G4 Coilover Shocks For R33
kingtube69 replied to hsv 5.7's topic in For Sale (Car parts and other accessories)
Price and location? -
Thanks everyone for the input, I'm new to turbo life so every bit of info is appreciated!

Thanks GTSTBoy, is GTR injectors a good upgrade?
-
What would the stock injectors capable of?

Hi All, I've had a quick search but couldn't find a definite answer. I have an R33 S2 GTST and it's got a few mods to it: FMIC 3" Exhaust to highflow Lukey exhaust Nistune ECU 10 pound wastegate spring Splitfire Coilpacks To my knowledge it's running a stock set of injectors and fuel pump (yet to confirm) - I may have forgotten something, sorry. It was last tuned with a stock SMIC and the exhaust as is. My question is would I get more power from the car if I got it retuned with the FMIC this time? It made just over 170 at the rear wheels but after reading a few threads on here (this for example - http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/10567-front-pipe-dump-pipe-beforeafter-dyno-results-203rwkw-stock-ecuturbo/) and they are making similar/more power and I have the Nistune. Any replies are appreciated! Cheers, Jacob

I was waiting for someone to say that!

Thank you for the response GTSTBoy, I understand where you're coming from. I've never paid anyone to work on my previous cars, Always done everything myself and redid the wiring harness for the conversion but this is a car I'm not completely familiar with. Maybe with time I'll learn more and get into it. I think for now I'll stick to the ECU talk and software and heed your advice regarding having the laptop next to me. I even tossed up the idea or having it log to a carputer or something of the sorts. Still undecided. Thanks again

Thank you MLR, I'll take your word for it and either get those or the HPX. Cheers -
Bit of a noob to tuning so I'm a bit worried - It was tuned by a guy "Toshi" I think who should be on here (what the prev owner said) maybe I should leave it to the pros

Just checked and it's not that bad. You do make a very valid point, cheers

Thanks MLR, is there an Aus distributor you know of around? Thanks -
I'll have to look into the software and license then, not too sure about it. Thanks

I think I found my answer, get an ECUTALK Consult cable and using their software you can do data logging. I'll just get that.

I'm not overly fussed about money but I am very new to cars this big so I'm not sure what I should get. A good mate of mine (also on here somewhere) is running similar power and went for OEM pads and RDA standard rotors IIRC. Thanks for your help! -

The previous owner didn't change them in their ownership of 3 years so the pads are a bit low and I think the rotors probably aren't that good with that being said there is no bad gouging on them at all. Would it make sense to machine the rears and get slotted or something for the front for a bit more stopping power? -
Hi All, I hope this is in the right section but I would like to ask what people know of/are running which gives them a readout of various information like coolant temp, rpm, speed, afr, boost pressure etc? I would like something you can scroll through or list multiple items on. I had a look around but couldnt really find anything (maybe I was searching the wrong terminology) I believe my car has a NISTUNE in it, can I somehow read data off this? Anyway, please let me know what you use/recommend Car is an R33 GTST Cheers

I have been through a lot of info on here but there is too many conflicting opinions. I have 170 at the rear in my 33 and I like a bit of spirited mountain runs, don't see myself doing track days yet. Should I get the following: QFM HPX all around DBA or RDA slotted rotors all around Is there a better alternative while keeping it under $500? Thanks -
Thanks for the warm welcome, Will do

Hi All, My name is Jacob, I just thought I would introduce myself. I've been on this forum for a bit but never owned a Nissan until recently. For the past two years I owned a Toyota Corolla with 4AGE 20V Blacktop motor in it. A few weeks before I got my full license my friend got himself an R32 GTST with some goodies and I just fell in love with it and so began the search for a Skyline. *Cut to today* I now own an R33 GTST with some good supporting mods. I've submitted a build thread just waiting for it to be approved now. Anyway, I look forward to meeing you all in the near future!

Hi All, New-ish to the forum – A couple of months ago a good friend of mine bought an R32 GTST Type-M. I instantly fell in love then started looking around at different turbo cars, potential, cost and repairs etc. This led me to a lot of informative posts on SAU and through that I was set. I wanted a Skyline. I decided that I would like an R32 but they are a bit old and they have no airbags (not that I don’t love them!). The other option was an R33 S2, dual airbags, big, cheap, safe, fast.. You get the idea. After a bit of looking and a couple of disappointments I found one that looked promising. The only issue was that for the price it wouldn’t last long and it was raining outside so I wouldn’t get a great look at it. We went to look at it anyway and spent about 2 hours on the wet ground crawling around looking for issues. I found a few small things that needed to be done but it could not be beaten for the price. Two big pain points and requirements the car had to meet were P/S and A/C this had both J Modifications: Blitz SE Return Flow Intercooler Nistune ECU 3” turbo back exhaust to Lukey muffler – Muffler has twin 6cm tips which give it a nice sound without looking OTT Pedders Extreme Coilovers Dyno tuned (I believe by “Toshi” on here???) Splitfire coilpacks 10 pound wastegate spring It has all the supporting mods to get me more power but I’m happy for now. List of to do items: Rocker cover gaskets - ORDERED Power steering hose replacements (leaks a bit from the top) Brakes need a service Oil Change Coolant Change New Drivers seat – PICKING UP LATER THIS WEEK Stereo (undecided on this yet) Clean small patch of surface rust from boot – THIS WEEKEND Reseal tail lights Climate control LED mod Polish headlights – THIS WEEKEND Detail engine bay and car Respray bumpers and bonnet (if they really bother me which they don’t really at the moment) Fix third brake light (I believe it’s an LED setup?) Map lights at the windscreen don’t work so troubleshoot that Clean ACC Valve (Idle valve) as it seems to be fluctuating ever so slightly which is a bit annoying but I’ll live. Lubricate mirrors, they work fine but are a bit rough New rims and tires Shift boot/Ebrake boot – ORDERED C Spanners for coilovers Coolant flush/fill Most importantly, Drive the car! I have some questions about the car as I’m a noob but I will Google them first and if I don’t find the answer I’ll ask on here. Thanks for reading guys – Pictures below: When I picked it up: I'll get some more photos on the weekend when I get a chance to wash it. Cheers, Jacob
