  1. ^ nice matt!!! i dig that.. Do you like the light/reflection on the windscreen?
  2. Thats true, everyone asks that they want a lens but never mention what for. Nick i have used that tamron lens before when i had a crop body and loved it. Great for indoors!!
  3. ah yes forgot you got a crop body... so use to full frame now. eitherway 50mm will be fine on yours too.
  4. 50 f1.4 will be a great lens.. I use it all the time esp for studio shoots. Its sharp, compact and focuses quickly. eg) http://sidd-rishi.com.au/images/2010091321...3890_resize.jpg Maybe a tamron 17-55 f2.8 for low light stuff. hmmm
  5. Check this out: http://www.metaefficient.com/rechargeable-...y-chargers.html
  6. So i was reading some comments on the powerex batteries and everyone loves it and it lasts a long time etc etc etc.. But the interesting fact i read from a few people is that recycle time is not as quick as the eneeloops.. Which is what i need for wedding work.. So gonna stick with eneloops for now. hmmm
  7. Good to see your using the camera for whats its meant to be used for. love that tilt shift pic.. Keep it up jay!!
  8. Love that shot kory!!! the purple really stands out!! Would love for you to do one on mine
  9. That would seriously scare the crap out of me.. no way would I be near it, even if its not poisonous.
  10. another behind the scene shot:
  11. You in US now?? yea i agree i like that first shot as well of the girl.
  12. matt - Um I like what you have done with the first pic. I wouldnt change anything. Maybe just smoothen or clone a little under her eyes? But i need to see a higher res pic of it to confirm.. Apart from that the first pic is great. Her skin is already great so just leave it natural. Im not too sure about that 2nd shot..Lighting seems great, but just her expression and her pose.. hmmm Done any more photos? I still havnt had the chance.. been so busy lately Will try some late tonight or tomorrow. Any pics of the evo or my chaser? Next meet up in December?? Maybe first week? since everyone will be busy towards christmas.. plus its only a seascape so no real need for planning. As long as weather stays good.
  13. hahah nope she doesnt!! basti - your making me hungry!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edit: Just noticed that there is a shadow around the berries.. Can you see it?
  14. Oh and i so want a c-stand!!! Its well worth the investment i reckon.. esp if you got a small studio.
  15. I guess if you had the money then why not hahahah.. But even profoto is expensive. The para by them is 10k also!! Anyways lets try and set up a studio first and be as famous as scott kelby or chase etc etc.. lol.. before we think of what to buy ahhaha
  16. I used the broncolor powerpacks and lights and puts my strobes to shame. But anyways for a amateur there is no need to be investing in that gear. If i ever setup a studio one day i will buy the elinchrom.. but im sure if you get big $$$$ for comerical stuff no doubt you will invest in some heafty gear. Pretty sure from memory the studio had these:http://www.bron.ch/bc_pd_ps_en/detail.php?nr=15071
  17. Check out the video: http://vimeo.com/9534488
  18. Its a Broncolor Para and no doubt it will be close to 10k mark. Ever seen it been used by pros??? Trust me the light is insane!!!!
  19. ^ really like the processing gone behind it. Nice work dude Curious to see how the pics of my car turned out. Finally saw one in real life!! ITS HUGE!! and this was only the smaller version. Wish i could afford one lol.

  24. Photographed a tamil wedding last night. The ceremony was totally different and I have never witnessed such traditions. This is why I love these types of weddings. Nothing is ever the same and there is seriously so much happening that if you just relax for a slight second you will miss a key shot. I was only the 2nd shooter for Jay (photos by jay). Also the bride arrived on a palkhi which I have never seen before. I always see the groom arrive on a horse, but this was totally different. Just imagine all those years ago when we still had kings and queens...I remember visiting a fortress years ago in rajasthan and they had a few gold palkhis!!! As in pure gold!! They even had silver ones in there. The one below is probably just wood. Here is just a quick shot (no processing) of her arriving on the palkhi: She seriously looked so stunning!!! Love her eye lashes too. From another wedding I shot last week: The guy getting ready on the horse. I seriously need to start processing these wedding photos properly and put it on my blog.. falling behind Biggest eyes I have ever seen!! So big, bold and beautiful. Love it!!
