  1. The misses & I have this car and a V8 Lexus. We do big k's and its damn expensive running two larger cars. So, as much as I love it, my car needs to be sold in favor of something smaller. I'm after either an outright sale or nogotiated swap for a much smaller 4cyl turbo car... if you have a gt starlet then I certainly want to talk to you Car in Mackay, Qld. $18,000 ONO 1995 R33 GTS25-t M-spec 79,000km RB25det 5 speed manual KL0 Silver Drivers Airbag Factory Electric Sunroof Floor mats M-spec side skirts climate control, power everything, etc. Few tasteful mods... Carrozzeria (Pioneer) CD Player Mongoose Turbo Timer compatible alarm, dual passive immobiliser, with keyless entry Black Pearl tinted windows Speco boost guage mounted on steering column Hidden Turbo Timer (In ash try) Full 3" exhaust with Twin Dump Pipe, Cat, muffler, and stainless steal cannon. Hybrid copy FMIC kit with polished blue aluminium piping Turbosmart Boost Controller Pod filter 17" R34gtt rims with heaps of falken rubber Stealth wing I am the second Australian owner of this car. It was brought into the country almost 2 years ago through Prestige Motorsport. It was stock as a rock and was given a jap auction grade of 4.0. I can provide the original stock report to anyone who is genuinely interested. I service this car every 5000km, and have kept my own personal logs of everything I have done. I have owned it for a little over a year and never had a single mechanical issue. Interior and exterior are both in great nick, and it is mechanically A1. I have recently inspected the timing belt and it is still nice and tight with no hint of cracking. Also inspected the turbo... very smooth with no shaft play. Any mechanical inspection is welcome. *Car is currently running stock boost, but the buyer will be given the turbosmart bleed valve that was on the car when I bought it. *I still have the larger series II wing, so the buyer may choose between it and the stealth wing. *I also have a brand new unfitted Apexi PowerFC with hand controller that I havn't hooked up / had tuned yet. As I'm not going to be needing it anymore, its inclusion can be nogotiated. *I will also be including a consult interface cable and software that lets IBM compatible PCs talk to nissan ECUs. Theres plenty of diagnostic and monitoring features. Its great for electrical troublshooting so you don't have to go anywhere near a multimeter. *Car has just been serviced & has a new battery (2yr warranty) *Rego till 3/06. My aim was to build a reliable 200rwkw car. I love the car, but practicality first. I think that covers just about everything. Feel free to post any other questions here, pm, or give me a call. More pics if required also. The car will go to the person who offers nearest 18k... or wants to swap a smaller turbo car. So if you know someone, tell em to call me! Cheers! 2. I'm not sure how you could find out... Quickest unopened rb20 ive seen in the flesh wasnt in a r32, but rather in a mates 260z. It does mid 12 sec passes with nothing more than intake/exhaust, bigger turbo & chipped ecu. But I too would be interested to know what the quickest 32 with rb20 does.
  3. Anything that old will near certainly have 250,000km + regardless of what the odometer says... I would go for the latest model skyline u can afford. The older the car u get, the more its gonna cost in maintenance. I have a couple of mates with high km rb20's... they dont seem to break, just get tired! ...ie. need to crank longer to turn over, tired throttle response.
  4. actually, thats interesting... "gts25t" is just a sticker, yet so many r33's are debadged at the rear. You can understand that people would flog the "GT" badge on the other side, but the sticker?? ...maybe r33 owners just dont like it & take it off or something? Mine still has the sticker, and i've never considered taking it off... i like to proudly advertise the skyline name
  5. oxygen sensor beer baron... i wouldnt stand for consumption like that! RB25 is a small engine, you can get that kinda consumption out of a genIII v8!
  6. I get around 12L/100km. They arnt too bad unless ur gonna frequently drive around on boost... they get stupid thirsty with high rpm & boost. I do alot of highway km's, and find that consumption could be better here... they are reasonably high reving, near 3000rpm in 5th at 100k's.
  7. Does sound like the o2 sensor.... it should only have a 0-1v range, and its easy enough to check the voltage if you've got a pin out diagram for the ecu, and of course someone to check it while you're driving. I basically bought the cable coz i was lazy... but its great to have there for when things do go wrong. Chances are you'll be able to work it out in 5 mins, rather then days of rooting around with a multimeter... dont rely on ecu diagnostics to tell you the prob either... I can unplug all my sensors and it wont spit up an error coad. My sensor was stuffed... the ecu seems to get a constant 3v if it cannot communicate with the sensor. The rb25 manual stated this, and was right... it showed constant 3v, even when i unplugged the sensor, 3v came up as the sensors output! So it was pretty easy to find
  8. i used it to diagnose a rough idle issue i've had for a year. Turned out to be a faulty o2 sensor... no ecu error codes, no bad fuel economy... but datascan sussed it out!
  9. a 1.5 also would have come standard with the larger series II wing... there is other stuff, just cant remember at the minute?
  10. My boot was bare when i bought the car... I tried relentlessly to squeeze one of my full size stocko tyres in there, but it just wouldnt happen
  11. My best mate has one... he has had it for just over a year, and it has spent at least half of that time in the workshop. He's blown the stock turbo, two heavy duty clutches, and has had some suspension issues... and the latest, bearings on the gearbox input shaft are packin it in. Its a 92 model with just under 100,000km. He just drives it too hard, and the turbo blew coz he was running 14psi through it, which was asking for trouble! My opinion is that if you go easy on the drivetrain, then you should have a reliable car. Theres no need to worry bout the SR20, but when its making bigger power the stock gearbox/diffs/clutch starts to get a bit tired. Great car in many respects tho... I considered getting one for a while
  12. I am currently doing exactly the same as you... me and the misses have a v8 lexus, and an r33... its a bit much. I'm selling the r33 to get a turbo hatch... most probably a gt starlet.
  13. I have a series II wing in silver with working brake light.... cept its series 1.5 silver, so its lighter than series II silver... code KL0 if I remember right. pm me if ur interested.
  14. I'll take the AFM... if its identical to the turbo one...?
  15. hahaha!!! awwwt.... I'm thinking about it. The slatted grill is deadset crap, they should have put the red 's' on all of em. gwaping2k, that turbosmart bov have an r33 adapter by any chance?
  16. dont wanna sell ur grill by any chance?
  17. Has anyone tried this? ....can anyone confirm that, for example, unplugging your air flow meter & running ECU diagnostics WILL produce the related air flow meter error code? I'm just after absolute confirmation that my ECU is stuffed. If so, i'll bite the bullet & goto powerfc.... i'll even post a pic of my smashed stock ECU.
  18. haha! ....I have a mate with the exact same year/model car as me, cept its an auto & mines manual....so I cant swap test his ECU! bah!
  19. I've been trying to fix a niggling idle problem on my 33 gtst & can't for the life of me work it out... but, I'm not hear to make another lumpy idle thread, but rather, I stumbled apon something very odd this afternoon.... In ECU diagnostic mode, the light always flashes 55; everything sweet. But, I decided today to unplug the AFM & run it again, obviously expecting to see an error code relating to the AFM. I ran it, it flashed 55. Tried it twice more with upplugged TPS & O2 sensors....same, flashed 55. Now, call me stupid, but shouldnt the sensors be plugged in for the ECU to tell me that everything is fine? How can it flash 55 when the plug goes to nowhere?? :bs!: is it broken? Please tell me its broken... i'll smash it right now.
  20. oh yeh, sorry, dont get me wrong... very happy with my purchase! Thank-you to everyone involved!
  21. HASHIRIYA, can you also pm me a price for r33 gts25t + hand controller? ...cheers!
