  1. - Yep -9's as above - AFM's yep Nismo - Nismo in-tank fuel pump, drops in and cranks - Don't worry about oil pump unless you are pulling the engine out and rebuilding with all oil control mods - I would go with the Tomei cam gears, or get your standard ones modified - Don't change BOV, GTR BOV's are excellent to begin with - FMIC is fine for that power level, standard piping is great - Boost controller - have a search there was a thread recently
  2. Nav'd in this car targa tas 08 - has barely been used since then. Ready to hit the road, track or just add a cage and go rallying. I would buy it if I had the space! Good luck with the sale Steve.
  3. yo we put a Are you positively annoyed friend? in your yoAre you positively annoyed friend?e so you can Are you positively annoyed friend? while you yoAre you positively annoyed friend?e hurts my head but makes me laugh
  4. Just noticed a couple of times where people have written you<space>made the u<space>mad word filter is kicking in. e.g. yoAre you positively annoyed friend?e
  5. Yes sell non-turbo auto car and buy turbo car. It is ALWAYS best to buy a car that was made turbo from the factory.
  6. Nice little read on a more modern NPP with far better failsafes. http://englishrussia.com/index.php/2011/03/27/home-of-the-peaceful-atom/
  7. Have you confirmed what the compression ratio is going to be Bobby? This is definitely going to be one engineering feat! Absolutely love it - truly top level racing inspired work.
  8. I have one I am not using for the next couple of weeks in Melb if you need it. Pretty sure it's at Racepace in Bayswater if you can drop past there and grab it. Drop me a message if you need it i'll call ahead and make sure its there.
  9. Looks pretty close! Good site for fonts http://www.dafont.com
  10. Yeah cool was thinking that might be the other reason. Won't be an issue at my power level anyway.
  11. I have grabbed some Midori 76mm dumps + 90mm Midori front pipes being the biggest I could find. Dumps are really nice, much like the older Tomei ones but a bit bigger I think, designed to mate up with the front pipes without any reduction. Only thing that surprised me is the front pipe for the rear turbo tapers down slightly after the join with the dump - see pics. Not sure if this is by design due to them actually analysing the gas flow, or to make it easier for them to merge at the collector.
  12. +1.. going to have to do a bit of trailer work over the coming weeks and that looks like a very nice solution. Do they have a winch on them?
  13. No to mention frequently drops to zero due to intermittent sender faults - doesn't make for stress free motoring.
  14. $75k - Did you tell 'im hes dreamin?
  15. Yeah I saw you mention that - figured you would be pretty much the best person for info on the subject seeing you have both the z-tune and the same car sprayed in the same paint!
  16. In my eyes it really is a step backwards in terms of styling... really wondering what on earth the designers were thinking. At least they made it go faster!
  17. Tow truck indicates organisation of some description - it's not going to turn up abandoned. Really very sad. I would love to see these people lynched makes me sick.
  18. Loving how this thread is turning out! Can't say I saw this coming from the first post... looking forward to seeing the results. Was very surprised to see the wastegate arrangement on the collector. Nice paint job - is it standard Nissan KY0? Or did you get the actual z-tune paint from Nissan. After all my research I have not been able to nail down with certainty if the z-tune was a special one-off mix of KY0, or if it is the same stuff they subsequently put on 350Z's / 350GT's / Maxima's etc.
  19. Good old bleed hole works a treat on GTR's. I had a $600 odd AVC-R that just didn't work - workshop ripped it out and replaced with a piece of alloy pipe with a hole drilled in it off the wastegate lines. Bigger the hole higher the boost. Holds 17psi perfectly (GT-SS ~14psi actuators) I do hear the newer dual solenoids are much better as Ash mentioned, but no point if it can be done for a couple of bucks. Is also tucked away out of sight, no screens and wiring harnesses to install etc.
  20. You can test the plug with a multi-meter if you have one. Should be able to set it on 12V DC with a probe on each contact and see the voltage fluctuate as the ECU pulses the injector. No fluctuation will confirm something wrong with the harness backwards.
  21. Divide total cost by 3, add your profit margin and advertise! Surely there is a market for them by now. Likely to be a few crazy's that want to bolt one into a 120Y too.
  22. Thread revival. All the metal work is complete, new quarter panel is on and ALL rust removed. They have done a spectacular job on all of it. Should be in paint in about 2 weeks time.
  23. Had a bit of a crash course moving my car around various workshops last year. No real mishaps just close calls and derppy moments. Had never towed before or been around them before. First up while the engine was still in it and not running needed to get it out to Racepace on a sat morning in a bit if a hurry. I loaded it up facing backwards as it would have been impossible to turn around. So load was all the way at the back. I knew you are not supposed to do this but what was I gonna do. Soon as I hit 80km/h on the freeway it started swinging wildly left and right almost lost it had to wrestle it back under control. Drove at 70k max rest of the way and still wasn't too happy! I knew it was a braked trailer but had paid no attention to how it actuallly worked (derp). So trying to back it up into the workshop the trailers wheels lock up and I am going what the he'll is going on. Anyway became an old hand within a day got all the tricks down now.
  24. "Rigerian"? Too far?
  25. Interesting read guys. Sad to see it happening. I guess China will eventually (and to some degree already has) shed the poor quality image as they move to fill the gap left by the Japanese. I don't however think China will ever be able to match those philosophies of uncompromising quality Japan gained after WWII.
