  3. Hi, Interested in the RB 30 block / 25 head hybrid engine. Do you have any more information about this custom engine, like; - who & when was it built & has it been running? ..... is so for how many kms? - was the block bored & what pistons (type & compression) were fitted? - is the head off a RB25de or RB25det? - what about manifolds? ....... & any other info that will help in determing my purchase interest. Thanks, Richard
  4. What is the internal diameter of the TB inlet throat? ...... as there apparemtly were several sizes of TBs used by Ford during the era of the Falcon XF. Cheers, Richard
  5. Hi Rowdyr32, Interested in your posting. Are you interested in fabricating a pair of offset caliper mounting brackets for my 324 mm discs onto my R31? If so, please email me at [email protected] Cheers, Richard
  6. Hi BB, Email sent. Cheers, Richard
  7. Hi Roy, The Sumitomo 4 pots off a R33 or R34 Gtst should do the job with the big diameter 324 mm x 30 mm discs. This is what my son has about to be fitted up to his R31. Only the caliper brackets to come ....... hence the interest in what you are doing with them! Cheers, Richard
  8. Hi Roy, Did anything come of the offset brackets? Cheers, Richard
  9. We will post up all details on the conversion the SA forum when its all completed, incl. dyno reads. Cheers, Richard
  10. Hi guys, - We are looking at installing LPG into my son's R31 RB30e Aussie Skyline sedan, with a 50+% operating cost saving the main attraction as compared to 98 RON PULP. As he is a student & so money is tight then a monthly saving for him of $100 - $150 cannot be easily ignored. - As LPG in Sydney is about 102 - 106 (depends on the mix of propane & butane) then he can dial up a lot more ignition advance than on petrol, so enabling his RB30e to run more efficiently. - We were going to instal a serviced head anyway, so will take the opportunity to shave the head quite a bit to up the static compression (from the stock 9.0 :1). - So, if all goes to plan, then he should have a bit more performance as well as save some $1500 / year in his operating costs. - Will let you all know how it all works out, including pre & post dyno readings. Cheers, Richard Everett
  11. Hi Stocky, You did not open up as to how you got 130 rwkw on a RB30e at 3 psi boost? Can only assume you are using some sort of supercharger? For us 'dummies' please tell all - as 80 rwkw in NA form is what I have now & the attraction of a 60+% increase without going turbo is intriguing! Cheers, Richard
  12. Hi Roy - great tutorial! What is status on the caliper brackets? Cheers, Richard
  13. Hi BLITZ_R33, Did you get our postings? Cheers, Richard Everett
  14. GREAT INFO - THANKS! - My son & I are undertaking a major front brake upgrade on his Oz R31 sedan. - Original fronts are small 250 mm rotors & small single piston calipers. - Have now got HR31 front stut legs that allow fitmemt of R32 / R33 / R34 brakes. - Got the R34 four pot calipers & will take the advice on getting them HPC coated & new piston kit installed. - Intending to fit up DBA # 4928 R34 slotted & cross-drilled rotors - 334 mm x 30 mm , however the best price have got so far is $653 / pair! Does anyone know where we can get them for a better price? Anybody got experience with RDA equivalents? - Next step will be sourcing the custom billet alloy caliper brackets to fit up the R34 calipers to the HR31 strut legs. Are both 100 mm bolt spacing. Anybody know where best to get & price for a pair of these? Happy to be part of a Group Buy if this is to proceed. Cheers, Richard
  15. Hi, - Assume that these are drilled to a 114.3 x 4 stud pattern? - Please confirm rotor size (296 mm x 30 mm?) - What condition are the discs in? ...... i.e. what disc width left? - Assume the calipers are the R33 Sumitomo 4 spots? (in red?) Any pics? ..... as saves a thousand words! Cheers, Richard
  16. Assume they are off a '95 R33 GTST. Please confirm: - rotor size (296 mm x 30 mm?) - are they stock R33 units or aftermarket? - rotor condition? ..... that is usable rotor thickness? - calipers? ..... assume are the stock R33 Sumitomo 4 piston units ...... with the casting ribs? A few pics please - would be great to save a thousand words. Cheers, Richard
  17. Did you sell the used 296 mm x 30 mm R33 GTST front disc rotors? If not, how much do you want for them? Cheers, Richard Everett [email protected]
