thinking about purchasing a Datsun 240z shell, preferably rolling, for a project. Prefer something in Victoria close to melbourne but would consider other options. I'd like it as bare as possible to build from ground up. Let me know what's out there

Bump. Anybody have a complete clutch for sale? Also, chasing a cat-back exhaust in Melbourne for s1 r33 gts-t. Open to anything at this stage. Let me know what you have Cheers

Hi Andrew, Any chance you can do me a deal if I buy a few parts off you?

^$800 will not even buy you the gearbox mate

Anybody selling a complete clutch minus flywheel with decent life left in it for 33 GTST? My power goals are not extreme nor are my mods....I have front mount, 3" exhaust and pod. Prefer Melbourne pick up but will pay for postage.

Seen no end of issues with this. Need to find a pair of seat belts and buckles that come from the same car. I want to buy the buckles and belts together so I know they match. Prefer Melbourne but willing to pay for postage.

Anybody looking for a good starting point for a track car? Throw me an offer
-
This car looks to be genuine as per the paperwork. If an importer has told you it would cost circa 50k landed excluding compliance, then theoretically $62k is not a bad 'retail' price, depending on what needs to be done for compliance (not too familiar with how stringent Canadian laws are). The way I've read the de-reg paper above there is some minor imperfections or repaired/repainted portion of the front right quarter panel, but I could be wrong? (year 12 Japanese class was a long time ago). If you'd like to buy a car at cost price then you'll be in need of a broker. Good luck

Hey everyone, I have a series 1 r33 that I'd like to part with. It's been sitting in the garage since May 2012 when the rego ran out. I had another car. My plan was to fix all the little dents with new panels which I have sourced and mostly done and eventually re-rego it at the end of the year but being a mature age uni student/full time worker/dad has gotten in the way and I'm sort of over it. The odometer reads 148,881 and the engine is stock and I remember the lifters being a bit noisy but apart from that it was strong. Clutch will need replacing but gearbox is awesome along with shockers, diff etc. I never did the 100,000 km service, because I was young, stupid and had no money (please don't lecture me). It's never hit a valve or anything though. Never blew oil, white smoke, never dropped water or oil. Really good car to me. Has a hole cut for front mount but shouldn't be a problem for RWC because no airbag sensors. The photos show the car with 18" wheels, it will be sold with the stock wheels and no exhaust from the cat, as I don't own the exhaust. There remains one dent and paint chip on rear left quarter panel where some idiot backed into it and drove off. The photos show no door on the drivers side but I have a new one and will reassemble before handover. No rego obviously it'll have to be towed or driven on UVP. I dont know what to ask for it, I've sourced and spent $2,000 on new parts in last 12 months. Have genuine Nissan water pump and timing belt to go with it. $5,000- throw me an offer. Car is located Frankston South

Right. I haven't seen that document before that stipulates conditions of race/rally. Thanks for that. I have another question for those in the know; it relates specifically to Lancers. Why can you not bring in anything earlier than the evo 5? Is there really much difference in safety and emissions between the 4 and 5? Im assuming that the reasons somewhat revolve around these factors. Im of the understanding the 4 didn't have the brembos and narrower tyres. Still had ABS however. It's just not a good ruling for those who were passionate about the WRC in the 90's.

Okay, I've read that the vehicle import approval has to be applied for by the RAWS and not the individual, as you have stated. As a DIY import job, you enter into a 'contract' if you like with the workshop doing compliance and they apply for the import approval on your behalf. But what if the vehicle is brought in for race/rally and need not be complied for Australian roads? Who then applies for the approval? What is stopping me from bringing in a Evo 5 for track days, have it sit in my garage for 12 months and then change my mind and want to drive it on the road?

Have textbook- Macroeconomics Hubbard Garnett Lewis O'Brien 2nd Ed. I'm at Deakin but I know this book is used broadly for commerce, business, arts degrees at many universities. Not a word of a lie, I did not open this book all semester. Untouched. I paid $166.50 for it in April (I bought it 7 weeks into semester) $120 ono Will post or meet at Deakin

I bought these a few weeks ago from Nissan Dandenong and I have no use for them now. They were for my RB25DET but I think they're the same for the 20 and 26? I could be wrong. Anyway, Timing Belt: $80 + postage Water Pump: $150 + postage Should work out slightly cheaper with postage than trade prices. - or - Pick up Mornington (south east Melbourne)

Hey guys, Im looking at an evo 5/6 and not overawed with Australian stock. In any case I don't have the cash flow right now to get one right away, but soon hopefully. Anyway, I've been doing my research on importing. Now stock in Japan seems reasonably priced and some look to be in great condition with low k's. My question relates to importing and then compliance. If I find one I want; can I get it here, chuck it in my garage, and then do compliance in 6-12-18 months? Or must they be complied straight off the dock? The reason I ask, I could possibly spare the cash sometime soon for one that catches my eye along with freight and customs tax, GST etc. But I understand being an older evo, compliance could be expensive and outlaying the cash all at once is just too much for me right now. So can the process be segmented? Cheers

Yes... I've heard of these guys but they don't have a website? So they can source registerable evo shells? What price should I expect to pay?
-
I have searched google and not found anything of substance. Just curious, if I was looking to buy an evo 5/6, but preferably 6 rolling shell, is there anything/anywhere in Melbourne I should look? I'd like to slowly build one of these over the next few years and start from scratch... I'd also really like it to be registerable at the end if possible. Anyone know where to start and what I should expect to pay?
