  1. I need to tackle this one soon as well. Obviously being a gtr track car you needed to spend a million dollars to stop it from exploding so high replacement value - what was your quote based on?
  2. Yeah electronic boost guages use a map sensor as well hence why they look the same - same thing with boost controllers (avc-r etc). You just need to hook them up off a good vacuum / boost source off the intake manifold. It would be a bit different with the rb26 having individual throttle bodies - I have only ever installed map based ecu's on single throttle body systems. You would want the vacuum / boost seen after the throttle bodies. Speak to someone who has installed d-jetro for sure!!
  3. Yep they look like map sensors to me
  4. It can be fun getting them off - lots of twisting rolling and yanking with vise grips and bull nose pliers. I also used a hammer and chisel to clean up the last remnants off the back of the hub. Look at the little bastard cowering in the background after I got all tony danza on its ass
  5. us kiwis need to stuck together ey
  6. Here here rims are smoking - nice work
  7. Do you know what sort of injector duty the 750's are getting up to with the fuel blend simon?
  8. Do you know what has been done to the engine internally? It will need to be something special if you really want to get the most out of these two turbos. 476whp is barely getting started.
  9. Yeah I was gonna say - those RX6's are monsters! No wonder your having trouble getting them to huff with two of them!
  10. I've just got the Justjap ones - no problems - cheap, welds are good, no probs with fitment, have the flexi join, pretty standard design - end of the day they are just pipes.
  11. Hehe nice - sorry just trying to work out what to paint mine - me likey - you've pretty much nailed the dark green I had in my head. What sort of max duty are the 750 injectors running at with the ethanol blend?
  12. Pretty sure Atomicbomberman has gone with an RX6 - can't remember if he went up to 2.8 though. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Bo...il-t272773.html EDIT: Sorry no he is with AX's But if your having problems making boost and response is sluggish I would definitely be looking at the wastegates. Try without the stupid EBC's - a pipe with a good old fashioned bleed hole in it - be careful not to overboost obviously.
  13. And what colour code might that be? Sorry to just blatently ignore the topic... your 20 is running sweet!
  14. Got any pics of your car? One in your avatar looks sweet
  15. I lol'd. In China they are also doing leg extensions if you prefer the missus to go through the painful stuff. I have just been through this with rails as the solution on a custom front chassis mount - have not had a chance to mount the seat yet and see if I hit my head.
  16. Yeah sorry I think I am just venting... im sure most drivers help out! Both these solutions look like a godsend compared to the cage mounted handheld I had to deal with. Dash switch is gold.
  17. I've done the hard yards Tim - I feel the pain!! That does sound like a great feature. Tim will attest that this is the same time you are marking arrival time, handing clipboards out windows, furiously running through every page of the stage notes to make sure the corners are roughed up so you dont grab two pages, making sure your intercom is on, trying to give the driver one last look at the stage layout map, making sure your trip computer is ready to go... and making sure the camera is rolling
  18. What cars are you guys taking around the ring?
  19. Its the 32gb capacity and external power that grabs me. I am not too concerned about ultra high resolution video - nice bonus though. Its such a royal pain messing around with turning cameras on and off, changing memory / tapes, conserving batteries etc - I wouldn't wish it upon any nav! They already have enough to deal with, and they don't get to drive - poor bloody navs.
  20. Not sure about the boxes - I am looking at these fused +ve terminals http://www.projecta.com.au/catalogue/cid/35/asset_id/84, then a key type kill switch for the cabin, and I need to run an external pull near the windscreen as well. Going to run an earth in the boot and one to the bay - that should have me covered. So the general consensus is: - 250A fuse on the +ve off the battery - 00AWG (2/0) guage for +ve to the bay - 4AWG earth in the boot and to the bay Can any autoleccy's confirm this sounds right?
  21. Nope the R34 GTR comes stock with a 6 speed gearbox made by Getrag - same gearbox as used in the Supra in a RWD config I believe.
  22. Cheers Tim hopefully ill never need it! Yep bracket is for mounting a trip computer - will need to build another bracket off it once I settle on a unit. May end up with a camera attached there as well. The drivers seat bracket is set up for an aftermarket rail kit meridian have supplied. Bit worried about it actually itching to get a seat in and test with my helmet on make sure I have enough room. I am 6'2 but my girlfriend will be doing some driving as well hence the rails - she is 5'4 and struggled for height driving the car with the standard seat. Worse comes to worst ill just loose the rails so only I can drive the car
