  3. for some reason I am unable to edit my post... Car is still for sale. Just had the head serviced + all gaskets replaced. Nismo thermostat. New timing belt Anything that hasnt been up to scratch I'm having fixed/had fixed. Car runs amazingly well with the aftermarket turbo considering the fact its still using a factory ECU. Car has 104,000ish kms This is a very responsive car, lots of pull through the entire rev range, very good for tight circuits. Car is now priced at $16,000 with Registration.
  4. had a water leak at the back of the block, having it fixed and new lines made up. battery check yours =) remember stock gauge doesnt go up until its PASSED a safe temperature for awhile..
  5. I can confirm its daily driven thats for sure.. i keep seeing you driving the gtr through the spit most days.. and i keep getting more jelous =(

  9. car had coolant.. but you see if you remove sparkplug #6 and look in there and crank the engine, you will see coolant going in there. so yeh.. coolant leak is for sure. Just gave my mecchy the go ahead to take the head off and tell me whats broken.. and ill update thread from there.

  11. Hi Guys, Just found out ive got a cracked cyclinder head, and im trying to figure out what to do. Im not too bad with doing basic mods.. but i have no idea when it comes to complexities of the engine/internals itself. Do I: Repair/fix existing crack? Engine swap for another RB25 While its out go forged or RB30DET? meh its out.. get a cheap Nissan v8 engine. or other.. as i said.. i have NO real idea what to do at this point, i havent been quoted YET for fixing/repairing the existing head. My goals for the car at the moment are very open.. i WAS aiming for epic responsive RB with 250-260rwkw.. however if im going to buy a new engine, why not do work on the engine for 3-4 months and aim for a higher power output since the engine is out/alot easier to mod. atm i aim to finish the engine with 10k to spend TOTAL.. dont add in costs of selling existing block/turbo. part of the 10k will go towards Exhaust+clutch+fuel pump+ecu+ebc.. so take that outta the total.. wanting reliability if its not too much to ask for also.. Car already has an Apexi turbo to make the 250/260kw..just hasnt been boosted yet Thx for any/all HELPFUL input.

  14. as already summed up the R35.. amazing car, but it doesnt have that rough street car feel. maybe ive become used to stripped out cars with blaring exhausts at idle..

  16. ive seen one and touched one, havent had a chance to drive one.. old cars are so much better imho.. u get that direct feel/interaction with the old cars that u just dont get the same feeling due to power steering + safety aides. Love the hakasukas(sp?) u just gotta make sure u have those ITBs growling loudly =)
  17. i used the pressure source for mine just after the turbo. mine doesnt spike at all (1.1 bar) and holds perfectly.. atm im seeing no need to upgrade to an EBC until i get it tuned for 1.6 Bar.
  18. old thread but issue continues.. ill check for the second one tomorrow.. going to start from scratch 1)clean out engine water lines, thermostat+housing,waterpump+rad 2)redo thermostat + waterpump, wait for goop to sealup 3)bolt shit back together 4)fill rad with fresh coolant. 5)bleed system + test anything else i may be missing?

  23. huge thread, looks good.. anyone know rough pricing for the ecu itself? (since it just plugs into the factory loom, no install costs required yeh?)
  24. you could try resetting the airbag system itself using the door cheat something like car on ACC, open door press the button on the drivers door to turn interior lights off down 7 times then start the car?
