GTRsean replied to GTRsean's topic in Events Archive
Well considering something is on just about every weekend leading up to the end of the year......meh. Should be a great cruise, and one of the last social cruise events I'll organise before I move up to sunny QLD. -
From jaycar, and they are 4000MCD. Lol, I put in in the last page of my post.... Cool, yeah I had a brief look in ebay..meh My tip for the day is keep an eye on the oven, if you smell plastic....RUN lolz!!!!

Perspex sucks!!! I got it from bunnings. If you can get polycarbonate/lexan, that material is less likey to shatter. I cut it with a bandsaw at bashers workshop, the inside ring, I just drilled a crap load of holes with drill then used the drill to cut between the holes. Then just gave it a quick file. It's rough, but beats paying $1200+ for nismo's. Cost: housings $250 (I didn't want to pull mine apart) perspex $35 90 LEDs $78 (jaycar electronics) resistors and diodes $4 silicone $12 I'm hoping the will be bright enough! In hindsight I should of tried the brake lights in the sun to check brightness....

RB26DETT PFC, nismo AFM's -9's 555cc Around town, 400-420km Hwy 100-110km, 550km I use 5th at 60-80km and 6th over 80km. Some people I've noticed use the wrong gear for the speeds they do, ie 3rd gear at 60km..... you think they just want to be ready to boost off or something. All you do is wear engine quicker and use a gut load more fuel. There is using the wrong gear like 5th at 40km/h up a hill, but come on!!! O2 sensors seem to be a common culprit, and also lazy tuners that don't spend some time tweaking the light load/cruise map, and you end up with poor fuel economy. Shouldn't matter what size injectors that are used too. I think ecomony matters as it = more fun km per tank And Michael, geez that is like E85 fuel economy!!!! That ain't right!!

My attempt at Nismo style LED tail lights. Nearly melted part of a housing!!! lol. 4000MCD from jaycar. Only outer LEDs get brighter for braking as per factory. I also have a center brake light kit ready to go. I will probably do the indicator as well once I source some orange LEDs and fit a resistor to load up the circuit to avoid the blown globe fast flash issues...

Nice day and a nice turnout. The vitara held the rear lol!

Nismo front pipe might be a bit small as well..... You'd want something like a twin 3 into 3.5inch outlet front pipe.

tomei crank weight is 20KG, same as stock. I get the stock oil feed plugs removed and get it tapped and grubscrewed, then balanced to make sure they are all good to go before it gets used..
