  1. Checked coilpacks and they looked good, Plugs not so good I think the pump running at 100% is causing it to overfuel or something else is the issue. I had a pod on it while I lent my airbox to a friend to cover a defect. That could also be the issue but I've had a pod on it before and never had this issue. I've changed the plugs for now but I'm guessing I'm going to have the same problem again. I will have JEM change the plugs to a higher temp when they tune it and hopefully can fix the rich condition.
  2. Definitely worth a go - Kudos have them for cheap as and my mate also has a 33 GTST so I could even borrow his - Thanks! I'll check plugs and coilpacks this week too
  3. Yep - The alignment shop wasn't very impressed nor was I when it came to paying the bill. He said "The price difference between the two is good but when the arms have to come off this many times you start to pay a lot more for labour so it works out the same anyway"
  4. I used these two for an RB25, cant be much different http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/421055-timing-belt-and-water-pump-replacement/ http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/397602-how-to-replace-a-timing-belt-202526-pics/
  5. Kudos also sells the plugs BTW! They can normally order whatever you want
  6. Took the car out for about 10 minutes today and adjusted the master length. Clutch feels MINT! Very happy with the outcome. The slave seems to be leaking a bit from the new braided line so I'll put some liquid thread seal on it and close it up over the next day or so. I found that the car only runs poorly when it's up to operating temperature - Does anyone know what it could be? I was thinking about changing the plugs to new ones and just letting JEM deal with it as they are going to do a few bits of work and do a tune anyway so they will work it out then also. That's it for this week I think - I'll do the turbo on the weekend or just give it a well deserved wash.
  7. WTS R33 Lightweight flywheel - Located SYDNEY/Blacktown I recently changed my clutch in my R33 and didn't realise it already had a lighweight flywheel. I have all the receipts from when I bought the car and there is no mention of the flywheel. Chasing $300 but will take anything over $200 for SAU Members. There is no gouging, surface is even and no scoring on the surface. It will need a machine though. Message me through SAU or respond to this thread please.
  8. Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words. I probably would pay someone to do it next time but getting the car there is a struggle at the moment. Battery keeps dying I'm assuming the cells are going bad in it from not running etc for a while now. I'll chuck it on charge soon and when it goes for a tune get another battery also.
  9. I went ATR45SAT from Stao - Supposed to perform well on restrictive systems. I ended up buying a different actuator though so I can get it down to lower boost pressures. The actuator that comes on it is a 20PSI one and I doubt the stock motor would be very happy with that.
  10. Was going to do a DIY but I didn't take that many pictures because I was too grumpy. I would not do this without a hoist again, If the box was to come off again I would rent a hoist or do it at a mates shop. It's quite hard for me to get the car around until December so I had to go with doing it at home. Got everything back on today and a friend gave me a Wideband to go in the car also which I'll get a bung welded in for when it goes to JEM next month. A run-down of everything that happened I broke a spigot bush getting it in like an impatient idiot - So I grabbed my spare, greased it up, chopped up a spare alignment tool and pressed it in. Getting the gearbox itself back on took roughly 45 minutes of struggling with a trolley jack and my brothers help. A note on the torque of the flywheel bolts is by using a flat bit of steel with two holes 4cm apart on the pressure plate bolt and the bell housing bolt and torquing it up using that to hold it. The pressure plate bolts were done by holding it still with our hands. Torque specs are here for those interested. Balancer Bolt - 142-152 Flywheel Bolt - 124-152nm Clutch Bolt - 34-44nm I did the flywheel to 145nm and the Pressure plate to 38ftlb (yes I know different measurements). If anyone else wants to do this at home send me a PM and I can help out by answering any questions.
  11. Yerrrp, my friend just bought a 33 today and also needs the mat - He missed out too lol
  12. Borrowed a blokes spigot bush puller and got the stupid thing out today. Tried to get a new one in and messed it up pretty badly so I'll have to try another method of getting it back in tomorrow with a spare I have here.
  13. Thanks Dan! I'm not at the stage of getting it back on yet but right now I have no problem doing it on the ground with jack stands and ramps. A hoist would be ideal but not impossible to do as I am.
  14. I caved in and went back outside to do more work in this terrible heat. Before Cleaning up/after Having a very hard time with the spigot bush so I may go buy a removal tool tomorrow or try the grease method (which failed once today)
  15. Soooooooo. Pulled off the clutch, flywheel etc. Yesterday when I got the gearbox before removing the above I could see what looked like the lightweight flywheel I just bought.... I was right, already had a lightweight flywheel. Some weird sort of thread locker? This was the old clutch BTW No stamping of part numbers on it and in all honesty, great condition but it just won't keep the power when the car is done. Rear main - Struggling to get it out but I'll get to it. More pictures eventually. I'm going to work on creating a how to using someone else's instructions with their permission and detailed pictures. In particular the top gearbox bolts which are beyond stupid.
  16. Thank you KD Gearbox off Engine side Flywheel, Clutch disc and pressure Plate stacked and ready
  17. The amount of excited I am is real. Seriously though, It's good that Import Monster is so accommodating. FWIW I live in Blacktown (Sydney) so if anyone is nearby we can do a group shipping order to probably save a bit more also. I would guess they aren't all that heavy but another FWIW it just cost me $100 express shipping for a 20KG package from Brisbane which might give us a rough idea.
  18. Hi All, Just a quick one I hope - I recently purchased a HEL braided clutch line which is a full line replacement (replaces hardline from master all the way to the slave). Can anyone confirm which side of the braided clutch line goes to the master and which goes to the slave? They both have different fitting - Image below Thank you!
  19. I caved last night and started ripping shit out of the car. Starter Motor off Tailshaft marked Fluid dropped Shifter out slave off All connectors removed from box Breather off the gearbox I won't have time to work on it tonight but I'll continue tomorrow night for sure. Progress pictures to come tomorrow.
  20. Braided clutch line came today Clutch, Flywheel, Nismo Pivot Ball and the Pressure plate bolts are all due tomorrow so I guess I should start pulling the car apart soon
  21. I hear nothing but bad stories - Piss poor quality and known to crack
  22. Heuheuheuheu
  23. Heuh - I didn't know about this until now My opinion was that the bigger pump would draw masses of current so it was worth doing the wiring upgrade - no? Regardless my car running "how do you do" seems to be caused by other issues not the reg but I'll test that theory tonight when I get home
