  1. Hi guys, the Australian Motoring Enthusiast Party needs our help so that they can register for the SA state elections in March next year. Most of the really good decision making happens at a state level - with the AMEP now having a Senator at a federal level, it's a great chance to consolidate things with a win in the Legislative Council in SA. The AMEP needs 200 signed members by the close of business THIS FRIDAY (5pm). For those of you signing up for the first time, membership is an annual fee of $20 and we will also require that you are already enrolled to vote and have a valid residential address. If you are already a paid member, you do not have to pay your membership fee again, but you will still need to fill the form out. We will be manning stands across Adelaide 5-9pm TONIGHT (addresses below), tell your mates and together we can make a difference at State level. Locations (with google maps links): Autobarn Noarlunga: http://goo.gl/maps/sUq2L Autobarn Mile End: http://goo.gl/maps/IM6Xs Autobarn Gilles Plains (Holden Hill): http://goo.gl/maps/P15rt Supercheap Elizabeth: http://goo.gl/maps/VgAuW Thanks for your help guys, we really need this to work if we're going to see lasting changes to laws and regs in SA. https://www.facebook.com/AustralianMotoringEnthusiastPartyofSA?fref=ts The form is attached, if you want to fill it out at home and drop it off, but we need it TODAY AMEP Membership Form - SA FINAL.pdf
  2. Yeah probably wiser to sell it off and buy here Anton, presuming you paid a reasonable amount for it in the UK. On the upside, there are plenty of good GT-Rs here
  3. The problem is there are also punters who will turn a blind eye to it, even though they know the odometer has been hit. Just as an aside, why aren't dealers compelled to list VINs in their ads in the same way private advertisers are?? I've only just noticed this.
  4. Nick if you're getting your car complied in Melbourne, expect delays - it seems Canberra has decided that the Crown Athlete and the Crown Majesta are two completely separate cars.
  5. R32N1, have they optioned the air-con back in? Back in the R32 days there was a lot of mixing and matching going on, a lot of stuff could be ordered to be re-fitted. In terms of numbers, all I know is that it's 228 in total, covering all R32s. VS2 N1s would definitely be less than 50.
  6. Holy shit, that's awesome. Devastated that you're in NZ, I was hoping I'd get a chance to see it in Oz!!
  7. Like I said, I'm only going on what I was told. Todd from Japlink can clarify.
  8. So now we'll end up with the same silly situation as applied to R32 GT-Rs - we'll need to check build dates so that cars don't fall into the 12-month window when Opel sold them here. Stupid.
  9. The Baron hasn't quite told you the full story - it's not just any old V-Spec II. It's a grade 5A V-Spec II. You will wet yourselves when the pics come through...I've been bugging my agent for them ever since we bought the damn thing...
  10. I really don't know, to be honest. It was definitely built by Top Secret, after that I don't know. Judging by how tight my arse cheeks were at full throttle, it was packing more than 500Kw at the wheels when I drove it...
  11. Bobby if you want me to also post it on Iron Chef, flick me a PM and we can arrange it. More than happy to put the word out.
  12. Rare enough that I thought we'd never find anything similar after we got Cherry Racer's car. This is once in 2 years-type.
  13. *Apologies for going OT, will cut it out after this* Haha Terry, I can confidently say I've never bought a grade 2 in the entire time I've been importing! Actually the deal for getting her the V36 was that I get to bring in one of these as a family car:
  14. Hahaha I'm having a chuckle at the last dozen or so posts - wife, 3 kids and a mortgage and 42 - in exchange for keeping my N1, wifey has now requested a V36 coupe for herself...in manual, bless her.
  15. Cheers Bertram - I couldn't get my FAST installed on the new computer, dammit. It confirmed what I thought - a normal GT-R advertised as a V-Spec. We left it. Gonna be one v pissed buyer today.
  16. Can someone urgently run this one? BCNR33-043264
  17. No that's not correct, imported cars are registered as the year that they're built, not the year they're complied. Either there has been an epic stuff up at the RTA or that, dear friends, is a rebirth. For a short time (about 10 years ago), there was a loophole in the import regs that allowed whole cars to be imported as wrecks then cars here could be re-shelled semi-legally, but I've only ever seen examples of these cars registered in Vic. The importer responsible clocked up fines somewhere in the six figures for what he did. The duped owners were allowed to keep their cars registered in Vic, but they can't be registered elsewhere. I would be steering WELL clear.
  18. Liam, I would presume so. That pic was taken on a gearchange between 2nd and 3rd onto the front straight at SMSP. E85 is a beautiful thing!!
  19. They made more than one evidently. The guys from Japlink can clarify. This one has had a whole stack of work done to it since arriving in Australia, both before and after I drove it.
  20. I'm talking about the trim around the window switches, not that one. Ended up pulling them out and painting them,
  21. As above, PM me with a price. Prefer in WA so I don't have to stuff around with postage, but it's no biggie either way. Cheers Kristian
  22. Doesn't match so well when you have tan trim
