  1. About $10K more than it was supposed to (and the wife knows about...) - I thank the diving Aussie dollar for that one... If you have contact details for the N1 you saw let me know. I'm starting an N1 register. The other one now resides in Adelaide too. Please note, I did not pay ashneel to say this! lol Cheers mate, let me know whenever you're ready.
  2. Haha, I know what you mean about eating, sleeping and dreaming about GT-Rs...here is mine, which is currently on its way over here... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...ss-t234080.html I'm shooting myself in the foot here, but if you want one straight away, you'd be hard pressed to get better than Beer Baron's car... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ba...ll-t230835.html
  3. Most of them in SA do these days - I know I instinctively slow down to go through intersections now, so I guess having them around the place has done its job.... ...oh and please tell me you know those girls in your avatar...
  4. Actually that's not true - you are only allowed to enter an intersection on a yellow when it is clear that you weren't able to pull up at the lights safely. You're not supposed to enter an intersection at any time when the light is red. A couple of guys in SA got done for pulling out of a service station and accelerating through an adjacent intersection on a yellow, even though it hadn't turned red till after they went through. (Before you ask, Australian Road Rules are the same across Australia, although I think Vic has some kind of exceptions with the 'turn right from the left lane' thing they've got going on in the centre of Melbourne). Having said all this, red light camera triggers are just after the white line as you enter an intersection, so if you'd made it past that before the light went red, you're probably safe.
  5. lol the last few are, ya goose! Ash you're as bad as my agents in Japan with the bonnet ajar for pics... ...oh and change your username immediately, traitor!
  6. Are there enough good cars of each generation to make it flow from the Prince Skyline GT-B right through to R35?
  7. If the N1 gets here in time, it'll be available for pics Added: there are a couple of VERY tough 31s lurking in sheds too around the place, which might be available too. Not sure if you want ring ins though. It's not like there aren't enough tough cars on here already. RyanRB25's car - award winning fitment fella.
  8. Oops sorry, missed this one. Yeah I just spoke to him on the phone - he's forgotten the wait now, funnily enough. People never believe me when I say that once they get the car they'll forget about how long it took to arrive. That car gave me so many headaches, I'm quite happy he's got it too. Very, very nice car - I drove it a fair bit in Japan lol.
  9. If it still has the "exhaust by Hoover" on it, I'm not surprised
  10. lol I think I know who that was. Car has just arrived from interstate.
  11. lol phone calls always work best with me Make sure you remove the fake race-filler thingy lol Glad to hear it's all running sweetly.
  12. Yes, it's a scam.
  13. Get off your high horse son - I support a whole heap of forums financially, just not this one. I actually believe that there are other ways forums can also be supported, rather than just paying money, like offering free advice, which I do quite regularly on here. I was making the point because if the aim of this thread is to sell more of your product, then you'll probably fail. Forum members can smell advertising masquerading as a news thread a mile away. You'll do far better if the people who you sell the Works Bell kits to like them enough to mention it on here, and mention where they got it from. I have a Works Bell kit on my RX-7 and think it works brilliantly. The quality of it is excellent and I will quite happily tell others if and when I'm asked. See? Free advice On the topic at hand, it's probably about time Japan got a few parts on Aussie cars, seeing just about every track and drift car in Japan runs a Hollinger gearbox lol
  14. Spotted a young lady on her Ps in a silver R33 S2 on North East Road this arvo. I was in the black RX-7 driving like a granny lol
  15. ^^^Ha ha just realised who you were
  16. Why do I feel like I've just read an advertorial...
  17. I have to go back on my word - a massive FU to the idiot in a silver R33 GT-R who cut off my wife in our Territory and gave her the finger when they were coming back from the airport tonight. Nice way to scare my kids, d*ckhead.
  18. You girls all better be waving to me when the N1 finally hits the streets. I don't usually go out of my way to get too freaked out when I see a decent import - a nod or a small wave is enough to acknowledge good taste. What I often find is that some people are intimidated by the "legend of the GT-R" - old people think you're a hoon, GTS-t drivers think you reckon you're better than them and snob them off, Commodore/Falcon owners think you drive around just looking for runs etc etc Then again, I'm old and married, so I don't feel any particular urge to impress people on the streets either lol
  19. ^^ Correct. Sorry I misread it as the car was being complied interstate. Virtually all the SA workshops will take it through Regency once the compliance work is done.
  20. I don't actually remember saying anywhere that mine has an R1 motor Besides, this is r34nur's thread, and that is one damn sexy car, although Beer Baron's motor make me have impure thoughts about mechanical things too.,,
  21. Depends on the shipping company, when it was imported, how slack the person removing them was on the day, etc....
  22. Actually the majority of European cars have them on the left hand side because usually the manufacturer can't be bothered reconfiguring it for RHD cars - after all, you still have to get out the driver's door The flares are all removed before they leave Japan, because they're considered a fire hazard by the shipping companies....
  23. Or because the car has landed and they haven't paid the car cost in yen, or because many of them have lost over $100K purely because they had 20+ cars on the boat and got stung by the exchange rate. Cut them a break guys, there are plenty of businesses doing it tough at the moment, and none of them are going to succeed if they keep selling cars at a loss...
  24. 1540kg would be the dry weight, without any fluids in the car. By the time you add up all your fluids, you'd find that was the difference. You've got an extra cooler or two under there too
