  1. Yeah I know, would be good fitment for a V35 though I would've thought...
  2. The magic of the internet - I knew the month because it's very close the chassis number of my own car, FAST filled in the other bits...

  6. You putting your hand up for the job, Shane?
  7. I think you'll find that's a national law, not a state one. Of course, there's no reason why more 60km/h sections can't be introduced. The 85% percentile rule used to determine what limits were set, but from what I can gather, many of the limits are now set by local government without any information other than reducing limits in areas where the most constituents complain
  8. Dohmar you're on the money, good discussion starting here
  9. Calm down, I'm just putting the idea out there, not running for President
  10. I got chatting to someone the other day about politics and how car enthusiasts' interests, in our opinion at least, are woefully under-represented in Parliament. The Libs are certainly open to the idea of things like the Motorplex, which is a big plus over Labor in my opinion, but then again, it wouldn't be the first time politicians went back on their word if they changed their mind about it after the election... Nick Xenophon, as an example, ran as an independent in the Upper House (Legislative Council) on his No Pokies platform, and because he held the balance of power there, was able to achieve a huge amount for his own cause because he had the Labor party of the day by the balls - "if you want me to vote this through, you need to do this" kind-of thing. So this got me thinking - why can't we do the same? At the 2011 election, a few independent politicians attempted half-heartedly to jump on the motoring enthusiasts' bandwagon late in the piece, but they were generally trying to win seats in the Lower House, and because of the way electorates are split, had no luck whatsoever. If it's going to be successful, we have to put all our resources into making sure one or possibly two people get into the Upper House, which is based on votes received right across South Australia. From that perspective, we need to be co-ordinated, and start planning as of now. So this thread is designed to get some discussion going, and see what you guys think - do you think the collective motoring enthusiasts of South Australia could get one or two independent candidates over the line? Is this idea completely insane?
  11. The above rims on an S15 (will need guard work on the rears to fit properly on an S15)
  12. Nismo LM-GT4 in silver with machined lip. I don't need to explain the awesomeness of these rims - if you don't know why they're good, Google. 18x8.5 +25 (F) 18x9.5 +30 ® 5x114.3 9.5/10 in terms of condition, no kerb marks or scrapes anywhere. Tyres are shagged, I can strip them off if an interstate buyer doesn't want them. Includes Nismo valve stem caps and a full set of 7-sided Nismo wheel nuts (does NOT include the socket though, you'd need to buy one elsewhere) $2500 FIRM Don't bother low-balling, I'd rather keep them than sell them for less.
  13. ^^^Hehehe And Jase, shame on you Yes, I see EVERYTHING....
  14. That's US-spec bumpers - easily removed
  15. Give me a buzz Brad
  16. As the title says, I need a good one in the southern suburbs for my customer to go get his M35 wiring checked out - any suggestions??
  17. Personally, I'd swallow my pride and get some of these in 18" or 19" (scroll down to the LM replicas...) http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=695619
  18. Put it this way, my N1 has been converted to Nismo R1 specs. I'd love to see what the trainspotters on GTROC make of it. On the one hand it's one of 18 VS2 N1s, but it has been bastardised by getting 'aftermarket parts' put on it, making it worth less. On the other, sending it to Nismo Omori has made it one of two R1/N1 combos ever built, making it worth more. In the end it's up to the buyer. As a prospective buyer, I'd be interested in a rare car's story (and provenance) more than its originality. N1 blocks can easily be put back on if the new owner wants to do so - in my opinion, a Nur is a Nur. The bloke emailing you is a knob
  19. If I could 'like' a post, I'd like this one! You've summed it up perfectly Al!
