  1. Umm the rear is sealed, oil/air can only enter from the front of the baffle, then it does it's back and forth crap in the baffle itself.... I know because of both hi octane one's I have personally fitted.
  2. If you don't have the holes drilled to clear the cam cap studs, then yes. Hi octane sell them pre drilled, so they just bolt straight in. After silicone sealing the parts that need sealing as per destructions... So you can either move the lobe baffles and studs, or leave them. Mine's one's, they will need to be moved.
  3. Yeah if Yavus can get away from your car for just a few hours!!! I also put in the crank trigger kit this arvo woot!!! It works fine, it's all coming together
  4. Don't notice it. My knees don't bend the other way:) Only if you put you feet right up to the base of the seat. If it's a problem, I usually mount them on the passenger side. 5. Finally fitted mine after getting an approved fire extinguisher. Great bit of kit!! thanks again!!
  6. New GTR badges are on And also mounted a brand new fire extinguisher and bracket.
  7. Ross balancer with powersteering under drive pulley. Brand new belts stretch and need to be re-tensioned in my case....didn't retension soon enough. Time will tell if it's something more commonly wrong or not. I've read the balancer thread.
  8. Was an 'oh crap' moment, skipped a beat!! Lucky it was still hanging on the balancer. True Paul, you lost one too! It's ready to go, just have to wait till Tuesday for tune booked in. I'm curious too, it's just linear on 14psi, I just want it to go well, butt dyno is the one I actually care about. Numbers are just that, numbers...
  9. Meh, nah spent too much already! Spat a power steering belt mid corner today on Putty Rd, scary moment!! Nearly crashed Needed to be retensioned anyways. Damn they are hard to steer with no power steering!!
  10. Haha...98 only Not man enough for E85 cane fuel. Thanks Dan! Just a few little things to fix/adjust then tune
  11. Coolant system bled, oil setup and catchcan done Thought I'd check the cam timing on the gears as it has been sluggish at low to mid RPM. Well I stuffed up, got the advance and retard settings on the gears backwards, which meant that it liked top end due to retard on intake cam and advance on exhaust. Once I fixed that and adjusted it correctly to suit stock cams, and rechecked timing with timing light again, it's now back to it's great drivable self again...silly me!!! 14PSI is great, I'm looking forward to what it will do with 22 or so PSI into it
  12. My rods are still in another block.....
  13. Well oil/oil mist in the combustion cylcle is an octane reducer, so knock is more likely to happen...
  14. Unigroup, if I can get it sorted and once (if) they have a free spot for me/fit me in.... You know with all these boats taking up valuable time and space
  15. Lol...he thinks it's needs cams now!
  16. Hopping mad... Help Karch to fit his oil cooler, all good
  17. Thanks. Got them off ebay, of all places. Then customised with stickers Must be a big air lock!!! Never had it this bad...I'm retorquing headstuds as a precaution. Timing was conservative as far as I know, tuner checked it on dataloggit after base timing check....
  18. Nitto h beams on a 26. 500hp at the rears. Nice rod.
  19. Put it on the dyno. Got up to 272RWKW @ 14psi before we called it quits. Water temp was going from 92 to 105 in just one run.. possible headgasket issue. Also have to sort out sump breather hose, seems to push oil up the pipe, and into the oil/air separator plumbing and intake
  20. Compressor housings were cut and welded to fit up oem plumbing. It's not as easy as just bolting them in. I got flanges welded onto the compressor outlets, and welded the intake piping onto compressors as well after porting them out. I wanted stock plumbing, so no silicone joiners and aftermarket plumbing. Heat would be a problem too as blue_vl_t mentioned . Here's a link to my build thread (last few pages for GTX's), if you want to read more about the setup: http://www.skylinesa...89#entry6615289
  21. Well my setup is finally sorted and on the road. Tune will be next after run in. Can't wait to put some boost into these babies!!! GTX2860's HPI dump pipes tomei 2.8 stock cams ported stock intake pipes modded GTX compressor housings. HKS actuators
  22. Tuesday was spent finishing off engine accesories and piping, as well as exhaust, oils, belts etc. Cranked engine over with no plugs to get oil through the oil cooler and engine. 20 seconds later, oil pressure Filled radiator up with water only to settle head gasket sealing material, and once I dump the run in oil, I'll put in coolant. Once it was ready to go, it fired up straight away, smooth and quiet. Like it never got pulled apart!! So bedded in the rings going up the blue mountains and I've put 270kms on it so far. Next is another oil and filter change then tune!! Pic of my 'standard' setup.
  23. Well mine's on the road Put 270km on it, running it in. Tune is next.
