I always quote 6-8 weeks from purchase of car to driving it on the road, for ones that are being complied under SEVS. Boat takes 2-3 weeks depending on weather conditions.

SlimJim - I bring in a fair few cars and get most of them done interstate. It's no big deal - just get the ship to drop it in Qld, then truck it down when they're finished. I've got $3500 on R32 compliance in Qld - PM me for details.

I've been busy writing up the paper work over the last couple of weeks so that, in the near future, the Australian Drift Association will be formed. The general aims I have listed so far (and feel free to add more) are... To foster, promote and oversee the sport of drifting in Australia, and make administrative decisions that are in the best long-term interests of the sport To standardise rules and regulations of drifting for all major Australian events To standardise technical specifications for vehicles competing at drifting events in Australia To provide a single point of contact for CAMS when advice is required on drifting and drift events To give members the opportunity to have input into the future of the sport in Australia To provide event organisers with support regarding rules and regulations as well as competition format To promote talented drift drivers and provide a point of contact for sponsors looking for drivers and vice versa I'm currently setting up a mailing list, so if you would like your name added to it, please send me your full name and your current involvement in Drift Comps in Australia.
