17. Oh holy crap I just remembered - haha
  18. For sure I just asked Kat where I was when pork was being consumed?? Answer is on the ground under the chairs. No wonder it has taken me until this afternoon to start feeling normal again.
  19. Sorry everyone... yeah ... just ... sorry.
  20. Looking forward to testing out the radiator and oil cooler so not sure on results as yet. Electric fan is a Spal 16 curved blade item which I will be monitoring closely to make sure it is up to the task.
  21. Cheers guys - very happy with the results. Double posted the first pics - some more
  22. Time for an update... paint is done minus front and rear bars and could not get the smile off my face. Paint is VW candyweiss.
  23. Tourist not worth routing.
