  1. My love for marine life became a reality 3 years ago when my neighbour help me to set up a nano tank with just live rocks and two fish. A year on and learning as much as possible I then upgraded to a huge 4ft tank with beautiful colourful corals and invertebrates. Coming from a such a small tank it was a huge step forward but well worth it. A lot of ups and downs on the way, but the tank is finally maturing successfully and is well established and stable. Would like to thank my neighbour once again for helping me with this tank. Both of us spent over a week building the stand and doing all the plumbing work. Couldn't have done it without you mate!!! The pictures below show the progress of the tank over the two years. Week one: Few months later: A year later: Currently how it looks.. tho the pic was taken end of last year so a few minor changes: Lots more pics here: http://sidd-rishi.com.au/blog/misc/my-marine-tank-turns-2/

  8. Taken in the pitch black in the rain It was good to test out such high iso's.. oh and too see if the 5dm2 will survive in the rain lol. Thank god it did coz it was pretty wet!! ISO 3200 i think. No PP or noise reduction. ISO 6400, f2.8, 1/100th in the rain, hand held. That street light in the back was the only light I could see. Looks close in the pic but it was pretty far away. No PP. just as is image from camera.

  17. meet up end of march??
  18. Kory shoots with a 7d. Might be best to ask him since he does motorsport as well.
  19. Should have saved up a bit more and just bought your 5dm2.. oh wells.. will sell the 7d as soon as the 5dm3 comes out. Btw still havnt used your flash lol.. still sitting there in box
  20. To be honest I haven't taken many shots with the 7d. Bought it as a backup body and will use my 5dm2 90% of the time. Ideally I wanted another full frame so both bodies are identical etc. But to answer your question the 7d will be more suited for you esp for motorsport photography. Better fps, better focus systems/points and most importantly for you its a crop body so you get more reach. As soon as the 5dm3 comes out I will be selling the 7d. Feel like selling it now as I dont like holding it even with a grip. The whole body seems heavier than 5dm2. Not sure if its just me or if it really is heavier in specs. For now will just use it as backup camera. But what I have read on paper the 5dm2 is much better at higher ISO's.. I say go for it, or wait till I sell mine when the 5dm3 comes out lol..
  21. No doubt they are the best out there. Just that I have been so busy lately and havnt even used it or tested it Hopefully this week i can. On other news im not liking the 7d in regards to holding it and how its moulded. Feels weird compared to my 5dm2 and my hand gets more tired.. Sounds funny but I like the 5dm2 instead lol.. Should have just got another 5dm2.. sigh
