  1. Tie rods would be the issue, they love to flog out on the inner ball end joint that connects to the rear steering rack ends. I had play on the LHS and a tiny amount on the RHS. Ordered in 2 new tie rods from RHD and fitted them up. No more play Same pn. as a 33GTS-T lol.
  2. Nuffin sus
  3. And no more local falcon or commodore in the near future....
  4. They get turfed on compliance and a shitty compliance cat is fitted. Genuine cat is a great cat converter, compared to the cheap compliance one
  5. Or a precision single turbo
  6. 2860-5 straight bolt in.
  7. Use the original block and swap the crank and rods etc over. That way you can keep the AWD setup
  8. You think I would of learned the first time... Yeah love the stock cams down low. Easy to pull over double factory power from them too.
  9. Yeah it's been a while eh! Gonna go stock cams so, the usual settings on those , was happier with stock for street. Yep love the stubby kingchromes!
  10. Yeah that was the more likely thing I was gonna do. Drive down to Syd for a tune and say hi
  11. I'll do the turbo swap tomorrow. Oh the joys!... Tempted to fly Yavus up here and rent a dyno! ;D
  12. Thanks! Work in progress, but all back together and ready to go now
  13. Stock cams were dialled in when tuned by unigroup. Type b's weren't touched by godzilla. I improved it with more advance on intake cam. 22-23PSI at 4900-5000RPM on a 2.8... Godzilla tune was very safe with timing and didn't get light throttle tuned that's another story... -5 should come on earlier Stock cams felt great for street driving too. Poor mans VCAM on the way as well, but that is yet another story. The GTX2860 is a 400hp turbo and the -5 is a 350hp, make your own conclusions
  14. My GTX2860's are hitting full boost too far up in the RPM range. What do I do Went from a 11.6@122MPH with unigroup tune with stock cams. To: 12.4@116MPH with Godzilla tune with Tomei 260 B's. Lost mojo somewhere! Why?! Oh, I'm going to go back stock cams and fit my BY Engineering brass bearing cage modded -5's BTW cos I can.
  15. Compression stroke?
  16. Keep in mind that was with stock cams too with -9's. My tomei type b's I'm running now were a bit of a disappointment down low for off idle to 3000 rpm response. I was surprised how good the stock cams are!
  17. Should be stock ceramics, then -7 -9 -5 -10 T88
  18. LOL ^ epic
  19. What brand of taco? old el paso? Can't help, either hard or soft taco. If you need to fit a tacho however... You will need to find the correct wire from the ecu, or wiring diagram, and check with an automotive multimeter as they can measure rpm. Hopefully the tacho is actually fine.
  20. Same thing for me, you will not have to mod as you are switching from 34 to 32 pinion and center. I also had to dremel some clearance into a 32sump to fit my 34 diff components (pinion gear).
  21. I'm modding up a pair of -5 garrett's at the moment, bought a lathe and measured up the stock nylon bearing cages. Made some new cages from brass rod (there are different grades) and after a few attempts finally got 4 ready to go. In the process of pulling the turbo's I'm going to use apart, fit the cages and fit to my car Quite a fiddly and precise job!
  22. My shorty4
  23. My crack at editing
  24. R34 GTR and 15 silvias had dual mass flywheels to reduce NVH, especially at idle and low RPM. They are pretty heavy though. Not sure about other models. Probably Z33's too?
