1. dude hope you holding on to something when you got your legs over the edge lol. Nice shots man Nice lighting dan!! cool shot. Flat out lately. Going to have no life till end of December. Anyone want to come assist me on some shoots (specially my pre-wedding shoots as I need someone to hold my lights etc). Some randoms.. From a e-shoot: Two light setup. Einstein in BD (gelled to match sunset), and 430exii as rim light (not gelled). Hmm time to upgrade to 600exii and use its gel holder feature lol One light setup. Einstein in BD boomed way up high. Slow shutter speed to bring in more ambient light. Very quick shot of the couple before reception started. Up in Newcastle. Sun as rim light. Here you go another natural light shot. Something different from me: Purchased a macro lens. so just testing it out on my corals: Plenty more pics.. But that will do for now. Actually one more.. An amazing belly dancer at last nights event. Cropped head and the other lady off to the right (cant show faces just yet). But half way thru the act she was balancing a sword on her belly and head. Two light setup again.
  2. Agree good idea matt. I have always helped others whether its on this forum or another. If someone asks anything about my photos or business in general I always help out.
Matt - First pic of the s15 with selective colouring is awesome. I hate selective colouring but that shot just works.
Kory - To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of the first two shots you posted. The tilted wide shot and the model on the car. The tilted shot I would have had the 32 gtr in the middle and straighter. Perhaps you had an obstruction on your camera left so you couldn't move (im not sure)... Direct flash on the models face is not that faltering either. Once again perhaps you weren't allowed to setup an external light on a light stand etc.. Or didnt have a helper around. A suggestion would have been to dail down the flash and use it as slight fill only. Judging by the shadows it looks like the flash was pointed straight up. Next time point the flash hard right or left. High ceiling so no point trying to bounce the flash. Or perhaps I read the whole picture wrongly. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise your detail shots are great. Photographed a huge Indian wedding in London two weeks ago. Incredible experience!!! Just a henna pic. One of my corals sticking out of the water. Just a close up shot with a 24-70L. Ordered a macro lens so cant wait for that to arrive. But to be honest the 24-70L is still great for close up shots.

From a pre-wedding shoot last week:

From a first dance: p>
3. I'm back Wish I was still over there. What I meant was the actual equipment and having quality gear. Trust me I have been to so many weddings and none of them have that sort of gear. Nice pic of the s15 btw
  4. ^indeed nice seascapes man.. E-shoot before I flew to london: Rest on my blog if you keen. Gotta start editing my London wedding gig.. Took so many pics there Can I just say that London DJ's are so much better than here. Their setups are so much more elaborate AND BETTER!!!!!!! When I come home from a wedding here my ears are ringing from the shitty speakers. Over there the wedding had three different Dj's over the days and all three of them had awesome setups which took more than an hour atleast to setup. They all had atleast 4 people in the crew. Not at any stage did my ears ring or did I go deaf. Quality speakers thats for sure!! I actually asked one of them how much their whole setup costs and he said he has invested 60,000 pounds!!!! Thats right 60,000 pounds. Anyways I will try and get some pics up from the london gig
  5. Jay - You always seem to impress me with how creative you get. Keep it up!!

  10. Matt - that r34 pic looks awesome. So what new stuff did you try?? Nelson - like that 2nd shot. Nicely done. Very busy weekend. Random teaser pic from yesterdays wedding - Location shots at night time: Don't always assume you will get 1-2 hours worth of sun light!! BTS shot from today's shoot. My ghetto setup and first time using melamine MDF!!!! Random pic by just closing my eyes and scrolling my wheel up and down.... All I need now is to purchase three more strobes, so I can easily blow out the background. Was just using 430exii and 580exii.. oh well always a next time.
  11. Teaser pic from my last model shoot: Cant wait to edit these pics:

  15. What a great start to the month. Wonderful vivid shots matt. Jay - Brilliant shot there of jesus. Light painting right? Nelson - Love the moon shots. Great detail and exposure. Well done. Richard - +1 to terry's comment. Been seeing your wedding/portrait stuff lately and you have improved heaps. Keep it up!! callan - I think its a great effort. I gotta try this light painting stuff one day.. Dan - Lovely portrait there!!! Keen to see more. Just watch the light bleeding from the flash you used to light up the background. Two randoms from yesterday: So cute!!!! Lighting : 580exii and 430exii. Bare bulb, but still managed to get beautiful soft even light Another two light setup: 580exii and 430exii. Plus window light on camera right. Unedited pic: Might clone out those lines on the background hmmmm....

Nice image there colin. Keep posting more. Fongy - EPIC MATE!!! awesome pics. I think one of my best Indian bridal work yet: I really wanted to create something elegant with images framed nicely which tell a story and make amazing album spreads. I stopped shooting heaps of pics and concentrated on showing a story. Not going to flood this thread up.. Some samples. But rest on my blog. Rest here if you keen: http://sidd-rishi.com.au/blog/2/zahra-and-saads-wedding-part-2-wedding-ceremony-at-serbian-centre-canberra/

My dream one day is to own a studio. Dont use my garage anymore. Doesn't look too professional and the height isn't much either.
