  1. Cos its harder for em to get away? ... ok this really should be in the wasteland
  2. Do they still need to go on interlock once they get their license back Graeme? Contesting a Jazz doing 140?.. even magistrates know about vtec these days.
  3. Nice you going to rebuild the turbo yourself then take it to get balanced?
  4. From memory my discussions with Brown Davis had a comprehensive cage around the 90-100kg mark. I think he was saying a Moly cage would come in at about 60kg. Have not asked Meridian - will ask Andrew when I get over there. I should hopefully be on the way to cancelling it out having removed: - Aircon - Interior, carpet sound deadening etc - Entire hicas - Audio system - Spare wheel and boot trims / carpet / jack
  5. Not a great deal of movement as yet - should be some more major work this week. Have received a few goodies in the way of seals, new quarter windows, and a Nismo 320kp/h speedo. Horrible bronze tint (no more grey tint left in jp) - hoping some 33% tinting will hide this. Some more pics of the cage without all the rest of the gear it had in it. Drivers seat mount Meridian put together Meridian also sorted the door where someone had punched out some of the metal breaking in many years ago.
  6. Was trying yesterday but I can't upload pics at the moment!
  7. Same here FF 3.6 and IE getting "You did not select a file to upload" message - various ~80k .jpg's
  8. I remember seeing the veilside r34 gtr doing top speed runs in NZ. Got to 346.2km/h - didn't look easy though http://www.veilside.com/index.php?act=products&id=22
  9. bump - $250 for the passengers seat - moving soon need this gone
  10. And here I was ready to POV 1.5.... In vic as well. Awesome.
  11. Your car has a computer that has some software loaded on it by nissan before it leaves the factory. This software decides how much fuel to inject, and when to fire the spark plugs based on how much air it sees going in to the engine. If you start to increase the amount of air going in to the engine (i.e. by modifying it), the nissan software will not handle this efficiently. It will think there is a problem with the engine, and go into a safe mode - slowing the engine down. You can install Nistune hardware into your computer, and that allows a tuner to easily change the software on it that tells it how much fuel to inject, and when to fire the sparkplugs - so the engine runs optimally based the greater amount of air now entering the engine.
  12. Black!
  13. Yeah Jack don't be modest - I first layed eyes on your car the other day researching those aerocatches - it's spot on. I had already picked a similar colour scheme (merc iridium silver - might be a little brighter / lighter) but was still deliberating. After seeing your car - and those photos above especially - it's crushed any doubts I might have been having about silver and black. Starting to think I like your paint better though dammit - might end up with a 32 version of yours - man I hate picking paint!
  14. Passenger seat and floor mats still available. Will have some more interior bits up soon.
  15. It really isn't! I might actually look at something as a bit of a project when I tackle this soon - I have access to a couple of said 80s electronics gurus. I was so unimpressed with this gear for the price, and the rally computers too. I saw a market that Stilo and other manufacturers have since really moved to fill. Theory dictates if we can attach a $79 head unit and some crappy speakers to a 12v car system without major interference, adding a couple of microphones shouldnt be a problem.
  16. Pretty much all this stuff is so overpriced for the actual electronics behind it - treading carefully here with forum rules etc One of those 80s electronics gurus with some square frame glasses and a red wooley jumper could build you something infinitely better out of the jaycar catalogue for a 10th of the price. Good to see companies like stilo stepping in and at least supplying a good quality tested product for the money you fork out.
  17. Right - so what happened?
  18. Would love to but my car is still in pieces.
  19. You can also have "tightens then opens". So it might be "9 left tightens then opens", some of which you can take at a 9 pace say with a wider road that you can hit the apex and use the road on the other side, but others you need to be more cautious about. Have found this out the hard way
  20. Yeah I think if you know what you are doing they come out ok. I had my drivers side quarter smashed twice in 6 months - once by drunken idiots (heard them throw the bottle and run from inside - alarm went off), again when someone was trying to break in. Both times it was a biatch to get hold replacements, could not get them from wreckers - ended up getting them both through classifieds here. Moral of the story - drive a shitbox that nobody looks twice at, keep the skyline in a garage!
  21. That airbox is going to be sweeet.
  22. No longer need them, so have the following for sale. Located in Tarneit, south west Melbourne. 1 x R32 GTR drivers seat I have noticed a small tear in the usual wear spot as shown, otherwise in very good nic $250 1 x R32 GTR passenger seat Excellent condition, maybe a steam clean and it will look like new. $350 Set of original R32 GTR floor mats Drivers side worn in usual spot, rest are in great condition $175
  23. Damn! They are really hard to get from wreckers because everybody breaks them getting them out. I do still have my grey ones as backups but the seals are pretty scabby these days. Ill see how they are when they get here, maybe ill just need to get high all the time...
