Well its not a model shoot so having him there is perfectly fine. Its his car im assuming so exactly where he is just perfect. Now take that next step and perhaps even ask him to dress up a bit. Corporate the two into one shot perhaps? But offcourse this all depends if he keen. Maybe something like this which I did many years ago: ^ not saying that is perfect in anyway.. Just giving you an idea and perhaps something you can market? Wish I had his hand in another position and fixed up his pants at the bottom. But this was such a long time ago. Cant believe I did those borders!!! What was I thinking lol.. Otherwise lighting is fine on the person More like I need tips from you for shooting cars. A friend of mine asked me to take pics of his new car soon. So need all the tips possible to balance flash on cars Something I have not done since the shot above. But looking forward to photographing a car again.

To me its black and white photos. I can stare at it all day long. But everyone has a different style and if clients like the 80s style then you should cater to them and market them. There are thousands of wedding photographers but if you can cater yourself to a particular market/target then you will be set. But keep at it and dont let our comments keep you away from making a style. For me I like to see vibrant modern pictures so my opinion might not be suited. Its good your giving the client two choices. But in the end its double processing. Once you become a full-time wedding photographer you will realise how available your time is. Anyways enough rambling.. Your website is coming along nicely Maybe the menus at the top could be changed a little? Messy hair is messy:

Richie - Personally not a fan of making an image looks like from the 80s. My style is more modern vibrant pics. So maybe thats why I cant see it working. I do like the PP you did to your wife. Just in the past 2 or 3 days I have been doing more black and whites. Well just mucking around in PP. Nice shot there fongy. Are those fake lights put in PP on top of the image? Eitherway nice lighting on the car. Peter - the only way to learn is to keep taking photos Keep at it mate. patty - hahah im sure you know the answer to your question lol.

Jay the two shots you posted look incredible. The first shot of the graffiti is wow. Im assuming the edges were light painted right?
  6. Good to see your still taking photos mate. Nice work
  7. Some pics of my fish tank taken today:
  8. Jay - Thanks for the feedback mate. With the 2nd pic you quoted, I dont mind the shadows behind them. Its nothing really that harsh. Perhaps if they were right against the wall then yup I will hate it. But now that im looking at it again you could be right lol (damn you hahahaha). No diffussion. Just bare 1/2 power on the speedlite. Was pretty dark in there. I wonder even if I had the speedlite in the softbox it would have created that shadow. Kory - Yea its keeping me busy. We gotta catch up soon. Seems like you have disappeared lately. Matt - Loving that first skyline pic. Incredible location as well. Nice balance of light with the strobe Keep it up. Oh and I still gotta give you your vegabond. Richie - oohhh going to the dark side eh. Which series BMW? Patty - Well the video light which is a flood light causes yellow skin tones which look horrible. Sometimes it can be handy as fill light, but I just hate the yellow skin tones. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it just doesn't. The shot of the couple was taken at la perouse. If you live in sydney go check it out Nice spot for a picnic and to just chill out and watch the sunset. It all starts when the groom has the remove the shoes during the ceremony. Bride’s family makes wacky plans to steal the shoe and hide it. On the other hand the groom’s family tries to protect the shoe. Usually the bridesmaids successfully steal the shoes as it is a matter of their pride and honor. Once the ceremony is over and the groom needs his shoes back he and his family start searching for it. The bridesmaids surround him and ask for a huge sum of money which the groom pays them and gets his shoes back. Basically its just a fun little thing you do. Indian weddings are never boring
  9. ^ looks like light painting to me. That is long exposure and painting the light onto the car.
  10. Love that opera house shot matt. So clean and simple. Love it Been an extremely busy month and haven't posted anything lately. Photographed 5 weddings in the past 3 weeks!!! Just some randoms and teasers from the days: One of the biggest challenges I have found with weddings is turning a boring location into something usable. Basically just weeds and grass growing in this park but still looks nice. Do you usual tight close up smiley/lovey shots.. but then the bigger landscape shots.. what do you do? Just find an interesting angle that you wouldn't normally think off. So I got this shot below.. Makes weeds looks sexy lol Sometimes just taking a simple pic in the middle of the photo can be effective: Love taking Mehendi shots: Sometimes you gonna come across videographers who use flood lights. Nothing you can do about it: Biggest example was when I shot a wedding in India: http://sidd-rishi.com.au/blog/2/overseas/highlights-from-my-cousins-wedding/ Tho I do find that sometimes it can help, but just hate the colour cast you get. If you dont get in there you will miss out on lots of key shots. Basically the brides side of the family demanding money for his shoes. Gets pretty funny Oh and check out the video guy in the back nearly falling over lol. Another example: South indian weddings.. Always filled with colour!! I love cute little babies!!! Did an e-session at la perouse.. Cant wait for their wedding in Fiji in couple of weeks Rest here: http://sidd-rishi.com.au/blog/2/tamara-graemes-e-session/ oh and cant forget my cousins wedding I photographed two weeks ago: One from a pre-wedding event: Indians love to party it up before the big day
  11. Great start to the month. Loving the pics

  13. Fongy - awesome pics mate. Love the processing as well. Jay - that pano is just WOW!!! incredible. DUDE seriously print this please and hang it up!! A random from Saturdays wedding. Haven't gone thru all the pics but posted this teaser one up for them Sunday morning before my early start to another full wedding day: I did a few proper silhouettes for them, but I like this lighter version as it shows off the dress nicely. Random from yesterdays wedding Love Indian weddings.. Always filled with colour, lots of dancing, different rituals etc. So many on lookers not knowing what the hell was going on lol.
  14. I personally dont think his watermark is that bad across the image. Does distract the image but its not that bad. For anyone saving images on web make sure you save it at 72dpi. Images get stolen all the time. A good friend of mine had his entire blog posts stolen and several galleries worth of images. He even went as far as taking the watermark out and putting his own on and even describing the wedding day on his own blog. Low life scum. Check out my thread here on this: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1141223
  15. Thanks guys.. Its where the brides side steals the shoes and then at the end of the ceremony demands money from the groom. Its quite funny to watch and photograph at the same time. I should do a series of all the different shots I have taken from just that scene. Anyways..
  16. I specalise in both, Indian weddings and Western weddings Would love to photograph your wedding mate hahahahah.. Thanks for the kind words man.

  23. Actually I didnt plan this at all. This is them walking to the ceremony before the bride got there. I just arrived at the place earlier than anyone else. Wish he was in the middle though. But I do understand what your saying. Thanks for the kind words man. I like photographing different weddings. Awesome sunset outside my house about 5mins ago:
