  1. I don't think it would be Joe, personally. He responded on there fairly adamant that he had nothing to do with it.
  2. Results on the car above - bidding went to the equivalent of $43,000 landed and complied, but if you wanted to buy it on negotiation, the owner was prepared to start at what would be $68K landed and complied....I think the owner might be back next week with their budget revised downwards a bit...
  3. Not worth importing, and they're no longer eligible either way. Look locally if you're after something P-plate friendly.
  4. JN15 400465 - need to know if it's an Autech asap
  5. Ugh it shits me when the good guys lose. Let's hope it's only losing the battle rather than the war. Many thanks for all your efforts, JOC.
  6. I think that's one per country worldwide? Guess which country went first lol https://www.facebook.com/pages/Japanese-History-Check/557835010998928 Looks like they've had their first score - anyone know which dealer it is?
  7. lol never ever that easy. We get so many SOS calls from people with cars stuck on docks all over Australia. If you want to do it on your own, go for it, but don't be surprised if it's 1) more difficult and 2) more expensive than you imagined.
  8. I'm getting an FX50 I reckon the Skyline Crossover is a highly under-rated car, and good value for money compared to the FX too, mainly because you can get them out of Japan.
  9. Hugely frustrating from my end too guys, sorry, shit like this makes my business look bad
  10. Don't expect change from $40K for a neat replica. Man I'm wishing i'd bought one a year or two ago...
  11. Massively disappointed in the whole state of affairs. I have deliberately stayed out of this whole thing since it began, but Joe presumably believed that because he hates a workshop I use, that I'm part of some vendetta to bury him. He decided to start bagging Iron Chef in the secret Evolution Squad group, safe in the knowledge that I wouldn't see it or be able to reply. Someone I know posted me a screen shot, I got added to the group, called him out on it, he then turned around and said he "wasn't trying to discredit any business" and that he was just trying to tell people the truth. By then the knives were out, and the last post I saw was someone saying they were quite happy to call him a c**t to his face. From what I can gather he then deleted his posts and left the group, at which point the mods deleted the thread because it no longer made sense.
  12. Opel was gone after a year because GM couldn't manage a root in a brothel
  13. All I can say is I was very happy that they sent it to my aunty's account rather than some of the other UK businesses I've dealt with in the past!
  14. I've got the same problem, but at the other end! Bought this a few weeks back, but there was a mixup with overseas transfers and the money was sent to my aunt (who is currently in China!), so have to sit tight until she returns....grrrr
  15. PS If any of our customers are having specific issues, PM me and I'll make some calls. PPS As frustrated as you may be, DON'T be tempted to call Canberra!! They will tell you nothing over the phone, and the ones who abuse them the most are also the ones who tend to wait the longest.
  16. Hi guys, Sorry, I'm only coming in on the tail end of the conversation here, but a few things to bear in mind when it comes to delays with compliance: 1) The most important one - THE WORKSHOP DOESN'T GET PAID UNTIL YOU PICK UP THE CAR. In other words, every workshop wants your car done and out of there as quickly as you do, so they can get paid for their work. 2) There have been delays on issuing import approvals and compliance plates right across the board. Evidently a few staff in Canberra decided to all take holidays at the same time, apparently oblivious to the effect it may have on the workshops. Everything has been delayed through RAWS as a result, and it's still happening, nearly a month later. All standard stuff for Canberra. 3) The more there are delays and hiccups in the system, the harder it gets for workshops to keep an eye on their "plates per 12 month period" limit. Whether or not you've hit the limit is determined by a computer system, and of course if the wrong data is entered at the other end, it basically means the workshop can't comply any cars until it's sorted out. 4) The closer you get to getting your car, the more frustrating the delays will become remember, I buy my own cars too, and I find it just as frustrating as you guys do!
  17. Look what happens when I'm fired up....lol A revised version of it will be in a future issue of HPI mag.
  18. Are they personal imports or are they coming in via SEVS/RAWS? PM me if needed.
  19. Of course it's going to outperform an R34, jeez I'd be fairly disappointed if it didn't. As you mature, you start to realise that "faster" and "more enjoyable" don't always go hand in hand
  20. Sedan is just the generic term the government uses to denote most vehicles that are for private use.
  21. Effectively forever. One of the best quality exhaust systems you'll ever buy.
  22. http://raws.infrastructure.gov.au/rawswebpublic/RAWPubVehSearch.asp If he writes in the VIN of the car he's looking at, all the specs are on there in the compliance data.
  23. Right you are guvna - RNN14-002531
