  4. carby cleaner or contact cleaner is the best. These products don't leave residue on the sensor or cause damage to it as far as I know.
  5. air fills cylinders easier cos the throttle isnt blocking airflow so much when it's open. Service manual says so....

Yeah, happy sliding for me too yesterday then a bit of a drift around the corner, then the backend broke loose and more oversteer, then I put a bit more throttle in to get the front torque to pull me straight but... Round I went 180 degrees, parallel crashing into the 30cm high kerb on the other side of the road. Damn it sucks crashing and f*#king up your wheels, suspension arms front lip and spoiler, and throw in a front crossmember and cv joint too. Only happened yesterday arvo Just out of lithgow heading back to sydney. My fault, going too quick around a corner. Take it easy guys.

  9. got the 300k speedo reading around 280klm/h in 5th, no speed cut, higher rev limit and 1.3 bar ages ago.
  10. the hose that goes into the transfercase actually just feeds pressurised fluid into the actuator that is mounted at the back of the transfer case. the transfer case has it's own fluid that you service, one drain plug and one filler plug. attessa actuator reservior should be in the rhs of boot behind liner.
  11. how old are the coil overs. my ohlins at the front were making a rattling noise over certain bumps and it sounded like worn components but it was the shocks that were stuffed.

  14. Put 5x7 two ways in the front doors and they sound good, had ripped out originals cos they were stuffed. Managed to pull out plastic speaker mount and cut it out a little to suit the 5x7s. reinstalled everything and it still retains the clean stock appearance. Put 6" 2 way kenwoods in the back. Just have to sort out what sub install I can fit in the boot without loosing to much room and gaining xtra weight.
  15. Aren't the front diffs R180 units, so it probably won't fit.
  16. If you are still getting 4 PSI then the turb is still working. Is it a stock turbo and what boost did you use? Waste gate diaphram stuck open so just about all the exhaust gas goes by the wastegate?
  17. Sound about right. I've got sard 720cc sprayers in mine and running 13-22psi. 500cc-550cc have less room for more power output when you want to get more HP.

  19. if you can get an OS gikken, they are cool to use. Still using tripple plate that came in my car os gikken and it feels like a twin plate. It's a daily driver. around 360 hp at rear wheels.
  20. My car came with a HKS FCON v piggy back and this uses a denso map sensor and has no MAF sensors. It's a daily driver and I have pretty much no issue with driveability. Yes it's a bit vague between -2 to +2 PSI when accelerating but more air gets to the turbos in the end, and it also depends on what your tuner can do to make the map smoother, just my 2 cents.
  21. look at getting the magic 4" type cats that flow more than a 3" high flow, dump pipes that divide wastegate gasses from turbine outlet Not cheap things though. K&N filter if you have stock airbox. NGK iridium tip plugs under drive pulley kit? (power to weight ratio) take any extra weight out of your car, passengers, seats, dont run any more than 1/2 tank of fuel

  23. with an 8.5 to 1 comp ratio and what the manual says, that's pretty good. warm eng avg should be 161 PSI , limit 128 PSI with no more than 14 PSI difference between cylinders.

  25. Some seem to like going through cv boots from age and clutches too. Whatch out for some cars that like to rev alot and break into lots of wheelspin too.
