Hi guys, need advice, I can get a series 2 rb25det apexi power fc at a reasonable price, I have already converted my rb26 dett to a single turbo setup,when I look at the pinouts of the rb25det and rb26dett, they are fairly similar,my issue is the rb26 uses pin 106 for fuel pump control module and pin 6 for electrical fan switch; rb26 has two fuel pump control modules whereas rb25 had one.how do I go about this any further? Rb25 doesn't use electrical fan relay switch.

Nistune, but currently the ecu is stock, the cam cover breather pipes are open to atmosphere, I tried blocking the breather but no difference, it is still idling poorly. So to answer your question, the cam cover pipe is not connected to post Afm's. -

We recently installed single turbo setup with twin mafs and external wastegate on RB26, the car now does not idle when cold, does improve when engine warms up, It doesnot have a problem during acceleration though. The aac valve when adjusted does affect the idle hence it does work.Not sure if there is a vac leak somewhere.Any ideas what could be the problem? -
After taking the turbos apart, a magnet doesnot stick to the exhaust wheels, so i guess it is stock r33 turbos with ceramic exhaust wheels, turbos look in gr8 condition, however this car was very laggy, on 5th gear full boost only at 4000rpm. In first i get full boost after 5k rpm. timing is on the spot car is very smooth, doesnot have any boost leaks. I am going to a gt35 single turbo with twin mafs and stock ecu to start off with, until i can save up to go full engine management. RB26 supposed to be very responsive but i can't handle the lag currently.

Hi, am deciding to go single gt35 bb turbo on RB26DETT, what options, do i have with regards to tuning, do i keep twin mafs and use a piggy back computer, or do i go stand alone ecu, but were should the map sensor be installed taking note of the individual throttles, any pics of were map sensor should be installed will be greatfull.

sorry it's 14411-24u04 and the exhaust has steel wheels. Are they supposed to be laggy?

Hi guys, I pulled out my turbos as the car was laggy, the compressor A/R is 0.42 and exhaust A/R is 0.48. They have exhaust wheels and the serial is 1411-24u04. What turbo is this and is it laggy?

A tuner wants to install a single large throttle body on my RB26 and remove the mafs for ease of tuning using spitronics engine management. I currently have 6 ITBs on the RB26. He is upgrading the turbos to steel wheels and promises me 350-400kw at flywheel after his complete, will my response be compromised by going with single throttle body? Is this modification recommended?

A tuner wants to install a spitronics ecu, he suggested to install a single large throttle body on MY RB26DETT which currently has 6 ITBs, he also will do away with the MAFs,He is going to upgrade my turbos with steel shafts, he promised me between 350-400kw after he his complete. Will my throttle response be affected by going single Throttle body? Is this recommended?

Not sure if this is related to my lag problem , recently overnight I lost clutch peddle to the floor after pressing it, checked the clutch fluid reservoir and it was almost empty, I topped it up, afterwards I am noticing my clutch peddle is extremely hard to press but the clutch fluid is still full in the reservoir?

The one way valve at the brake booster is working fine. I am getting about 0.4 bar boost at 3000 in 3rd gear. Also vacuum at idle is almost -0.6bar. When the car is in neutral if I rev it, I get about 0.5 bar at 6000rpm. Is this normal for a stock GTR? The factory boost restrictor is removed, also exhaust is decat.As a test I disconnected the pipe with restrictor removed at the boost solenoid. hence no boost source to actuators. The car was still laggy but boost exceeded 1 bar for a split second. I didnot want to overboost and loose a ceramic wheel so immediately stopped.

Tried to read the tag but it's almost impossible. I managed to view the compressor and turbine housing respectively, and compressor is A/R 0.42, whilst turbine housing is .48, this mean they stock ceramics? I also opened the cam cover and verified the pulleys lined up ,and they do, at TDC both pulleys line-up with plate marks. I'm now stumped, i need to check if there is a boost leak.

I am from RSA, I paid R120 000. I am thinking the car has R33 N1s, 14411-24u10. Does anyone have expierience with these turbos?

Stock ECU, I will try to have a look at the serial number on turbo and give you guys feedback but the turbos are hidden very difficult to view.

Thanks, I have checked timing with a timing light and its on the spot. Also have apexi intakes. The car came with the Jasma 051 exhaust apparently it's a HKS exhaust in Japan, the cat was removed. It still has the resonator and muffler only, does anyone know if this exhaust is restricting my boost coming on earlier? The car feels crisp off boost and once on full boost it is very strong. It's just the lag which is a concern. The turbos are stock garretts.

Hi guys, I recently acquired a R32 GTR from Japan. The car is great. Just one issue, it is very laggy, on 1st gear i get max boost at about 5000 rpm, in 5th gear on the highway full boost is only at 4000rpm. Timing seems fine ,CAS is at center position. I cannot see the turbos clearly but the they look standard. Apparently the engine was rebuilt in Japan. Any ideas what can cause this lag? It has a jasma exhaust and decat.
