  1. there is another thread around here somewhere where guys are using resisters from jaycar inline with the injectors. this is the route i will go when i upgrade to GTR injectors. mind you im pushing 256rwhp now with stock injectors and 10 psi above standard fuel pressure
  2. im making 191rwkw, and have only upped my fuel pressure from 38psi to 50psi. i have seen the option 1 garage drift car make 228rwkw on standard injectors
  3. hi tim, ive been told they drop straight in, but you need to put in a resistance pack to cater for the impedence difference. ive been told a resistor pack from a DR30 skyline efi will work.

Nissan S13 RB20DET conversion Chipped ECU RB25 turbo 3" exhaust 600x300x76 FMIC 15psi ACA rising rate fuel reg on mercury motorsports dyno made 191kw (256hp) at the wheels. on old tune 11psi with standard ECU made 150kw (201hp) at the wheels and ran a 13.5 @ 100mph with semi slicks and 1.8 60ft havent had a chance to run with the new tune
  5. hi ive done a search and couldnt really find what i was atfer, so i thought id just throw the question straight out there. im running an RB20DET, and my coilpacks have shat themselves. i borrowed a mates splitfires to make sure this was my problem, and it is. my question is, i have some bosch HEC-715 coils from a previous engine i had, and im wondering if they can be wired up to the standard RB20 ignitor module? i know i need to run the postive feed and switched negative feed to the coils, and discard the common earth, but i'm just not sure whether the HEC-715's are compatible with the RB20 ignitor. Has anyone tried this? thanks in advance, brendan

  7. hi guys, ive got an S13 with an RB20DET in it, and its got a fuel issue of some sort. heres the mods. RB20det manual with: RB25 turbo Twin dump 3" dump back exhaust 600x300x76 FMIC Bosch 040 intank pump now i used to have an XR6 turbo pump in there, and i could run 16psi no problem. it went fairly hard too. but it died last week and i put a bosch 040 intank pump in. i also went through a water temp sensor issue too, but that all fixed and the car is running sweet, except if a go above 9psi, it leans off. if i set the boost controller to 8psi, car runs perfect all teh way to 8000rpm till it hits the limiter. but anymore than this, and it leans off around 6000-7000 rpm and starts to pop and stutter. and i get off it, cuase i dont wanna blow it up.... so whats the deal? i think maybe the fuel reg is fooked, but i dont wanna buy a new one if this is not my problem. i also have a new fuel filter in there too... thanks in advance

    Rb20 Auto Help

    hi guys, i recently did an RB20 conversion on my silvia, and the auto in it shat itself. now i replaced it with an SR20 turbo auto, and swapped the bell housing and torque converter over and it ran fine. but recently it was involved in an accident which was only mild panel damage, but now it wont shift properly. i hold it flat and it shifts at 3500rpm into 2nd, 3000rpm into 3rd and overdrive. has anyone had this problem before? any idea would be super. oh and i have swapped the auto ECU back to the SR20 one and it was workin fine, only after the accident it has gone into this weirdness. thanks brendan

  11. hey guys, ive got an R32 RB20DET turbo for sale off a 92 R32 m spec. its off the front cut i bought for my S13 and i have upgraded to an RB25 turbo. the odometer read 84,320kms when i pulled the engine out of the cut, and ran teh RB25 turbo from the moment i put it in my S13 im located in brisbane's southside and im chasing $200 for it. its on VGC no shaft play. prefer to be emailed at [email protected] thanks brendan
  12. pintara's run 4.11:1 but the crown gear has 3/8" bolts whereas the skyline has 1/2" bolts...
  13. i remember johns r33 when he still had the rb25de in it. with the AVC-R it took me a fair bloody while to pull away and i had a 14.9 @ 106mph turbo mx6 at the time... NA can go if you fiddle, but same mods to turbo and they perform better. A larger exhaust on an NA will give say 5% increase of power at the wheels but a turbo will be more like 15% because its not just the exhaust, it spools quicker and it runs a few psi extra... but nothing compares to weight. i had a stock r32 turbo motor in an s13 and ran 14's flat. bit more boost than standard saw it push 153kw at the wheels and 13.6's.....

  17. the manifolds should bolt up to the RB 20/25 head as well should they? Or are they different to the RB 26?
