What was the issue mate? I'm facing a similar problem at the moment.
  2. Cheers. Actually looking for something more track suitable as this scrubs hardcore and I have to run camber on the rear at this height.. Probably get some nice tires whilst I'm at it so I have some grip later on.
  3. I finally have updates after growing slack. Firstly, more photos. New Blitz Return Flow Intercooler, took forever to fit. New Greddy Profec, excuse potato. Car was initially running 6psi when I got it, now it's running 10psi. What a difference it made! So much more fun to drive. Few other things were done - - Walbro GSS342, perfect swap for OEM fitment using the oem fuel sock. Exact same dimensions as the stock pump, super easy. - Splitfire coilpacks and yellow jacket coilpack loom Should be able to get a nistune soon after I iron out some bugs, then onto some new wheels/coilovers and swaybars ect.
  4. Will grab one to test it out. Could it be AFM dry solder joints?
  5. Hi guys, My R34 GT-T is misfiring in the higher rpms when the oil temp gets around 105-110 ish degrees (on the stock gauge), the hotter it gets the earlier the missfire starts to happen. Mostly it happens just before redline, but sometimes it will misfire as early as 5500 normally hotter the air temp the worse it is. There is also a slight missfire on idle/low rpms. If I try and start the car when it is hot, It takes ages to start and will pop and backfire occasionally. Sometimes it starts for a few seconds and revs at about 500rpm then dies out again unless I give it a tad of throttle. The car drives flawlessly when cooler (around 90 deg oil temp), no issues whatsoever. Details about the car - Replaced Coilpacks and Loom with splitfires, yellow jacket loom. - New Spark plugs 2000 kms ago, NGK Coppers BCPR6ES - New Walbro GSS342 with direct wiring, Fuel filter - Front Mount intercooler - Stock ECU - 3 Inch TBE - Running 6/10 psi (high/low boost), the issue occurs if I'm running either boost pressure. - Recently replaced O2 sensor - Cleaned the AFM I have hooked up the car to nissan consult and the sensors all seem to be working correctly, I have not encountered a check engine light or error code. Anyone got any ideas? Much appreciated.
  6. Well this is definitely another case of the same issue, car now runs flawlessly.
  7. I cannot stress the importance of doing this, recently upgraded to a Walbro GSS342 using the stock wiring and the car drove like poo and stalled on me a few times. After the wiring upgrade it's all back to normal
  8. It was sold as a pump only used for a tank of fuel then upgrading to e85 setup, was $60 so I couldn't pass it up. I've read through all the threads about the pump rewire and this issue was never mentioned, so I wasn't sure it if was related or the pump was dodgy. Obviously wasn't safe to assume that it would flow similar to the stock pump at the stock voltage... Will do the complete rewire when I have time and see if that fixes the issue, as this will be the first time I've heard/read of it. Thanks
  9. EDIT - Just realised wrong section, move to General Maintenance Please. Hi guys, Just installed a Walbro GSS342 into my skyline R34 GT-T without rewiring it. I'm only running stock turbo so I decided it could be done at a later date. After I installed the Walbro I am now getting surging, as if the car momentarily loses power mostly at low RPM. Is it a dead fuel pump? I bought it second hand and am not 100% on it's condition or is it a grounding issue? Thanks in advance. Owen
  10. Cleaned it, dropped my idle when warm a little bit but missfire is still present.
  11. I might order some hoses to replace the split ones but for now wanted to eliminate that as a possible cause for a missfire issue I have. I've tried - Spark plugs .8mm Fuel filter Boost leaks Reverted boost back to stock. O2 sensor Ordered split fires, any other ideas? Missfire is mostly below 4k rpm. Cheers Missfire can mostly be noticed below 4k rpm.
  12. Thanks, I've now blocked off the recirc pipe and the pipe going to the canister control solenoid. Only confused about the lines running out of the canister, there are two and both go to hard lines. They then split and run down each side of the vehicle, i've traced the passenger side one back to the fuel tank but I can't find where the one of the drivers side goes.
  13. Hi guys, When I bought my R34 all the vac hoses were muddled and I'm in need of some help as I cannot find the information anywhere else. Firstly, is it completely ok for the charcoal cannister to be removed from a r34? As it has the Solenoid Valve which controls the purge. Do I just block everything off except for the fuel tank breather? I am currently using a manual boost controller and the OEM solenoid is disconnected. Is it perfectly ok to connect it to this nipple on the hot side of the intercooler piping straight to the wastegate actuator? Where does the nipple on the BOV recirculation pipe need to be connected to? This is the nipple just before the BOV line goes back into the intake. It can just be seen here where the vac line connects (on the left) Cheers
  14. Hnnng those TE37s are hot, awesome colour combo maybe you should treat yourself for christmas?
  15. I will chuck up some more pictures when I give it a good detail later this week. Ordered a DAS6-Pro and will hopefully get rid of all the scratches and swirls. In the next few months - Blitz Returnflow Front Mount - Greddy Profec EBC - Nistune - Replacement Gauges for factory. Thinking of getting the 60mm Shadow BF series, any recommendations? - Paint interior - Retrim Steering wheel/Gearboot/Handbrake boot - Floor matts - Install hektic stereo from previous car.
  16. Hi guys, bought this car last month after owning a 99 Subaru Liberty for 2 years. Going from a slow boat that gets thrashed at the lights by camry's to this has been a huge jump. Only mod I've done since buying it is install a manual boost tee as it was running wastegate pressure, although I am slowly doing little maintenance jobs that needed doing. - Cleaned out aircon, was noisy and had half a field worth of spinifex and leaves in it, filters were blaaaack with tokyo juices. - Wet Vac'd the entire car, much human slime came out. Car had a horrible case of the skyline smell. Specs Tires/Rims Rota P45s - 18 x 9.5 +12 Nexen 7000, 235 Engine Apexi Pod Filter Manual Boost Tee at 8psi Apexi N1 Turbo Back Suspension Crappy Coilovers I have many, many plans for this car and have been getting ideas from other guys on these forums.. Cheers!
