  3. on the topic of oil.. i know a 'catch can' CATCHES oil.. but what does that do that benefits a normal car, eg a FMIC lowers intake temps upon higher boost
  4. when u were doing 160... u gunned it right.. by the time they catch up u'd be long gooone
  5. im dynoing my R34 on the weekend.. spending lots on octaine booster.. 10 pound hoping for 160ish might put my SMIC in the freezer before i dyno

  7. thanks for offer dude im just broke atm.. just bought the car and got my cf bonnet on it.. got coils on the way 1st since the car drives like a boat atm.. can barely feel the road.. i hate it.. i want my no-suspension feel back once i get to that point.. ill see if i go FMIC or exhaust 1st found solution: step 1) take off the rear muffler step 2)proceed to bash with hammer until it moves, if it doesnt move, break the muffler so have the exhaust pointing out the back of the car, not at the rubber on ur wheel... step 3) admire your hard work god i love being dodgy
  8. well i have a R34 with factory Nismo crap exhaust.. atm the sport function is closed. i flick the switch and u can hear it attempting to move, but it dont move at all.. ive even taken the spring off both the exhaust + actuator and cant even pull it with plyers to open/close.. i've WD40'd it.. no change.. ideas until i can afford a full exhaust /tip
  9. TSK TSK TSK.. boys u dont play aqua golf and aim for the boat... u cover a aqua ball in lighter fluid and light it then hit it p0000000n! atleast u know which ball is urs hehehe i'd be willing to contribute $20 towards tools.. but even better idea is a universal place which has a shed where u can do some BASIC/ MINOR work. while there.. so the tools dont go anywhere.. (eg, swapping tyres for drift day) or swaping rubber on tyres if theres a tyre machine
  10. is there something wrong with getting defected for the same thing over and over even if u get it cleared?

  20. no idea.. pics up @ 2am... long day at the office...
  21. yer thats what i thought... at first i thought ooo sheez.. cause it was only 1 day old to me... but took it for a boost around, still drives exactly the same, it might have a secondary which it uses elsewhere in the engine bay.. ill post up a pic to make sure we are thinkin about the same item.
  22. just picked mine up on tuesday... on stock boost, mine didnt whistle.. just the compression sound of air rushing.. but i put in a manual boost controller, bumped high up to 9psi... and it sounds fine getting there.. but it starts to whistle when it manitains 9psi from say 4k-7k
  23. I have an R34 GTT, and i was trying to unplug one of the boost lines so i could plug in the T piece and one of the plugs snapped, its attached to something labled 'turbo gauge' (i think) which goes to electronic plug. cable is found right near the firewall, center of the car, just behind the factory strut brace. basically, one of the tubes coming from just before the TB, it goes into a big round circle, red + black, then went into the plug i broke, then to an electronic sensor..which would go back to the ECU somewhere i think... ill put up pics when i get home, car drives fine... boost gauge still works fine. just wanting to know if i should get it replaced or not to worry. thanks for any usefull advice in advance
  24. not necessary, but helps keep temps down.. since its on the same side as the air filter..
