  3. I just so happen to have 4 space savers sitting in my garage .. bring them Leon?
  4. Haha thanks Rhys... I swear I looked at the first post at least 3 times - time for a coffee
  5. Forgive my ignorance Reon - but where might one find said maps?
  6. You're overthinking it Blaise. Couldn't you just modify this to get the wheels off the ground as well?
  7. Only matched by mine! Fearing I might need to start messing with seat mounts and getting closer to the floor with these new requirements.
  8. I have a vague memory that the Winfield red is a porsche colour - ask Let Me Drive on this forum, he has built a Winfield replica.
  9. What is the parking situation? Is there enough space inside the venue for everyone or is there a chance of needing to park on the street?
  10. So what are the thoughts on suspension changes?
  11. Vid is up on Snowy's youtube Uneven surface, greasy road, power on causing back to step out?

  16. Ben Affleck meh. Matt Damons where it's at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWTzyU5MFgM
  17. Looking at the ind. laps on Natsoft - Kat got an actual 1:52 in the second session - not just me running around with her dorian - she is stoked for her first outing at the track!! Double entered cars on hots days = no dice. Our tyres were only good for the first full lap before they started getting mushy - but couldn't drop pressures for fear of delamination. However saying that if I had put some decent brake fluid in on Wed night the silly little car would have performed flawlessly given the conditions. Look forward to hitting Winton again on a more moderate day.. and in a Skyline!
  18. All nominations / votes sound good to me - as long as Martin concedes that he secretly loves and wants a Skyline.
  19. Hey Bec - can you please book a room with a double bed for Kat and I for both Fri and Sat night?
  20. Do they require the usual battery and tow hook stickers for these days? Also don't mention anything about fire extinguishers.
  21. Catch you guys at Wallan BP @ 6am.
  22. He was definitely moving. Had 10 seconds on all of us on our second crack at Skyline.
  23. Interesting looking at the Pagid Yellow RS29's - they maintain pretty consistent friction between 200 - 550 where they peak, but not as much as the 3000's at the same temp. Bit more of a no brainer pad I guess - suits me! Where the 3000's - if you are warming them up properly will give better friction at peak.
  24. Yeah you are right they are cracking up a bit around the edges and a few chunks out of the middle of the pad. How far did you push yours before changing them? Reckon that might be it lol. This makes sense. The 3000's peak between 500 - 600 deg but still have as much friction as the 2500's at 300, the 2500's taper off after 300. I guess a lot of the reports of high pad / rotor wear could just be to do with pad overkill with the 3000's and not getting them up to temp, or not having adequate cooling with the 2500's. Have any of you guys measured your brake temps after stages?
  25. Nah you know what. 1) I had been using the same set of Pagids since July doing two, sometimes three track days a month 2) I changed the front pads right before THC, they are were at about 30% so keeping them as spares, rotors didn't need machining 3) Pretty sure that same set did TT 2011 to a 2nd EM - previous owner could confirm, he had them on there for a reason, Blaise (1st EM) is also recommending the Pagids a few posts above - go figure 4) I have only used DS2500's on a street car, so yes you are right I don't have much experience with them, in their limited use pad wear was considerable, going from other people I have spoken it varies, some find they wear fast, others don't, and the 3000's are hard on rotors and probably not best suited to TR 5) My crash was in no way brake related, it was driver error - rubbing salt into someones wound - class act mate look forward to racing with you The pads are only one part of the equation for longevity, but they seem to play the part well from my experience. Is that enough Poole? Pleasure to meet you. Not sure why you feel the need to belittle someone you don't even know? How about you try adding something to the discussion - maybe you will teach me something with all your infinite wisdom. Good day.
