  1. I have time - Japan is dead as a doornail at the moment...
  2. If it's a Legacy and not a Liberty, it's a JDM model.
  3. Both will be fine to import, and can also be registered LHD anywhere in Australia. If you're old man wants help with it, tell him to drop me a line.
  4. I don't know any state in Australia that would allow anti-lag. I can think of ten different reasons why it would be illegal.
  5. I'd be curious to hear what Martin and the Willall crew think about the concept of Time Attack not encouraging R & D....
  6. Arm and a leg translates to $40K, just for the car itself, not including the costs to import it
  7. I had plenty of time to look at that radar (courtesy of sitting up in the tower with nothing to do) and it was reading differently depending on where it picked up the cars on the track. For the record, Sierra Sierra logged 298km/h (on their own data logger) at one stage
  8. I spent most of the Sunday after the event with the Sierra Sierra/Cosworth team - while they were disappointed to have come second, they showed unbridled enthusiasm for the event. Seriously they love how much we loved it, they were unequivocal about the US events not being anywhere near as good as WTAC. A number of big international teams said don't even bother with entry forms, we'll enter now, just send us the invoice. It's a real vote of confidence for Ian and the crew. The big difference - Ian does it for the love of the sport, not for the money. The event has a hugely positive impact on the industry as a whole too, at a time when many businesses are struggling. I've already said I want to provide a 'chase car' between sessions for 2012, as well as have a trade stand. Soooo many fantastic memories from the weekend.
  9. Hehe still a little way off being available at the moment. If someone wants to do a Mark X test car on the other hand...
  10. Bigalow, I do believe my email address is in my sig
  11. Are you from Australia or somewhere else??
  12. You guys are lucky I can't moderate on here, half this thread would be gone by now
  13. That's either a very good copy, or it has been thrashed like a red-headed step child - aftermarket front bar and series 1 headlights suggest it has had a front end hit at some point, crappy rear wing, badges in the wrong spots, ewwwww... For what it's worth, the sedan body didn't like having the rear guards widened much - they are completely notorious for rust under the rear. Virtually every one I've looked at has it.
  14. It's worth reading in here too: http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/transport-shipping/97053-transporting-your-car-oz-everything-you-need-know.html
  15. I'm getting dejavu! Shoot me an email, I do UK customers all the time
  16. I worked through it with a workshop and we sussed out it was do-able - the evidence is a combination of R33 sedan and R33 GT-R. I toyed with the idea of getting one when I bought my JZX110
  17. ^^^It's a taxi! Good luck finding a decent low-km Autech sedan under $30K... It's worth looking at JZX110s, given they can be bought in manual, are a much better quality car than the JZX100, and easily tuned. And no RWD car is going to give you traction like an Evo, that's the laws of physics
  18. No way in hell that's only gonna be $60K for repairs...
  19. I'm good thanks Karl! I was thinking I hadn't seen you around here for a while!! The more I think about it, the more I reckon an Octavia RS with DSG box is a winner. Plus, when the Tour Down Under comes past your place, you can stick some stickers on it and pretend you're a support car for the riders - hey presto, no traffic problems!
  20. Otherwise a Golf GTi but I'm not sure they fit in your budget. An Octavia RS is a lot of car for the money, for sure. Passat wagon?
  21. www.movingcars.com.au I have a corporate account with a major carrier, and these guys manage to get better discounts than I do... PS anything out of Adelaide is going to be double what it is coming in the other direction.
