  1. fitted a nissan bearing to my car and it works fine on a os gikken triple plate.
  2. Ive got a chrome moly one piece tailshaft in my R32 gtr. Saves 4kg in rotating mass... Had to get it sent off twice for the guys to get the length right and rebalance it. The length is important on GTRs because they dont use a slip in spline into the back of the gearbox like GTST's. They are bolted to the transfer case flange and hex bolted to the diff so you are relying on the in/out movement on the CV that bolts to the diff. If there is no clearance you will get vibration and gradually destroy bearings in driveline. A lot of the 300ZX guys are getting one piece tailshafts made up and have been for a while.
  3. All items pref COD. NARDI WHEEL including chrome centre button, no boss kit. Didn't suit mates soarer as he has airbag wheel. Good nick $150 ONO APEXI turbo timer, never used, complete. Mate's soarer got supercharged instead of turboed so he didn't need to install it. $80 ONO R32GTR cold air intake snorkel. Made from fibreglss. Suit a custom air intake setup on skyline etc, cut to modify etc. Didn't use it cos my intercooler piping is bigger than stock and CAI would not work out on my set up. Cost me $250, $120 ONO Just give us a PM if interested.
  4. Ahh the hostility. Just overtake and either deafen him or get in front and do the same. Had a p plater do it to me tonight, didn't mess with me afterwards.
  5. Spotted black 32 gtr wsid wednesday, ran a 12.5 silver 33 gtst and a white 32 gtst. Spotted chick in a silver r33 gtst sat lunchtime on great western playing with wrx and me. Spotted two r33 gtst skylines heading penrith way on great western couple of hours ago and a lone black r33 gtst at st marys traffic lights.
  6. can't see why not? It's been done before with a bimmer and an xr6 turbo!!!!
  7. Saw a silver r33 GTST with stock wheels pulling out of parking spot behind corolla 10 kms from just jap this arvo. Not as many skylines out these days I've noticed.
  8. You 2002 guys should have a get together cruise with what you drive now. Would be interesting.
  9. I know of one of em 93 models? older shape v6 that will probably kick some asses soon. It's getting a birthday present in the way of a 3litre v6 twin turbo GTO twin turbo motor and running gear, 6 speed and AWD is going to be fitted. The g box is a getrag too. It will look pretty stock externally, cept for the 4 pots from the donor front cut we pulled the motor out of this weekend. They only use TD04's on the 3 litre but in someting as light as an early model magna you know what the outcome will be at the lights. I want to see it run at the drags when we're finished. Should be interesting as we are still working it out. Early days yet.
  10. I've got a left hand rear hub/suspension assy, but needs new bearing in the hub. Parts I don't need. Assy was from just jap.
  11. use existing fasteners to mount the cover, as it's a straight bolt in. And fit the CAS gasket from the old cover as well.
  12. i was thinking about getting a drain plug fitted to the bottom of my oil cooler to drain out the old crap. Undoing and doing up oil lines over time can't be good.
  13. Go genuine oem. Best for a nissan. Worked okay for my os gikken triple plate
  14. You should check to see if it's the same resistance as original one and same thread....
  15. People say you can't drift on GT4. We proved em wrong. If you want to drift the two cars to buy would have to be the HKS genki silvia and the BLITZ R34 GTT from the performance tuners. I prefer the GTT, just turn oversteer, understeer and TCS off and run sports soft tyres. NOS helps a bit too with both cars. Tune suspension to suit, but the stock settings and lowered are pretty close to ideal for some. Happy drifting. PS Two player drifting is very interesting when you get it right and check out the replay!!
  16. Put me in for the run if I get my car sorted in time and get back from trip.
  17. Smoke and mirrors apparently........
  18. I put one of them high flow metal cats in my GTR (barrel shaped stainless steel one) it's the bomb. As much power as running without one....I paid $420 for mine last year. It had 3 inch end flanges on it.
  19. Yuo shouldn't granny drive skylines too much cos it packs em up over time. A decent drive clears the throat a bit!!
  20. I did it the long way and cut the plastic mount to fit pioneer 5x7 2 ways. Look and sound great.
  21. People are always asking about faults with their steering, AWD etc so I'm posting up some of the codes from the manual to help with troubleshooting. Hope this helps: Heres the codes for the common faults in the R32 GTR (not sure but may be similar to R32GTST): Codes are taken by counting flashes off EXHAUST GAS TEMP dash light for engine codes after computer is put into diagnostic mode(pop the interior fuse lid off and short the two top RH pins on the 14 PIN plug for approx 2 secs then open. Helps to just hook up a push button switch to the pins). ATTESSA system taken off red light on computer under rear parcel shelf LHS when ignition is turned on HICAS diagnostics need to be run with consult tool as there is no fault codes available. Engine stuff: CODE NO: 11. crank angle sensor signal system 12. Air flow meter signal system 13. Engine temp sensor signal system 21. Ignition signal system 34. Detonation sensor signal system 41. Intake temp sensor signal system 43. Throttle sensor signal system Last but not least, the one we all prefer: 55. NO ERROR 4WD CODES: LED FLASHES 1. Right front wheel speed sensor or circuit 2. Left front......... 3. Right rear........ 4. Left rear......... 5. ABS right front wheel actuator solenoid or circuit 6. ABS left front....... 7. ABS REAR wheel....... 8. ABS actuator motor, motor relay or circuit 9. ABS actuator relay or circuit 10. ETS control unit power supply or circuit 11. Fore aft G sensor 1 or circuit 12. Fore aft G sensr 2 or circuit 13. Fore aft G sensor 1, Fore aft G sensr 2 14. G sensor power supply 1 15. G sensor power supply 2 16. Lateral G sensor or circuit 17. Air bleed connector or circuit 18. ETS pressure switch or circuit 19. ETS motor, motor relay or circuit. 20. ETS solenoid or circuit 21. THROTTLE sensor or circuit 22. ETS oil level switch or circuit 23- 24 or continually ON or OFF: ETS control unit, ground or ciruit.
  22. Got a one piece chrome molly tailshaft made up for my GTR. Saves roughly 4kgs of weight off driveline. The two piece is only 1070mm long anyway so a one piece shouldn't cause any issues at high speed if it's balanced and only a metre long?
  23. in boot under the boot latch plastic trim cover. One of the relays under there.
  24. Thanks Cowie. The white R33 GTR you built looks great. I hope I can get mine up to scratch. The 1991 1:18 diecast Bathurst model GTR, I bought for $189 two and a half years ago in Hobart Tassie at Mccains models. They had two of the same ones for sale and I bought one of em. Build no. of this one is:4532 of 4626
