  1. Have a guy coming to buy my car on saturday, but he is paying by NRMA car loans corporate cheque. Has anyone accepted one of these as payment before? Is it true that they can't be cancelled? I assume this is BS but what steps should I take to protect myself? I am hoping I can call NRMA car loans and validate the cheque etc before handing over anything.
  2. Looks like its sold! Pending payment Saturday.
  3. It's still an rb20.... not much prestige attached to it, a Gibson 26 on the other hand would definitely attract more interest for collectors
  4. PRICE DROPPED AGAIN!! Have a house auction coming up and need it gone. $23,500 including RWC, $23,000 without RWC (last RWC done in Jan, nothings changed wont be an issue) The car is in beautiful condition, full service history from japan, and since its been here with us the only owners in Aus, genuine kms, unmodified.
  5. Yeah still looking around - looking at a dual cab turbo diesel 4x4's Hilux, Rodeo etc Why - what have you got?
  6. Any word on these monsters fatz?
  7. Still for sale guys... great car for a great price.
  8. Looking at properties in the northern suburbs around preston
  9. Have used a couple of mobs before, and while they were good I wasn't 100% happy with the service / depth of the report and effort put in to ensure it covered everything, particularly for the price they charge. Can anyone recommend a comprehensive service they have used when purchasing property? How was it good / better than others?
  10. I still call battery - have had your exact symptoms many times. If not - do you have an immobiliser? Maybe it is not disarming for some reason?
  11. Haha yes its screwed - has been run flat more times than the tires on my gf's mirage. Turbo timer means I never hear the "you left the lights on retard" warning until its too late, and somehow the fog light switch on the top of the dash gets bumped on every now and then... must be while I am fondling the dash after the car has done something good - which is often.
  12. Haha pure gold... How do you go with Tires / and what do you run? I take it they will be pretty pricey, and being of a nobby nature will wear out on the tarmac at a reasonable rate.
  13. I think you might be right... between the Navara, the Hilux and the odd Mitsa there are so many different models its doing my head in! Cheers for the insight 75coupe. Good log book is going to be a must as I am looking towards higher Km examples. I also hear the odd story of bent chassis with the dual cabs but I suspect this is not isolated to the Navara with the way the tray sits past the back wheels. I won't be looking to carry heavy loads in the back, will be more for towing the GTR and the womans bloody horse floats so shouldn't be a problem. The fuel economy sounds great - will be keeping it stock for sure save maybe a snorkel, and a winch would be handy.
  14. Seeing I can't edit my post ill just have to look like an idiot seems there is only a 3lt TD model with a number of inherent issues, not sure where I got 3.2 from. I always go by the old adage that you only hear the bad stories, so has anyone owned one of these and what was your experience?
  15. Battery is dead - jump it. I bought one of those rechargeable battery packs from Supercheap or whatever as my Skyline will go dead in about a week. Use the normal jumping rules - +ve goes to battery +ve, -ve goes to a part on the engine (I usually connect to that alloy bar above the intake manifold). Disconnect the negative terminal if you are not driving the car for extended periods and the battery will stay charged.
  16. I am looking at buying one of these as my daily and wondering if anyone has had any experience with them they can share? Around that price range they are about spot on for what I want, the 3.2 turbo diesel looks to be the same 4 cyl out of the patrol which can't be bad - and doesn't break my tradition of never owning a normally aspirated vehicle, 4x4, 4 door for practicality, and the tray for moving shizzle around. Something like this but without the rack http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...el&trecs=31
  17. Which model GTR? I remember hearing the Australian Gibson racing team used to reprogram the map in the R32 attessa computer.
  18. One of our cats insists on marking his territory on our bath mat for some f%$@ed up reason - we just discovered this stuff called Urine Off which actually destroys the cats piss, kills the smell which normal washing doesnt. We spray it and wash it as well, but it actually works really well without a wash, so you could first make sure it wont wreck your paint, then spray it down into where your vents get their air from.
  19. PRICE DROPPED $24,500 including RWC, $24,000 without RWC (last RWC done in Jan, nothings changed wont be an issue)
  20. Cheers.. the car is in awesome nic - sad to have to sell it. Perfect practical daily four door rocketship!
  21. Get the Evo,, but forget the 8 or 9, just a waste of dollars really when a 7 pretty much does the same thing..............
  22. Heading for more property, plus I actually needed a kick around stationwagon/towcar when I bought this but couldn't resist! Always wanted one. Have my 32 almost dedicated race/tarmac rally car in the garage (hence the need for a towcar), and because I work from home this thing barely moves so it's up for sale. Car is in awesome nic, barely a mark on the body and no accident history - we are the first owners in Australia, the guy I bought it off brought in 3 of them so I chose the best. Look after it with the all the best products and have the full japanese service history. Techsport serviced it when we first got it back in Jan, with a new battery. I have done a few oil changes in between and Chasers recently did a service on it including gearbox oil, and added a HID conversion kit while replacing one of the front bulbs. Oil and filter was changed again a week or so ago, using Motul 8100 which it loves. We have only done ~15,000 kms in it since Jan. Car is stock standard and runs like a dream. Never taken to the track. Please see carsales ad at: http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva....aspx?R=8005210 $26,000 including RWC See carsales ad for contact details.
  23. I didnt mean from a security perspective - I meant your car will look like shite after two years sitting in the aussie sun without a garage. I know only too well how easily GTR windows are broken by thieves and louts...
  24. fatz I am in - you have a pm
